That's what it's like growing up with a narcissistic abuser. You just don't question any of it, and it's only when you grow up and talk to other adults that you realise what you experienced was not at all the "normal" experience other people have.

This is projection on my part, but every time I think of Gannon and his health issues, I just want to cry. I would have showered that child in love, support and comfort. Nothing was his fault. He wanted to live.

Why the questions about whether or not they went to church that Sunday? Has it ever been mentioned before now? It was brought up in direct, cross, and redirect. But I don’t recall ever hearing anything about church that day until today.
T said that Gannon needed his medication to sit still in church. She has also indicated IIRC that Gannon dud not take his meds that weekend. Did they go to church? Didn't they? Perhaps Little L has something to say about the events of that whole day.

It seems clear that T is defective. Is, was, will always be. She is being revealed as the self-absorbed, manipulative, violent bully she's always been. She didn't snap that weekend. The veneer just slipped off.

Feels kind of like we're not believing her in this instance to fit in with our own narrative though. Either we believe everything she said or we doubt everything.

I think the first part of your post is true, and I believe what HH said, I don't think LS was obviously abusive to Gannon, she wouldn't want Al to notice or give h a reason to believe wajt the children were saying about her.

The second bit though, even the judge told the jury it's their job to decide if they believe allmof a witness's testimony, some of it or none of it.
This is what I found with HH testimony, some of it flowed well and I had no problem believing it but at other times I felt she wasn't being honest, she would stall, ask what they meant or say she didn't know or didn't remember. I don't think that was to not incriminate herself though, rather it was anything that would blatantly implicate her mother, anything that seemed as though it would prove premeditation in LS actions, Harley stumbled JMO.

Re Chance Hunt and questions over LS involvement in his death. He died in a different state and hadn't seen LS for a long time before his death, there was a huge amount of speculation on social media 3 years ago, we all considered the same thing, but in the end Chance Hunt's family made a statement saying she had nothing to do with his death, she was States away, it was not possible and to please stop with all the speculation and accusations.

Speculation and JMO and recollection as I do not have a link.

I hesitate to say that I agree with you on this. And I think that was a very human thing to do on her part given the circumstances. I feel she was very certain that she wanted to testify to Letecia being sane, almost to her own detriment. But she hesitated when asked to describe things in her own words that would incriminate her mother. She was much more comfortable with yes/no answers.

But again, I feel HH was very brave and she did the right thing yesterday. Her testimony will be very powerful.

At one point, HH asks her if she needs anything. "No, but I may need to go to the store." Doesn't know what LS needed from the store.
RSBM

They never came back to this, but I'm guessing if LS DID go to the store, she bought the vinegar and bleach and stuff she didn't get HH to get but we suspect she obtained at some point for the cleanup. HH wouldn't have been able to testify about it because she wasn't with LS at the time, but there may be some kind of bank record or video surveillance.

She bought a baking soda based cleaner (well, HH bought it for her mom). She also bought talcum powder and baby oil. If you've ever studied ancient embalming (think Medieval times or the Egyptians) or googled it, you'd know that if you want to preserve a dead body the very first step is rubbing it in fat/oil. (Don't feel bad if you didn't know this - most of us have no reason to; I can remember people questioning my study of ancient embalming techniques - but I'm an anthropologist, we study blood spatter and ancient embalming among other things)

Tee lowered the temp in the basement by opening the windows (Step 1). Then she sent HH to the store to buy certain things including a baking soda (alkaline) powder and an oil (baby oil and I think also baby lotion). It's possible Tee thought that if the products were labeled "baby" and she was ever caught, she could just say that she was attending to Gannon properly.

So, she oils him up (and that action may have delayed rigor - she needs to get him into the suitcase before rigor mortis sets in). She's uneducated, so she doesn't know that some of her actions are contradictory.

She gets him into the suitcase and covers him with the baking soda based cleanser (I think I heard that right). But the suitcase itself is designed to be essentially airtight (people have been murdered simply by being put into one - they are almost airtight in a world where almost nothing is airtight).

Each day must have been hell for Tee, who probably realized that eventually, there would be some smell. But, in the end, that was saved for the workers who discovered the body - but did NOT smell anything until they unzipped the case.

I hate recounting all this and hope no criminals are reading.

IMO.
She didn't buy talcum powder.

This link has the list of items.

Also, HH implied on the stand that the lotion, at least, was for herself, so I don't know if the oil and cotton rounds were, too. I think the elastics and double bubble (bubble gum) were for Little sis, but I could be wrong. I can't recall if HH spoke about those items.

Agreed and it makes sense… wonder if defendant googled info? Thank you @10ofRods for informative post as always. Appreciate your knowledgeable response, I learn so much. For the record, 4/17/2023, HH tesified that she picked up the lotion for herself.

Yeah, I didn't articulate myself very well!

I agree with the statement issued by the judge. It's ok to pick and choose what to believe as a jury member, but when you're a member of the public who has lived with a case for years then you're watching the trial with a pre-conceived notion of what you think happened.

I just finished watching today testimony. I'm so proud of HH. This must have been hard for her, to testify in front of her. 10 of rods is correct that we don't see things about our parents until we are out from under their influence. I'm old and still look back at my childhood and realize things now. I think maybe it took HH a little longer, but it's got to break your heart to know your mom's a monster and you unwittingly helped her. Cross examine by defense was a wash, a big fat nothing because they truly have nothing. Just a narcissis. Until today though, I never realized what kicked things off was him having the accident while hiking. Imo.
Agreed. It also tells me HH truthful w/testimony because all along she thinks defendant is innocent until November 2022. So during road trip HH had no clue about Gannon being in the vehicle. IMO

I think most of the mistreatment of Gannon was done when LS and HH were not around. That often happens with threats not to tell anyone or else.

Poor Gannon, he was born into this world at 1.6 pounds, but he was a fighter and survived. It's so sad that he had to run into an evil StepMonster like the defendant.

Wish that the State or Jury would have asked HH if hiking was a normal activity or how often defendant would take the children hiking? Moo

Good question!

As an adult who was raised by a mother with completely unmanaged BPD, I remember knowing she reacted differently than my friends’ moms. I knew what physical abuse was, but “my mom only hit me sometimes” and “she only went further than hitting once”. I knew what emotional abuse was but “my mom lost her temper and said mean things sometimes”. When it’s your whole life, you don’t have the framework or the words to express what you’re experiencing. It’s instinctual not to trust yourself and just assume you’re wrong at all times. You ask your abuser what true reality is in all situations. I moved out at 18 but it took me until age 34 to realize I was abused. Watching her face her mom like this at only 20 years old, I am so damn proud of Harley.

Have we been able to pinpoint why exactly it was November 2022 that Harley finally realized her mother was a deceitful, murderous, lying beotch? Why then?

Because that's when she was given the definition of NGRI.

What "parent" does not say good-night to a child at bedtime, give a child a secure feeling of sort? Why no tucking Gannon in at night or anything? Defendant going down at that time, imo, trying to alibi of sort or justify action? Moo

Harley said she and her mom went downstairs that Sunday night to tell Gannon goodnight. "Not something she'd (Letecia) normally do." They both went down there but Harley didn't go in his room.

I also wish HH would have been asked if it was routine for Gannon to light a candle in his room.
