Ok, I think her checking into the hotel clears it up for me.
I’ve flown more miles than I care to remember and can only recall one place that scanned my checked luggage too, at least where I could see it.
I could see someone as crazy as he’s talking someone into flying the body for her, tossing it there, and if she was smart, would have stayed in Colorado and acted none the wiser.
My theory is blown though, my mistake.
Recalling how Doctors Grimmet and Torres didn't have much time with defense expert Dr. Lewis's DID information before they testified because the Court didn't receive the report from Lewis until 3/31/23, and the Court had to Order Lewis to give Grimmet and Torres copies of all her raw data, notes, etc.
Thank you (I want to insert a term of endearment, but do not know which one you might like).Psst...colorado...not california
That's okay... today when I was trying to transcribe I realised it was time to stop when I couldn't work out if it was prosecution or defense talking to the witness.Thank you (I want to insert a term of endearment, but do not know which one you might like).
I find that as I age, my fingers type C-place names without me internally editing as I once did). I have never gotten used to typing out Connecticut, fortunately. I'm surprised I didn't type Calaveras.
IMO.
I think we all know, Jose...![]()

Defense lawyer Jose Baez, who has no affiliation with the trial of an allegedly murderous stepmom in Colorado, told Law&Crime Network's Angenette Levy he doesn't know why the defendant name-dropped him in a call to her husband.lawandcrime.com
Really good point, as usual. What is your opinion on whether there will be more witnesses called to rebut Dr Lewis? (I know you have to use your crystal ball).
Serious question
What happens if one Juror decided she is not guilty by reason of insanity?
Just competency, the second time around.Recalling the first morning of juror selection and the Court voicing concern about Dr. Lewis's data and report, DA Allen told the Court that the state's mental health experts would be called last and he thought it would work out to get the data to them timely.
I didn't remember hearing Allen mention Dr Grimmet's name but I do recall Doctors Torres and Gray mentioned. I wonder if Dr. Gray is the state's last witness.
I was confident after Dr. Grimmet testified but wasn't impressed with how the prosecution presented Dr. Torres's two evaluations (competency and sanity).
I'll reserve judgment until hearing from the final witness on whether or not the state will have a rebuttal (and who should do it).
And I hope the prosecution redeems itself with Dr. Torres on Friday!
What do you think?
ETA: It's not clear to me if Dr. Grimmet also evaluated LS for sanity or just competency. (??)
I truly don't think we could have got a better judge on this case.I think Judge Werner has been great not only for the prosecution and the defense but also for the jurors. I think he will be passionate about instructing the jurors through any impasse if that should result. And if truly deadlocked, then it will be a mistrial and LS will be retried. MOO

When A Colorado Jury Can’t Reach A Verdict – What Happens Next?

Agree. Instead of "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" LS figured out "how to solve a problem WITH Maria."Let's talk about Maria.
Maria ends up being the most relevant at the time of her offense. Letecia seems more aware of her other personalities, but Maria she can't tell what she's thinking at any given time. Letecia has an awareness of Maria, but Dr. Torres says it all of it seems a bit far-fetched. DID multiple states co-existing is not presented so overtly usually, not like Letecia's personalities she's describing.
I agree absolutely!I truly don't think we could have got a better judge on this case.
MOO
I was sure there was some NPD in there but I didn't see BPD, but I guess some of it could be masked with the NPD. Some pretty opposing thought processes together.Unspecified PD with Narcissistic and Borderline symptoms?
Her behavior is "quite consistent" with Borderline PD and with Narcissistic PD.
According to this expert.
(The not wanting a social worker, instead demanding a more "educated" person is so classic for NPD).
Tupac? Seriously?Gack... vampires, now Tupac.
