Is Mr. Brauchler trying to switch it up for the jury or something??

Why not have this witness do her diagram before court?

Why have her standing at the model doing all of this testimony?

Weird!

The defence are objecting that using the diagram and the model are cumulative. So I think they might be using the model instead as it's more visual?

Mr. Brauchler handed her a blank diagram and had her mark where she was on the diagram and sign it - while she was on the stand. Every other person has done this before court.

True. But they still had her do the diagram while she was on the stand. Just weird - in that everyone else had done it before.

@larryryckman: Shuler and friends ducked behind the seats when #theatershooting began. People screaming. She didn't understand what was happening

@larryryckman: Then she started to get scared.Thought it was knockout gas & she didn't want to pass out. She breathed through her shirt.

@larryryckman: Shuler: "I was making sure my body as much as I could was covered by the seat I was ducking behind."

@larryryckman: Shuler ducked for maybe a minute or 2. When gunfire stopped, she jumped over the seats and ran with others.

@larryryckman: Shuler: There were bodies on the ground and on the stairs. It was chaos.

@larryryckman: Shuler did not know whose body she stepped over at one point. It was a fight-or-flight situation, she said.

Ah I see what you meant. Maybe she didn't have a chance to do one. I think one other witness has to do this but I can't remember who.

@larryryckman: Shuler realized she had blood on her shoulder when she was in the parking lot. She had shrapnel in shoulder.

The defence are objecting to a photo of this victims injuries.

Objection is overruled. Picture is admitted into evidence. Now defence objecting to the witness discussing the shrapnel working its way out of her body and when that happened.

"Maples testified that he saw the orange-haired man twice at the Byers Canyon range about a 2½-hour drive from Denver. Maples said he thought the man showed up in June of 2012 but he couldn't remember the date." #TheaterShooting trial witness: Guy w/ "strange orange hair" used pistol & rifle ranges at Byers Canyon Range. <<<< NEED TO REVIEW DAY 5 MAY 4TH TO HEAR THE PERSON WHO WAS AT BYERS CANYON, AND THE FOLLOWING POLICEMAN Rotkovich says Holmes was never member of Lead Valley Range before #theatershooting. Says he called Holmes 3 times. Calls were not returned.
CENTENNIAL*| A man with fiery orange hair was such an odd sight when he showed up at a gun range in the summer of 2012 that two volunteer supervisors went to talk to him, one of the volunteers testified Monday at the trial of Colorado theater gunman James Holmes. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
http://www.aurorasentinel.com/news/...ate-testimony-focusing-phone-call/“That really flagged us,” said Theodore Maples Jr., who volunteered at the state-owned Byers Canyon Rifle Range. Judge Carlos A. Samour Jr. didn’t allow Maples to recount the conversation after the defense objected to a prosecution question about what was said. Maples didn’t say who the man was, but the reddish-orange hair and weapons he fired matched descriptions of Holmes and his arsenal. Maples testified that he saw the orange-haired man twice at the Byers Canyon range about a 2 1/2-hour drive from Denver. Maples said he thought the man showed up in June of 2012 but he couldn’t remember the date.Maples said he listened as his wife, who also volunteered at the gun range, spoke to the man. The man had a shotgun and a rifle that looked like an AR-15, Maples said. The man also used the facility’s pistol range, though Maples didn’t describe the weapon used there. The man’s hair was the only thing memorable about him, and “it really stood out,” Maples said. “If he hadn’t had that hair, he would have been like anyone else,” he said.
