I think they did not know he killed his wife and disposed of his kids when they let him stay . I think they were in shock as well and disbelief he was a great dad and husband and zero indication of this happening . They only knew positive things about both of them

You are correct, but it didn't take long for them to suspect CW new more than he was telling. (The moment he left, they contacted LE)!

If the autopsy results are released I would think it would give us a better idea if C.W. is telling the truth or not. Why would the prosecution file a motion to seal them?

I posted this you tube video last night with CW doing an interview the day after the family was reported missing but before they were determined to be deceased and CW being arrested. I deleted the video last night as I was not certain it is TOS permitted. I am re-posting the video because I think it is very important to the case and especially since I have never seen the video before and I don't recall it ever being posted on WS. I am sure the mods will advise if not permitted.

There are way too many points to list regarding this particular video and I am hoping and certain that others will post their thoughts and observations.

There are several phrases and words CW uses that were also used in other interviews but this is not the same interview as those ones.

I stumbled on the video when it was reported that in the video, CW's right upper cheek looks swollen and red versus his left cheek.

I am not a psychologist nor professional to gage a diagnosis but to me his actions do not further indict him as killing his girls .

Ok. But think about it this way. He had , according to him, just witnessed his wife, strangling to death his two baby girls. It was so shocking and devastating, that he threw himself upon his pregnant wife and strangled her, killing her and his unborn son, Nico.

The next day, he was on the porch, giving that upbeat interview. Does he seem like a broken man, grieving and in shock, over seeing his babies being murdered by his wife?

And that's why it's a slippery slope for news agencies to report what "sources close to the investigation" say, instead of naming the investigator who said it. It's not always bad practice, but it's never the best practice.

How about this scenario for the leaks/sources?
John Doe winds up in the Weld County Jail. For whatever reasons, he may have to spend hours or an overnighter. While he is there he sees CW lying on his bed or doing nothing. Who knows, he could have said "Hey, buddy, what you in for?" Then he realizes the next day that he just saw CW in jail. He could be the leaker/source, IMOO.

Without the motion, the report would automatically be released per Colorado open records law.

Ok first I assume he would been in shock . He did admit to killing his wife and disposing of the bodies . He kept saying words about how “unreal” this seemed. The phone had to be blowing up with family , friends , relatives etc contacting him. Secondly The Thayers also were shocked during their interview and nervously had a couple laughing moments . IMO the surreal knowing of where they were and killing his wife would be enough for that reaction . And doesn’t imply he necessarily killed the children . Just my opinion

And my opinion is he killed them all and the only reason he admitted to killing his wife was that her body was discovered in a shallow grave along with a bedsheet from their bed on property that was owned by his employer. MOO. There was no one to blame except her. I can't imagine her turning "helter skelter" into a psychotic maniac and strangling her own babies at the thought of a separation which she already knew about, JMO. (or for that matter, even if she didn't know about it).

One thing this prosecution team does not want, is a jury like they had in the Casey Anthony trial. So many people believed she was GUILTY already, they were forced to only accept people who NEVER EVER read news papers or watch the tv news. Doing so extensively limits the jury pool. You end up with jurors who do not know how to connect the dots--- Jurors who are uninterested in the community, or perhaps ambivalent, in general.

I don't think the state wants to taint the jury pool at this time. JMO

Thanks for posting. When I watch it knowing he is the killer it makes sense in a horrible kind of way. (paraphrasing here):
He says how empty the house is,
He can't believe what has happened over the last few days etc.
Her family is devastated at her going missing.

He seems distraught and sick with worry -- for HIMSELF!!!! I I I I. ME ME ME.

Adding: his cheek does look a bit pink but I thought it was sunburn, not from being attacked. In fact, he has skin that I'd love because its so smooth and flawless. Maybe CW takes trips to Sephora himself, so he can buy high quality skincare! I recall the AP guy TB mentioned how CW bought him high end skincare from Sephora! (sooo romantic)

Thank you for this! I feel like it is a little extra than what I’ve seen. Every time I see his interviews I just can’t get over all the lies when he knew exactly where they were and never coming back.

Right, I get that. I think it’s unusual and it raises suspicion as to why they wouldn’t want it released. Could it be that the the results might actually be evidence that CW is telling the truth? I’m not saying it does I’m just considering it.

The Thayers didn't know they were all dead. He did. He smiled and laughed as he looked the world in the eye and calmly lied and lied and lied. Didn't look at all like shock. Knowing where his precious family lay, he showed not a single sign of grief or despair. Didn't shed a single tear. He continued to lie to police during questioning until he was presented with clear, undeniable evidence. Exactly. Imagine for a second that he was telling the truth, that things happened the way he claims they did. Does the porch interview make any more sense?

For me it doesn’t. If he had a dozen Botox injections in his face, and was reading from a script, he couldn’t have showed less emotion.

It’s bizarre either way.

Not to mention the perception of a tainted jury pool will bring the possibility of a change of venue, which is also a mess they probably don't want. It's possible the defense will ask for that regardless but I suspect they would rather avoid it.

I did see emotion, though - I saw fear and doubt because things got very serious as NUA reported SW missing earlier than he expected, and that put a spanner in CW's nasty little plan. He thought he was going to get away with it by pretending to be a grieving hubs and daddy, but he is ONLY grieving for himself and his pretty butt in prison.

The state is not blocking the release of it for trial purposes. All of that information will be there. If it appears to favor the defendant in any way, we will see then.

I would think that if the autopsy proves CW did not kill the girls, they would amend the charges against him. No matter what the court decides about releasing it to the public, the autopsy report cannot be kept from the defense.

I doubt it. He’s in isolation and his ability to interact with other inmates is either limited or non existent. I think a jail guard is most likely the leaker.
