Not saying I believe this scenario either, but I will offer this possibility. What about a good trucker buddy Mark might know, that LE has no idea about? I mean there are probably guys out there who would be crazy enough to think they're helping a buddy out. Unlikely but just throwing it out there.

Or what about some relative nobody on the other side ever thought about? It would be hard for LE to trace his whole family history back to a 4th cousin twice removed or some such, wouldn't it? I'm sure they looked at close relatives, but maybe not ones who are not so close, KWIM?

Like you, I'm afraid that after this long, it's pretty far-fetched to think Dylan is voluntarily staying hidden. I just want no stones left unturned, this child needs to be brought home.

Or someone Mark met online? not saying he does, but a lot of people meet now online. Maybe thought the person was ok, turned out to not be ok? Or the two agreed to hide Dylan?

Or a relative of a friend - someone that Mark didn't really know but knew through someone else, willing to take some money to keep Dylan out of sight for a while?

I think if Mark did hide Dylan this time, the situation has gotten much larger and out of his control than he ever expected, and he could be in a jam. I thought that when he was getting that tiny spark of emotion when Dr Phil offered to help him.

Still, he would have had to been in contact with this person for a while. I don't think you can suddenly run into some far flung relation and say, hey, hide my kid for me and risk prison time, would you? Or a co-worker or peer. So he either (IMO) started using a bat phone once he decided to do this, in which case there should be a sudden lack of contact with someone on his regular bill, or he always had a bat phone, just in case?

I think initially, yes, LE would look at people closest to MR, but over three-plus months would have branched out pretty far. After all, LE said at one point they were following up on tips from "psychics."

From me it comes from the fact that if I remember correctly there has never been a case of a child being snatched by a perp in that area . Can you please offer me any statistics of a child being snatched by a pedophile in vallecito in the last 5/10 years ?

Then I add in the fact that Dylan was a visitor and did not live there full time and that would also make the odds less IMO

There is always a first time. Kids have been taken from areas that have never had anything like that happen before.
Predators are opportunists. They don't sit around in the same spot looking for victims, they move around. Maybe they don't even plan on doing anything at that moment, but when the opportunity comes up, they take advantage of it. Some of them will stalk their victims, and plan abductions, but not all of them and not every time. If they see the opportunity, they will take it.
And for many of them, remote areas are better, because there is less chance of being seen. However, some kids are grabbed right off the street in highly populated areas, or right out of someone's yard.
It takes mere seconds.
I'm not saying this is what happened, IDK. I'm just saying it COULD happen.

Amber Hagerman was snatched off her bike just down the street from her home in a busy area with one witness who said it happened just almost instantly. Another Opal Jo Jennings was in her front yard playing and a car came up and snatched her... it was a neighborhood where the homes are very near.. not rural at all and still no one saw and was able to give a description or anything. I dont understand why child predators seem to catch all the lucky breaks when it comes to invisibility :(

Ugh, I remember both of these precious angels. :(

I know for a fact that some providers have service in some areas that other providers do not. If she had a different service provider than MB or Mark did, it could make a big difference.

My son has Verizon, and we have AT&T. My son could not get a signal in some places when he was driving a truck, yet my husband had been in that same area on his route, and had no problem with getting a signal any time.

We have to go outside to get a good signal with our phones. Yet my son can sit on my sofa and call or text with no problem.

My dh and I both have Sprint, both have iPhones. He can use his cell in the house, but I can't get a signal. I can text but can't make calls. Strangest thing.

RE: the most recent hits and them saying lots of homeless are in that area. Has anyone talked to these homeless people to see if they saw anything? If it's a known area for homeless to hang out, why would anyone choose that area to hide a body?

This has probably been asked and answered, but if someone could help me I would appreciate it.

Since plans were made by Dylan to be at his friends at 6:30, what happened to this planned meeting time? Has MR explained why the time changed? IIRC, MR has stated he knew the plan was for Dylan to meet up with his friends at 6:30 am. So why the 7:30 change?

Mark lives next to a river that feeds a big lake. So I sure wouldn't hold it against him for talking about those things.

