My first three phones were Samsung flips. Love those suckers. Twice I rescued them from a dunk into the bathtub with a blowdryer and placing them overnight into a bag of rice. They are indestructible until they, literally, fall apart. I have graduated to the Samsung slider phone. And yes, the battery life on them is enviable.

We saved a few but we have a pool and sorry to say my kids have jumped in and stayed in with the phones in their pockets.

the look on their face when they realized it.

Priceless!

A REMINDER: Please do NOT start making up nicknames for case players. We do not allow name calling, not even of perps. Nor do we allow name variations.

You may use the person's real name or their initials, that's it.

Thanks,

I wonder who that 9:37 text was sent to? Wouldn't it be interesting if it were T? Something like 'hey I'm gonna come by your house tomorrow, wanna go fishing?' I wonder if T was on Dylan's list of friends to visit while he was there? I wonder if he still hung out with T when he was in town?

I don't believe it was R because one article said the last text R got from Dylan was shortly after 8pm.

maybe they know the 9.37 text wasn't sent by Dylan? IMO it could have been to R, but sent by somebody else, possibly someone pretending to be Dylan but couldn't pull it off.

IMO there is something significant about that text

more than 3 months and still we have not been able to clear the sunday night in a satisfactory manner

IIRC, police have checked out all registered sex offenders (2 or 3 times,) - nothing there, they went door to door talking with neighbors - nothing there, they checked out reports of sightings which turned out to be joggers - nothing there, they were unable to confirm the postal worker's sighting - nothing there, they found the Hispanic male who was looking at rental properties - nothing there, and have stated there have been no confirmed sightings of Dylan anywhere (after the Walmart surveillance)...along with no cell activity whatsoever after Sunday night.

That comes full circle back to Mark Redwine - the last *verifiable* person to be with Dylan.

Hi MrsPC - could you provide a few links for this info please. I have not seen the news that LE checked out the man that was seen early Monday morning and I'm very interest in that.

Also - I have not seen anything that says they checked out the RSOs 2 or 3 times. It has been reported 2 or 3 times, but not sure it was "checked out" that many times.

I'm up on all the rest of the stuff :)

Thanks so much.

As far as the RSO's go, I'm really questioning how thoroughly they may have been checked out. I said a few pages back that considering some of the other things that seem mayberry-esque, I wonder if it was a couple of questions. " did you see this boy'' '' ok have a good day''. Anyone who watches a ton of ID channel knows that even if someone has an alibi like they were at work, that over the course of time, that alibi might get little holes in it. Ive seen many cases where someone was at work, but on further investigation they find he might have left to get a new battery for his car and come to think of it , he was gone 3 hours to get that battery just down the street and I forgot to tell you that because we were so swamped at work that day and one of the generators broke down and it was kind of a hectic scene and I didnt' remember when you asked that , YES he was gone a long time mid day and unaccounted for ! So alibis are fine, but not 100% of alibis are ' airtight'. So......there's always that !

Huh? I removed my own question to you because I thought my question
was inappropriate ! I didn't want to make you uncomfortable ! :)

LOL it was my confusion, I was going off of your post and thought that you felt what I said was inappropriate. It's all good, everyone explained it to me :)

I just reread an article about texts to R and it said the last text he got from Dylan was around 8pm. I do not believe the 9:37 text was sent to him. I will not be surprised if we find out it was sent to T.

If MR did something to Dylan after McDonalds and before 9:37 and was trying to cover his tracks and he did put him in the lake, I can see the fishing pole story and the going to T's story all being conjured up. Both could be an explanation for why Dylan was found in the lake.

There's a reason why the story about going to T's the next day has changed. We need to look at the inconsistencies. I think it's possible that he said he went to T's but T hadn't seen Dylan but when LE checked with T and family they said they weren't even home. So therefore the story changed to I went to T's and nobody was home. I don't know if maybe he went back to T's later that night or not but perhaps? He seems pretty focused on saying Dylan headed to T's at the lake and the fishing pole was missing.

Also notice when a sensitive issue for MR seems to come up he tries to deflect. When they talked about Dylan possibly walking to T's he quickly angered about how it wasn't that far from his house. IMO thus deflecting away from the point of the conversation. Elaine was trying to say Dylan would not walk that far and immediately MR gets angered with Elaine and was trying to say it was not that far! But DP had his handy dandy map ready :) I see that he uses getting angry with her as a way to deflect. It's probably worked in the past. Get her fired up and angry and the conversation might go off into a different area thus he doesn't have to answer the original question.

If my memory is right, on the Phil show is the first time MR said something about a bridge DR would go to sometimes and just ' hang around' or 'hang out'. That's why I wondered the depth of the river at that point. That river flows into the big lake. Curious ! Also curious is he says DR would go to the big rock wall behind his house, or to the campground or to the bridge and hang out by himself. That seems odd to me. Surely he would have some contacts at those places. So maybe he knew someone at the campground...that no one knew he knew? FWIW

I was thinking last night, if MR was innocent, why did he not suspect ER from the start, with their history? Why didn't he call her up, screaming that he knew she took Dylan? That would have been a normal reaction, in this particular situation, one would think. Instead he sends her a text, and then is soon talking about Dylan falling into lakes, hanging out at dubious places, talking to strangers, probably being taken out of the area, etc. everything but the obvious idea that the other parent took him (obvious only due to the hostilities). It seemed like he only accused ER much later just to antagonize her. But it seems to me that should have been the first reaction of an innocent parent at war with the ex.

I think most of the campgrounds in the area were closed for the winter. Do you know the name of the campground he's referring to and where exactly this bridge is?

According to the articles just linked above, there were 9 offenders in the Vallecito and Bayfield area. I would guess some have been more thoroughly investigated than others, depending on whether their previous offenses fit a certain profile. I was curious as to what sex crimes required registration in Colorado and for how long so I googled the laws. Completely OT, but so astonishing that I have to mention it: a psychotherapist found guilty of sexual contact with a patient or client is not required to register.

As far as investigating neighbors, I wonder how far they would go as far as verifiying whereabouts, etc. if there is nothing that draws any suspicion. I am thinking most of the canvasing of the neighborhood consisted of asking questions about Dylan and MR. All MOO

I'm so afraid DR is in the lake with the recent hits by the cadaver dogs. I would have preferred MR had him hidden. But early on IIRC he mentioned the lake and fishing pole to IMO drum up a reason that DR would himself be near the lake. Hope I'm wrong. MOO

Maybe because she had never done that in the past? If she had, I would think that would definitely be his first reaction. Just as hers was probably to assume he was hiding him somewhere. I believe this is the reason why should would contact her attorney almost immediately (if she did indeed do that).

1) Mark planned for up to three months to murder and dispose of Dylan
2) Mark flew into a rage at some point and unintentionally killed Dylan
3) Mark handed Dylan off to someone who has kept Dylan hidden for three months
4) Mark had his own place to hide Dylan for three months (no assistance)
5) Someone else picked up Dylan and is hiding him (benign)
6) Someone else picked up Dylan and is hiding him (foul play)
7) Someone else picked up Dylan and killed him

A) Mark did something
B) Someone else did something. IMO - this "someone else" category is too broad and without being allowed to bring in other names I think this is a futile exercise.

Months later, those are still the same options :(

For anything that was premeditated, I've been pondering what the consequences were of that canceled Saturday flight. What impact did that have on plans to pick up, hide or murder Dylan?

Speaking of the lake...does anyone know if LE has been out searching this weekend as it was reported they were going to? There seems to be no chatter about this anywhere.
