?

I’m not seeing any correlation? How could this be connected?
The Longmont PD exhumed a body related to a Longmont crime. The body exhumed was buried within a few days of Rita going missing. I am betting there is evidence someone placed in with the exhumed body...or a suspicion there is evidence in with that body. I could be off base, but it sounds potentially reasonable.

There is a person currently working at the Speakeasy that claims it was supposed to be her..I don't know if delusional or whatnot but she goes by B.A. I'm considering turning the info over to police.

Did you Report this??!!!!

Iirc her brother Omar was searching in Weld County.

Also, Weld County is the LE assigned to Nicole Silver’s case, iirc.

My heart is racing. There’s a DARN good chance this is Rita or Nicole, moo.

Gosh I hope this is Rita so her family can bring her home!!!

Longmont police continue to offer reward for missing woman – Longmont Times-Call

For more than a year, police have continued to search for Rita Gutierrez-Garcia, a missing Longmont woman and mother of three.

While several leads have developed, Longmont police Cmdr. Joel Post said the investigation has not “progressed far enough” to formally charge anyone in Gutierrez-Garcia’s disappearance and presumed death.
[.....]
Gutierrez-Garcia disappeared after celebrating St. Patrick’s Day last year with family and friends. She was last seen walking to the parking lot behind 3’s Bar in downtown Longmont. Between 2:15 and 3:15 a.m. she told friends that she was getting a ride home – which was the final message anyone heard from her.

In May 2018, police announced that Gutierrez-Garcia, 34 at the time she disappeared, was presumed dead.
[.....]
Authorities named Juan Figueroa Jr. as a person of interest in Gutierrez-Garcia’s case in July 2018. He is the last person Gutierrez-Garcia was seen speaking with before her disappearance, according to prior Longmont Times-Call reports. Post confirmed Wednesday that police had found some evidence in Figueroa’s truck that suggested she may have been in the vehicle.

In May, Figueroa was convicted for attempted murder and sex assault and sentenced to 93-years-to-life prison for a separate case that occurred in November 2017.

At this time, Post said, Figueroa is the only person of interest identified in the case. However, Figueroa has yet to face any formal charges in Gutierrez-Garcia’s disappearance and presumed death.

I just thought of an idea, small chance but...

I’m recalling a case I saw a long time ago on Forensic Files. It was a “Forensic Botanist” who ended up solving the case and finding the victim who had been discarded in the Colorado mountains. Iirc she was part of a recovery organization....

In that case, iirc LE had collected evidence from the perp which was certain leaves/plants/ foliage ...I can’t recall if it was from his vehicle or shoes, etc but the point is this:

The specific type of plant that they found (iirc related to a kind of Aspen) requires a lot of direct sunlight, or soooomething like that. So the Forensic Botanist was able to determine which side of Canyon got the direct sunlight needed for this type of tree to grow; then they were able to narrow it down to a certain area where the sun actually shined on that mountain and ended up finding the victim’s remains. A skull iirc.

I wonder if any botanical material, etc was found on JF’s shoes, vehicle, etc and if this couldpissibly help shed some light on where he disposed of her up around the mountains. Is there any similar evidence like this I wonder and if so has a forensic botanist examined it. I wish I could remember the group...maybe it was Necrosearch?

Just got this in my google alert for this case. Now for the past few days I've been getting alerts for cases that have been going on already - and it turns out the article is very old but it have a current date on the top of the article - so don't know IF this one is an oldie - or is this going on now?
I have in my notes that he was sentenced to 93 years to life. Here's what my notes say:

Figueroa was convicted (5/29/18) of sexual assault involving submission against will with serious bodily injury, sexual assault on a physically helpless victim with serious bodily injury, sexual assault involving submission against will with force and threats, sexual assault on a physically helpless victim, attempted second-degree murder, & two counts of first-degree assault in 11/25/17. Sentenced to 93 years to life in prison.

In July of 2018, police identified 29-year-old Juan Jose Figueroa Jr. as a suspect in Rita’s disappearance as a result of testing from evidence submitted to forensic laboratories. Investigators say they believe Figueroa was the last person to see Rita, but do not think the two had a close personal relationship.