I wouldn't either......except for the lack of cell phone use......and the fact he had arrangements to see his friend

Does anyone remember who posted last night a LINK to I think pineriver times and it said at the bottom of the link that ' fridays episode, dr phil offers to do a follow up with cr and er '?
I wonder if dr phil might be able to get some crew to DONATE their time and services to do that search in the water. One site yesterday said the family is deciding what to do now because teh cost of a winter time search in the icy lake is so expensive and they're trying to make a plan. Obviously la plata co. has not offered to do it . But I'd bet as many people saw dr phils' show , if he were to reach out to a team that does that , they could get it donated .
Which all means nothing because Dylan is alive !

In this scenario, LE most likely would have MR's internet history and should be able to prove or disprove this theory.

IMO there would be some electronic history, somewhere, of the person MR has "hiding" Dylan if this were the case.

Honestly, why not just take off with Dylan, as thousands of parents and other relatives have done before and as HE has done before? This idea of "hiding" him, from everyone including himself makes zero sense.

I was hopeful when MR brought it up, that there may have been some further explanation about the fishing pole. Unfortunately he was interrupted and shouted down before he got to say anything much about it at all.

If MR would have spoken to his family BEFORE Dr Phil. This could all have been avoided. I can totally understand the frustration, Id be screaming too.
I feel MR is toying with her. Mrs Redwine!

Even on the show this could have all ended with a simple
Elaine im so sorry I totally understand how and why you feel this way but I did not harm our son lets work together and find dylan.

then If she continued to attack him then I would have issues with elaine
but sadly Mark has created this beast..

BBM - this has bothered me for so long and I just can't get past it.
If you know that your son planned to be somewhere at 6:30 am why would you wait until around 6:30 to wake him up? It's about a 20 minute drive to the friends home, so wouldn't you normally wake someone up BEFORE 6:30 let's say 6 am?

It's a HUGE pet peeve of mine when people are suppose to be somewhere at 11:30 and call you at 11:30 to say, hey I'm gonna be late.

I am not denying that but then when I weigh in with lack of mobile phone that morning and everything else then for me it lessens the odds even more :moo:

Now would be a perfect time for TES to come in.

I believe that TES will only come in with LE's permission. For some reason LE seems uninterested? I can't for the life of me figure out why?

At this point I see two things that need to happen. Mark needs to take another polygraph and the lake needs to be searched. Only then are we going to be on the way to getting answers. IMO

We need to know whether or not that is Dylan in the lake, and I absolutely believe there is a body in that lake.

We need to see Mark take a polygraph so we will know if he is or is not involved. Although IMO the answer to this is pretty obvious.

OHHHHHHHHHH ! Come on Eileen !~
You made a good point that I have not thought about.
If it's so far to get around, which everyone agrees it is
and I believe MR even said something about these far
trips and getting all things done at once when you go out
to do any errands, then why on Monday morning is he willing
to voluntarily make TWO TRIPS to town instead of just wake
up Dylan for sure and make him ride along? WOW....... a very
very very very interesting point to ponder ! MR did not want to
go out of his way on sunday night and they made these plans monday
morning to eliminate extra trips. So why did MR hop up and just say
oh well no biggie I'll just make an extra trip which will take an extra
hour , instead of FORCE Dylan to wake up and come with me ?
Big thinking !

Where is his office located? Is it in Bayfield? Or Durango?

I don't find the two trips that unblievable, though. IF he did try for an hour to wake Dylan up, then maybe he ran out of time and had to leave to get there within a certain time frame rather than miss his appointment time with the lawyer. What is he going to do, snatch Dylan off the couch and force him to go with him? Maybe he should have but maybe he just thought, 'oh well... I'll have to take him to his friend's house later.' To some men, that's just one of those things and the extra trip is no biggie.

I have driven 15 miles to the grocery store and forgot something I really needed and had to turn around and go back to the store to get it. Things sometimes happen that are out of our control.

Ugh, this LE is pissing me off! I think MR needs to take another poly as well, although not necessarily with Dr. Phil.
