The fact that he backed into his garage means liftle to me. Men are the ones usually backing into spaces. If you see a parking space and a vehicle has backed in, check and see. Most of the time it will be a man.

Hahaha. My husband says the reverse about women. When he taught our daughter to drive, he always made her reverse into the parking spot. He taught her well.

i have to ask this question: why was she gone 5 weeks from her husband? would you want to be away from your husband for 5 weeks?

When i was in the FB group someone posted the last known pic of Shanann while she was in AZ, a few hours before she headed home. She wasnt wearing her Apple watch or a Fitbit.
Great observation. I guess that pretty much eliminates the hope that her watch could provide valuable evidence.

I did read somewhere there was a bunch of hair in the toolbox

I read somewhere it was in the trunk. I wish we had more facts to work with.

Did I mentioned anywhere on my post that I'm implying it is the AP? Nope. I just reread my post. So, what is your question?
For the record, all speculations are mostly baseless; that's why they are called speculations/theories/opinions/theoretical scenarios; some speculations are based on proven facts and theoretical elements. My theory includes an accomplice.

Id be hard pressed to find a case of domestic abuse or FA that included an outside accomplice, even with disposal/concealment. What are the chances CW was close enough to or even knew anyone who would involve themselves in such a despicable task or who could be trusted not to squeal? Slim to none im guessing. Most of the people CW n SW knew were mutual friends or co-workers(THRIVE). I find it hard to believe he knew anyone who would go out in the early morning hours to help him dispose of his wife or children. If anything, some family member would be a possibility, but i dont believe he had any in CO. MOO

Agreed. He seems to have been a guy with few close friends, and I imagine that the friends he did have, he interacted with on a superficial level.

We’ve heard from people who knew Shanann, but where the hell are the people who knew him?

I know the circumstances are different, with CW being a suspect and SW being a victim, but you’d expect someone to come forward and offer something, even if it isn’t a defense. Just crickets.

I just found something tucked away in my voluminous notes: There was some discussion about how much housework SW did/didn't do.

In an Aug. 8 Facebook post, Shanann described how busy her day had been after returning from a "six-week" trip with her family.

"Two loads of laundry, dusted the whole house, cleaned the refrigerator and pantry, went grocery shopping to two stores with the kids, took Celeste to a doctor's appointment, emptied seven suitcases and three backpacks, fed kids a 'million' times, showered, went through six weeks of mail, washed the kitchen floor, cleaned up a kids' disaster and repacked my suitcase for Arizona this Friday," she wrote on Facebook. "All while four months preggo!"

She was no lazybones.
BBM. Bad woman. Took her child to a medical appointment. Must mean that she is mentally ill.

They "say" the apple watch series 3 is ok to swim in shallow water and to take showers with, but to avoid shampoos, lotions, etc.,

I posted this before but i saw the (alleged) last photo taken of Shanann in AZ a few hours before she headed home...She wasnt wearing her watch or Fitbit

Depends on the husband. I wish that she had stayed away forever. Do you think that being away from her husband for five weeks led to this?
It seems that he was pretty busy in those five weeks and in the months before she left him alone for five weeks.

@Amandaaa - do you think they'll need to be more specific for the motion to seal the autopsies to be granted?
Yes, I do. It’s a fairly high burden if they want to seal an otherwise public document so they’re going to have to explain further if they want even a remote chance of succeeding. Not sure if that will be done in writing or if the judge hears the arguments, or if we will even be privy to it. But again, this one interests me for sure!

it just makes me wonder if something was wrong in their marriage that she would be away from him that long; was she also away from her children for that time period?

No. Her children were with her for that five weeks.

Question for any Attorney’s out there (or anyone) ..
if the DA asked for footprints of C.W. based on evidence #26 taken from where the bodies were discovered, and CW denies giving those footprints.... could that lead a jury to question why the DA wanted the footprints & cause reasonable doubt? Since C.W. confessed to killing SW, lived in the home, drove the truck, worked in the oil fields (although we don’t know if that particular one, CERVI 319. ) and on and on where his bare feet may have been. Scares me they are asking for these ....I’m not saying an accomplice, I’m worried more about creating reasonable doubt.

Not a legal opinion, but an educated guess - I think the bag and footprint are relating the murders to the disposal site. In addition, unless the bag was used as a weapon, then it is, imo, not related to the murder itself, and therefore will not cause 'reasonable doubt'

Also the state will already have the victims' prints from the autopsy. I imagine they were ruled out already.
but would they have undertaken palm and footprints?

IMO, it appears that the defense is operating under the misguided idea that their client is innocent and that he should not provide anything that would help the prosecution.
If I recall correctly, the defence was still awaiting discovery from the prosection. Therefore, at the moment (or until discovery is received) the defense only has the charges and any information given to them by CW. To all extents and purposes, until they receive discovery, they do not know what evidence the prosection has and is working in the dark.

Hopefully one of the lawyers can chime in, but I’ve never heard of a request like this being denied.

They’ve (DA/LE) got to cover their bases, even if he’s admitted to certain aspects, like the body disposal.
belt and braces approach I think.
