If a verdict doesn’t come within the next two hours, I’ll eat my hat.

Here's to sweet Gannon and the man he would have become. No doubt kind-hearted, brave, strong, and one of the good ones.

Not cheating, but I need to amend my 39 minutes prediction in light of the fact that the jury are going to eat their lunch as well as deliberating. So I reckon about 90 minutes, which I think should be around 2.40 on Colorado time.
I was thinking the same thing lol

I feel as if many of us are, in some sense, "alternate" jurors.

Love and many thanks to all of you, especially @Seattle1, @arielilane , the tireless @iamshadow21 , @Megnut, @Warwick7 and SO many others. Those of you who joined Websleuths mostly because of this case - you have been a faithful crew and there are so many of you.

I know I've missed some special names (@Love Never Fails - you always lift my spirits; @Smelly Squirrel - just your name helps bring a little levity; @MsMarple - always so perceptive; @Gardenista - another fine and intuitive observer; @kittythehare - you are as quick as your name!)

I know there are lots of people I left out - but all of you have helped me stay up day-to-day with this trial.

It's the first full trial I've followed since the initial missing person's thread until now. I joined for the Mackenzie Lueck case in 2019 and that never went to trial (killer got LWOP). I watched the Murdaugh trial, but no emotional investment as with this one. I wanted to watch Barry Morphew on trial (thwarted).

Thank you.
Was a a helluva journey, wasn't it?

I can never pinpoint what it is I learn from trials here, especially here on WS because it is not of the physical or mental planes.

It is something else, something precious..
We bond without noticing or even trying, even when we're all driving each other nuts...and skin and hair is hissing and flying in undertones and overtones...

VICTIM FRIENDLY
and
VICTIMS FIRST.

Thank you @Tricia , @Sillybilly , @MadMcGoo @JerseyGirl and all mods for creating this special framework and sorry for all the grief we give you all.

I was hoping Gannon was so drugged he didn’t realize what was happening….his defensive wounds shattered that thought. OMG

I joined WS many many many years ago and followed this case and many others as a lurker from the start, I had never commented on this forum until a couple weeks ago though when my feelings on this case just got too much. I watched you all from the shadows and adore you all here in the light <3

I'm betting no later than 4pm CO time, I feel nauseous waiting

I am holding LH, Al and little sis particularly close to my heart right now
I'm pleased that Landen and little Sis did not have to testify.

Yup. That little boy knew. By day’s end, his evil murderer will hopefully be convicted. Enjoy living every day, knowing that you’ll never taste freedom again Letecia.

Edit to spell people's names properly!
I appreciate how you're level-headed and the voice of reason. You are a wealth of knowledge. Many thanks.

That’s the most sickening part of all….the defensive wounds that told of his fight to breathe.

[…]

“It’s not psychotic, it’s strategic,” Young said.

Prosecutors never developed a motive despite the “biggest investigation in the history of El Paso County” because there wasn’t one, Stauch’s defense attorney said.

“They cannot come up with a motive because there is no motive that makes sense,” Tolini said. “This was a psychotic break.”

In a rebuttal to Tolini’s closing arguments, Fourth Judicial District Attorney Michael Allen said Stauch killed Gannon simply because she hated him. She was looking to leave her marriage and had previously searched online about hating her stepson, he said.

“Does the brutality itself prove psychosis?” Allen asked. “The brutality speaks to the abject hatred she had for Gannon and the pure determination she had to kill Gannon.”

Sounds like a trip to the stairwell may be in order? ;)

Tacking onto the thank yous, I'd like to shout out to @imstilla.grandma , who has the biggest heart on Websleuths, and who started this thread for Gannon all those years ago.

Without you, none of us might be here now. You created the thread, and that started this whole thing rolling.

We have all stood witness, following this case and watching this trial, because you planted a seed here on WS and caused us all to fall in love with this little boy and cry out for justice in his name. There's no more valiant warrior here for Gannon than you. <3

MOO
Yes, she introduced us to Gannon.

That will be very haunting for a very long time.
