The group you’re referring to is the “Cluster B” personality disorders group.
Sometimes people with PDs can/do have other PDs and that includes other clusters as well (Cluster A, B & C).

And I agree with you.
I researched Cluster B extensively when my ex was diagnosed. The only successful treatment is therapy (medications can supplement this). For the therapy to work, the person has to be 100% committed and it is generally a lifelong commitment to prevent relapse. Success rates are incredibly low.

LS appeared to be desperate for AS's attention and previously pulled stunts to try and get it (fabricated break in, etc.). It is not unreasonable to think she did something to Gannon as a way to get Al's attention and it got out of hand. Or even worse, she planned it and believed she would get away with it. Gannon would be "missing" and she and Al would be on the news as the grieving parents, etc. Attention and Al would turn to her...win win. Things did not go as planned when Al was immediately suspicious and didn't believe her.

I know that short deliberations make for a positive outcome generally speaking. Is it a bad sign if the jury’s deliberation is longer?

At this point I don’t see it as a long deliberation. JMO
They were given the case at 1:00 p.m, and they went home at 5:00 p.m.
The Judge had told them in the morning that lunch would be brought in for them and they would not be leaving the building for lunch.
To me that doesn’t necessarily mean they worked through their lunch.
It could have been an hour lunch break.
Judge said there is so much evidence ( over 700 exhibits) that it takes 20 minutes to move from courtroom to jury room.

Plus, this isn’t a typical guilty/not guilty verdict they have to render.

They must also vote on the question of did the State disprove the claim of insanity as a defense.

I think the Jurors are being careful and responsible to go over the instructions and forms to make sure before they tell the Court they’re done.
That’s just the way I’m choosing to look at it right now.
By Noon on Monday I’ll probably be getting nervous though.

The M’Naghten Rule, established in England in the mid-19th century, focuses on the perpetrator’s knowledge of right and wrong. The Irresistible Impulse Test, as the name implies, focuses on whether a perpetrator is able to control his impulse to commit a crime, regardless of whether he knew it was wrong or not.

Thus in Colorado, a criminal like Holmes seeking a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity must fit one of two criteria:

1. Be “so diseased or defective in mind at the time of the commission of the act as to be incapable of distinguishing right from wrong with respect to that act,” or

2. Suffer “from a condition of mind caused by mental disease or defect that prevented the person from forming a culpable mental state that is an essential element of a crime charged.”

These criteria have been used since 1995. Both exclude “moral obliquity, mental depravity, or passion growing out of anger, revenge, hatred, or other motives and kindred evil conditions.”

Yes, that's one way of referring to it.

However, personally I think T. has symptoms of yet another PD - outside of Cluster B.

Cluster B is one label for this cluster of symptoms; IMO, "Dark Triad" is also gaining in the academic literature; and "psychopathy" also overlaps/is proposed as a term for this "cluster" in some research.

IMO.

Hi @UnapologeticallyAspie, I've heard same that a short deliberation results in a positive outcome. However, regarding this case jurors were sent to deliberate just after 1:00 pm MT last Friday. So that is under 4 hours and not considered long. I hope for guilty verdict by 1:00 pm MT on Monday!

Additionally, this being a more complex crime with a lot of factors I'd expect that it will take time to sort it out. IMO

Justice for Gannon!

So we know she has a personality disorder, if they find her NGRI, they cant treat that in the hospital. They cant treat DID in a hospital either. So whats the point? imo

Will she be able to get out when shes "stable"?
Yes, as strange as this sounds.
However, I see a guilty verdict coming for her.

1683439265252.png Interesting subject, @10ofRods. Thanks for bringing it up in regards to Letecia. I'd like to learn more and understand it more fully. It does seem Letecia has shown these malevolent qualities within her. I'm thinking she has Borderline but also comorbidities. According to Wikipedia:
  1. Narcissism is characterized by grandiosity, pride, egotism, and a lack of empathy.[10]
  2. Machiavellianism is characterized by manipulation and exploitation of others, an absence of morality, lack of emotion, and a higher level of self-interest.[11]
  3. Psychopathy is characterized by continuous antisocial behavior, impulsivity, selfishness, callous and unemotional traits (CU),[12] and remorselessness.[13]
This article is an interesting read, as well.

Prayers for the Jurors to get some relaxation and rest to make important decisions come Monday.

Just curious, which non-cluster B PD do you suspect she could have?

IMO, she possibly has some traits of OCPD.

All MOO. I am very dependent on visuals in my learning process and memorization. This chart helps me when talking about clusters and which ones Letecia seems to exhibit.

The Prosecution's Psychologists seem to pin point Letecia as having Borderline with Narcissistic features, but it seems like so much more. Whatever it is, I agree, it's woven deep within her personality. JMO though.

I do love your visuals.
I have come to depend upon them.
Thank you for the time you put into them.
I have no such skills.

Think we could create a new syndrome and name it Cluster of Leticia, just slip in all the deadly sins in every religion including athiesm, agnosticism, all the Pagan religions, every dark occult group etc etc and we can call it a comprehensive analysis..?

See, I'm even thinking like Michael Allen these days?

Really, I would never ever have the wherewithal to present a case in such thoroughness with no stone left unturned if I was doing it for even 100 years. Takes a special kind of perseverance.

Justice for Gannon is coming soon!
This sweet boy. I can not imagine hurting him. How could anyone want to do anything except love him and keep him safe?

I try not to, but sometimes I can't help but imagine one of my own children in his place. My youngest will be 11 this summer. To think of that little frightened voice trying to advocate for himself, "I'm just worried about my burns" and the total disregard shown to him... It just twists my gut into a knot. And then to think it only got WORSE from then on. Oh dear god. My heart breaks for Landon knowing that these things were done to her baby. I don't know how she has endured it and I don't know how she's going to continue enduring it, but I pray she's given the strength each day to do so. And I hope the jury comes back with a guilty verdict so she knows that everyone else also understands that LS is a monster and that Gannon deserves nothing less than absolute justice. Praying it gives her some small measure of satisfaction so she can put LS out of her mind and focus on her own life and remembering Gannon as the sweet innocent boy he was.

So heartwarming...needing my tissues though cos this made me cry. Gannon was a total sweetheart. Nothing can bring him back or reverse what he suffered... and how badly that must continue to hurt all those who loved him dearly.

No doubt in my mind or heart at all on the verdict, there will be justice on Monday. His soul is playing with the angels.

Noone mentioned it, but I believe she is Histrionic imo. The fake twins, the burglaries. Even all the stories she made up about Gannon.

She is very dramatic. She really is a true blue Cluster b IMOO.
