Great point PommyMommy but wouldn't LE have seen it when they did their investigation on site? Wouldn't they have done a grid search of the areas that they were found at?
I am not sure where the bag was retrieved from but could it have been in the tanks or grave?
It could have just been laying out there, like that bedsheet.

They did see it and they collected it. The motion doesn't specify where exactly the bag was found other than, "collected at the scene where the victim’s bodies were located."

Well we know that the crime lab is reviewing quite a bit of physical evidence, so they need his DNA for that at the very least.
Saliva can be tested for alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, and methamphetamines.

So can blood and urine.

Could something have come up in the autopsies that needs further testing of CW dna?

When I saw the prosecution ask to seal the autopsy reports I thought they found evidence of SA, which would obviously be highly prejudicial and explosive in terms of controlling the media coverage of the case.

Thanks PommyMommy, I was thinking the bag was just located recently. It makes better sense now but curious as to why it was brought up at this juncture in the investigation and not early on. Very interesting timing.

Premeditation can be seconds or minutes too... so maybe not too much deliberation (thinking).
Even if the first wasn't, the 2nd and 3rd ones had to have been.

Actually, one thing you can depend on in Northern Colorado is the wind. This very well may be a random bag blown on to the scene, and nothing to do with any of the Watts! (Did anybody see video with the rubbish cans blown about their residential street).

Well this is awful to type. If the assumption is that one of the girls was inside the bag, they probably have been able/will be able to tie it in via DNA without much trouble.

Did they request a cheek swab for the dna sample? or is there something else they are requesting as well to obtain his dna?

Or it may have been retrieved from the pick up truck. We really don't know where the bag was located do we...

Is it possible the camera across the street captured lights in different rooms going on and off upstairs and downstairs during the middle of the night? That could tell a story.

Very smart idea!

It was Frederick Police Department Item #26. Who knows what items 1-25 are and how many pieces of evidence follow #26. Still a lot we don't know, as they are still actively investigating.

nn
And this is awful to type too, but there were probably bodily fluid leaking out of their bodies after death which would have been inside that bag.
Anyone who has ever laid out a body knows this.

Yes, a buccal swab was one of the tests requested along with finger and palm prints. (The bare footprint request just came out today).

Just a cheek swab.

Sorry, what is SA?

I wonder if NU noticed if any or all the lights were on or off in the home when SW got arrived that morning.
