I’m predicting that we get a verdict today, which isn’t something I had done coming into today. I assumed that the prosecution would spend some time with a rebuttal witness to Dr Lewis, that both closing statements would take as long as possible and that it would be too late on in the day for the jury to make a decision that would look like it hadn’t been rushed, with them taking into consideration all possibilities before their guilty verdict.

The fact that everything else was wrapped up before lunch time which was then deliberation time suggests to me that we’re going to have a result by the end of the day, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if we got one within the next few hours. If there’s a verdict today there’s no way it’s anything but a guilty verdict. My opinion, TS is done for, and good riddance to her at that.

Tacking onto the thank yous, I'd like to shout out to @imstilla.grandma , who has the biggest heart on Websleuths, and who started this thread for Gannon all those years ago.

Without you, none of us might be here now. You created the thread, and that started this whole thing rolling.

We have all stood witness, following this case and watching this trial, because you planted a seed here on WS and caused us all to fall in love with this little boy and cry out for justice in his name. There's no more valiant warrior here for Gannon than you. <3

Was there a time that the judge said they would end deliberations for the day if they hadn't reached a verdict?

Couldn’t watch the entire trial….did anyone testify in defense of T? Friends, family?
Just Dr. Lewis. Dr. N. She was a defense witness but served the prosecution better.

Listening to JT telling the Jury how grateful he is, I’m reminded that he filed this 6 days into Jury selection:

Jurors asked some great questions during the trial. Wonder how many of those asking questions were released as alternates.

I need to mention @imstilla.grandma too. @imstilla.grandma - you have inspired me so many times. Your own story puts all my own griefs into perspective, and your constant Big Heart and persistence in trying to help us all make sense of the most awful things, is beyond amazing.

I wish we had a Hall of Fame here and could give awards. You would get so many! I know you've had your moments here on WS (as have I) where maybe we get a bit emotional but without you showing me the way, I'd have felt lonely many times on WS.

Peace and love to you, always.

I’m so glad that in the end DA Allen brought it all back to Gannon.

It has bothered me that LS and her antics were keeping me enthralled. It was all about her and what crazy thing was she going to do next.

We all laughed and made jokes about LS. We needed that levity because this ghoul is beyond anything we’ve ever experienced. We couldn’t look away.

But we aren’t here for Leticia. We came together for Gannon. That’s why we’ve been here for so long.

Never will I forget a young boy named Gannon. A hero in every way.

Time to send this witch away forever.

Maybe a couple, but even if they were, those questions got asked and the rest of the pool got to hear the answers. That is invaluable.

Even though we’ve heard the gruesome details before, hearing what she did to that little boy to end his life during closing arguments today just ripped my heart to shreds. Please God comfort the family, and let today be the day Gannon receives justice, amen.

A guilty verdict here will help me to trust juries again after the awful jury in Casey Anthony’s trial.

Yep, I just made myself a herbal tea and I'm trying not to freak out.

Sun is just rising, here. It's beautiful. All pastel gold and pink and blue.

Might go outside for a few minutes and just breathe, even though it's like, 7C out there and soaked with dew.

Oh, Gannon, I hope it was all enough.

I don’t know what to do with myself! I’m a mess. I think the prosecutors did a fantastic job in summary and rebuttal and I hope that Al and Landen know and felt all of us. But I have to have the verdict soon or I feel like I’m gonna puke.
