Lunch is brought in for the jury and I anticipate that lunch will be around noon. Time now is 11:11 am MT.

Correct me if Im wrong, but doesnt Colorado have a 100% conviction rate for jurors? Meaning all of them have to have the same vote?
Yes, the vote must be unanimous, and why we often hear that "it only takes one juror" to dissent -- and cause a mistrial.

Removing all emotion from this trial - was there any weak point in the state's case that the jury could agonize over?

I love all that work you do . I often look over it to remind me of details about different cases. . Thank you ! The articles get edited or deleted and tossed behind paywalls. The photo history you save is amazing!

To be frank, I would have needed a weekend to recover from Dr Lewis on the stand for two days, too.

I think they talked openly and free-form about the case for a few hours over lunch, and went into the weekend with the resolution to get down to business when they'd all had a chance to reset and recover and be able to give it their full attention. Smart.

MOO
I like this. The more I think about it, the more I find this to be the most realistic theory. I imagine they had a lot of just decompressing via conversation to do. This was a long and difficult, and sometimes bizarre, trial.

I thought for sure the jury in Murdaugh’s case would take forever to agree on a guilty verdict, or if they even would, and it took them like 2 hours. He’s definitely guilty but the evidence was not terribly strong.
I also thought for sure this jury would take whatever the least amount of time is including paperwork. Her intent and lack of psychopathy is so obvious. I guess you never really know!

Love seeing all of the support for Gannon outside of the courthouse.
Me, too!

Just noticed in this screenshot I took at 9:01 that the neighbor NM who helped in the searches and later created a fake FB profile to interact with LS is in the Courtroom. Blonde lady couple of rows behind Defense table and Media.

She testified that LS asked her to lie and offered to pay her in exchange. She worked with the FBI and documented the evidence.

I really think the Jury is just being responsible. We are in a watched pot never boils situation here! I bet the time for the Jury is going a lot quicker and they simply want to make sure they fulfil their duties carefully and get all the paper work right. Could have simply wanted Dr Lewis' report to confirm their notes and impressions that her testimony was not credible. MOO

ETA: No weak point at all. Not in my opinion. The State did a fine job in showing that she had to have been sane, a fine job showing that she could not in any way shape or form have had DID or been in an insane state. They have to have seen how rationally and sanely self serving her behaviour was, both before and after she murdered that sweet little boy. IMO.

Someone spoke on RA and stated being present during trial often and that the jury possibly was not able to see Letecia because of where she was (between defense attorneys) sitting. Also, that no one was there to support Letecia. moo

Can the jury convict her of lesser charges - i.e. 2nd degree murder instead of 1st degree? If so, maybe that’s what the hold up is?

Support for #GannonStauch outside the courtroom continues to grow. Kristie Radke, a Colorado Springs resident, is handing out blue ribbons saying “Hope.” Another gentleman is handing out stickers in Gannon’s remembrance. The jury is still deliberating.

I'm still wishing there had been more distinction made between her mental state during Dr Lewis's interviews as opposed to that at the time Gannon died. I can see one or two juror out of 12 being convinced by her nutty behavior during those interviews and thinking, "oh yeah, she's totally bonkers" ... but I wish that that point in time had been more clearly pointed out to *not* have been the same point at which her mental state was relevant. I think the judge and the two lawyers discussed this in the absence of the jurors, but I don't recall the distinction ever being crisply pointed out to the jury in their presence (although maybe i missed that bit). Also I wish that Dr Lewis had even once been characterised as just the last in a long, *long* line of people to have been suckered and manipulated by the defendant. Again, perhaps this too did happen and I missed it. Way too much footage to watch ...

I don't think the jury time has been long. The first thing they did was to have lunch that was brought in to them.
Then talk a bit and select a foreperson. Then a little bit of deliberation on Friday.
It just seems like eternity for us.

John H JR. served 41 years + after his attempt to kill President Ford. He was also found NGRI.

Regarding Mr. Hinckley, who was found NGRI, he is now considered recovered.

For a refresher in 1981, Hinckley attempted to assassinate the president. He was found not guilty of attempted murder by reason of insanity. Hinckley then spent 30 years in a psychiatric facility. He was released under restrictions in 2016 and has been living in Virginia since then. On Jun15th 2022 he was unconditionally released and tweeted “After 41 years 2 months and 15 days, FREEDOM AT LAST!!!” Hinckley tweeted Wednesday afternoon.

My guess is most are clueless about this development, he has a YouTube channel with 29,000 subscribers. He has made quite a bit of news here in Virginia for years. Recently had a sold-out concert that ended up cancelled. If Hinckley has his fans, 29000 (?) Surely Letecia could. It is only a matter of time. Wouldn’t Letecia love that…. UGH.

Attempting to juggle some gardening, this forum and RA's live feed all at once.

Giving myself 30 minute breaks just in case we get word!