On March 22, 2019, Figueroa was convicted of sexual assault, felony assault and attempted murder in an unrelated 2017 sexual assault case. In May, he was sentenced to 93 years in prison. He has not been charged in Rita’s disappearance. Since Rita disappeared, police have deployed drones, helicopters, cadaver dogs, and search teams to try and find the missing mother of three.

Authorities tell Dateline the case is very active and while Rita is technically listed as a missing person, this case is being investigated as a homicide and she is presumed dead. The Longmont Police Department is offering $10,000 for information leading to the recovery of Rita’s remains and an additional $10,000 for any information which leads to an arrest.

Rita Gutierrez-Garcia, who was 34 years old at the time she disappeared, was last seen in the early morning hours of March 18, 2018, while out with friends in Longmont, Colorado. Shortly after Rita’s disappearance, her younger sister Jessica Romero-Reyes told Dateline she knew her sister was going out that night to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, and planned to see her the next afternoon at their younger sister Nicole’s baby shower. Rita never showed up at the baby shower. No one has seen or heard from her since. In July of 2018, police identified 29-year-old Juan Jose Figueroa Jr. as a suspect in Rita’s disappearance as a result of testing from evidence submitted to forensic laboratories. Three years since her disappearance, family, police, community continue search for Longmont woman – Longmont Times-Call

March 17, 2021
The search hasn’t stopped.

As the third year since Rita Gutierrez-Garcia disappearance is marked Thursday, her family, police and community want people to remember that her case is still active. Efforts to find out what happened to the 34-year-old mother of three, who is presumed dead, continue.

“Sometimes we will go someplace and search,” said Diane Romero, Gutierrez-Garcia’s mom. “If you know anything, hear anything, see anything — people who are hiking, fishing, hunting, people with ranches or farms — if they could just be on the lookout. If they see something, don’t hesitate to call police.”
[.....]
Police have identified Juan Figueroa Jr. as a suspect in her disappearance. Clark said Figueroa is still considered to be the sole suspect, though, he said, that may change if other information becomes available.

Longmont police first named Figueroa as a suspect in Gutierrez-Garcia’s case in July 2018. Figueroa hasn’t been charged in her disappearance, Cage said in a phone interview Wednesday. He said he couldn’t yet answer why Figueroa remains a suspect, but hasn’t been charged.
[.....]
In a separate case, Figueroa was accused of raping and strangling a woman he met at a bar downtown in 2017. A jury convicted Figueroa in 2019 of sexual assault, felony assault and attempted murder. He was sentenced to 93 years to life in prison.

Rita covered by 9News as well. Thought I post, but has identical information to Niner's Longmont-Times-Call article.

It's been 3 years since Rita Gutierrez-Garcia went missing
...
Longmont Police think she is no longer alive, but her body has not been found. Investigators said they had made substantial progress in the case that they hope to share with the public soon and are still urging anyone with information to come forward.
...
The man identified as the suspect in her disappearance, Juan Jose Figueroa, was sentenced in May 2019 to 93 years in prison on numerous counts in a separate, unrelated sexual assault case. Investigators have physical evidence that Gutierrez-Garcia was in Figueroa’s white Chevy two-door pickup truck at one point.
...
Figueroa remains the only suspect in the disappearance at this time, police said.
...
Longmont Police Services have said they think Gutierrez-Garcia’s body is in a remote area near the Peak to Peak Highway, Rabbit Mountain, or anywhere from Rollins Pass to Jamestown.

Juan Figueroa to make first Boulder County appearance in Rita Gutierrez-Garcia case – Longmont Times-Call

June 11, 2021

Juan Jose Figueroa Jr., who is accused of kidnapping and murdering a Longmont woman three years ago, will make his first appearance in Boulder County on the case later this month.

Figueroa, 32, was indicted by a grand jury on counts of first-degree murder after deliberation, felony murder and second-degree kidnapping in the disappearance and presumed death of Rita Guterriez-Garcia.

Felony murder can be charged when a person dies during the commission of a felony, in this case the kidnapping charge.
[.....]
Figueroa is already in prison for at least 93 years following a conviction in a separate sex assault case, but prosecutors said he will be making his first appearance in Boulder County on the Gutierrez-Garcia case on June 23.
