An hour? How do you figure? we have Mark supposedly getting back home around 11:30 (if we take his word for it) and then being at the Marshals office - was it 5 or 6? So for all we know he thought about it for 5 - 6 hours.

He's stated that he took a brief nap and then went out looking for his son, which has been confirmed by Dylan's friends and not publicly disputed by police. Everything else is blatant speculation. You're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to mine. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Again, different strokes for different folks. Everyone has an idea of how everyone else should raise their children. You say tomayto, I say tohmatoh. Over the course of the various interviews that despite what MR said about being strict, he wasn't. Same with ER. You act like he went into a RiP Vanwinkle sleep instead of took a 20-30 minute nap(that's what he stated how long the nap was.)

BBM: MR has offered differing lengths of nap time. 2 hours, 1-2 hours and now, more recently, 20-30 minutes. I will be happy to produce links tomorrow when I have more time in front of the computer. In the meantime, maybe other sleuthers recall offhand which interviews correspond to which times? I belive the uncut Blasius interview refers to 1-2 hours and a prior interview (maybe an uncut KOAT interview?) refers to 2+.

In earlier interview with a tv reporter he said he napped for a couple of hours.

I am getting the feeling MR's new interest in being proactive is because possibly things are heating up for Mark in someway from LE. After 6 - 7 months it seems something is different & blaming the S/W's on Elaine is one think that make me thing that. I am not buying this sudden wanting to search in other places bit. Something is up ~ all JMO.

In November, MR said Elaine was making more of this than it needs to be and just recently, he said the only reason LE got a search warrant was because of Elaine's words. That tells me that from start to finish since Dylan went missing, he has been vocal about criticizing Elaine instead of looking for Dylan. Because she believes MR knows more than he says, when she mentions him in an interview it is to help find Dylan. When he mentions her, it is to berate and distract. IMO.

It's all how you look at it. I think saying to the public over and over again that she suspects Dylan's father is to berate him and it serves to distract from enticing the general public to be on the lookout for Dylan. After all, why look if we already know what happened to Dylan. It's sad the side show that the public finger-pointing has generated. I challenge any of you to explain to me how that has helped raise awareness about Dylan in a positive way.

But, did get off topic....

What can we do, here, to help find Dylan Redwine?

Can I get a link for that, as I can't recall him stating a couple hours? I know he said he took a nap in a few but the only time I recall him addressing how long it was, was the other night.

BBM I was born and raised there. It is definitely remote. We fished a lot growing up. :greetings:

Hang fliers, look for him everywhere we go, share fliers, um....send Ransom back out on a search again....

That's what I do. I think Ransom has searched again (maybe in June).

I've been hoping it was possible to discuss possibilities here....

I think most people have a heart & believe a child needs to be found & brought home regardless of the circumstances. If you believe this whole topic should be hush-hush, why participate then? ~ no disrespect, just curious.

It is not nice for her to berate his father. She started saying she suspected him on her first national interview. I agree that made the general public think it is not necessary to look for Dylan. In addition, it was a horrible thing to do.

MB uncut interview with MR posted here on Websleuths:[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8813297&postcount=79"]Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Dylan Redwine *Media , Maps & Timelines*[/ame]

And, I had laid down and took a nap, which is something I try to do as much as I can when I’m not working because we always work, you know, 14-hour days. It feels good to be home.

And, it was probably 2:30 by the time I realized that Dylan still is not home and so I’m thinkin’ well, if he ain’t gonna’ return my text messages and I ain’t hearing my phone ringing ‘cos he ain’t calling me, I
need to go find that boy.

From the Dr Phil show transcript day 1 posted here on Websleuths:

I did lay down and take a nap for probably no more than an hour

I started looking for him at 2:30 or 3:00 in the afternoon. I contacted his friend that he had been texting the night before. They hadn’t heard from him all day, so that’s truly when it started to set in. Where’s Dylan?

Are we allowed to post from the radio show transcripts? Nap is mentioned on the 6/9 episode.

Do you know much about the reactions of loved ones to having a missing family member? I worked for a time as a victim advocate and sometimes emotions become overwhelming, including depression, despair, and sadness. Everyone copes differently and Mark Redwine could very well be coming to grips with his emotions and trying everything he knows to find his missing son. I'm sure all the accusations directed at him did not make coming forward any easier. He is doing so now and that can be a very normal reaction to this crisis.

IMO, I believe MR has been consistent that the nap was no more than an hour.

I certainly wouldn't use the word berate, but if you suspected a neighbor, RSO, the clerk at the grocery store had something to do with your child's disappearance would you be politely quiet or would you open your mouth? I think she has done remarkably well all the way around & I don't know how she has done it. I see no evidence at all that the general public does not need to or is not interested in searching.

UPDATED 9:15 p.m. Montgomery County Police say a teenager found dead in Rock Creek Park in Chevy Chase likely died accidentally when a tree fell and struck him during severe storms on Monday.

Josh Davis, 15, of Chevy Chase was found dead around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday when police and MCFRS units responded to the report of an injured person in the woods near the 9200 block of Jones Mill Road, according to a police press release.
Capt. Jim Daly, a police spokesperson, said police suspect the teenager was riding his bike off the main trail when he was hit by a falling tree. Police confirmed Davis was the same individual reported missing nearby on Monday night. His parents told police he hadn’t returned from a bike ride.

I don't know what happened to Dylan, but an accident is still a possibility in my mind although the 50 foot scent trail points to Dylan getting in a vehicle....

"Well, when I got home and he wasn't here I didn't think much of it at the time, because it's not unlike him to go wandering off. He'll walk down to the river across the street or you know, he might go up into the campground where he can be next to the river up there. I didn't think a whole lot about it. And, I had laid down and took a nap, which is something I try to do as much as I can when I'm not working because WE always work, you know, 14-hour days. It feels good to be home. [This is in my notes, but I can't find the original link. Anyone know which interview this is from?]

That doesn't say that's when he woke up from his nap. That says when he got alarmed about him not being back. It doesn't even say how long the nap was.
