Neither do I.
I could never watch 'funniest home show videos' because children were/are often the butt of the joke when they'd have a fall off a bike, trampoline, were scared of clowns/animals/scary noises etc.
Those shows ratings went through the roof for years and years, the more videos of children's mishaps and tears and fears, the more popular the show, The ads for the shows were always the kiddies screaming and crying. What's funny? I could never get it but I had friends who loved these shows!
To hold up a few of SW's videos as some kind of distorted, unusual kind of behaviour just doesn't ring true to me, when the majority of the western world tune in every week to watch the most appalling signs of abusive behaviour against children!
To make an example of SW, is a joke. What does it have to do with her murder, with the murder of her children?
CW is the lone survivor, the laughing, cocky, vacant soul of a man who made a decision to destroy his family. They were a burden and no longer beautiful and cute, he cut any feelings for them well before that night, they had vanished from his mind and he made it a reality. This won't be different than the other FA's, imo. He'll probably blame his mother in the end too!
It's very good. I've been listening to it with this case in mind.We are now on thread #42 and its been almost exactly 60 days since this horrific crime happened.
For anyone who enjoys podcasts, I'm going to recommend a new one called The Dream - it delves into the workings of MLMs. Its giving me some new perspectives on SW's social media posts.
You can listen directly on the website or in any podcast app - The Dream
I agree, it's the norm, whether outsiders agree or not, it's just how things are.I feel like the live videos were just a norm in her circle. My guess is her "people" are all posting the exact same kind of videos on any given day, regardless of content. I think it just became the norm. I'm not a big fan of that kind of sharing, but I don't read any meaning or agenda into it. I think it's over the top, but "going live" is something she and her friends/customers/upline/downline people seemed to just be in the habit of doing.
That seems reasonable. I think it's the "almost didn't even finish the date" part that gets to me most, as it just seems really shallow and disrespectful. Imo. I'm also lucky my husband can dress himself fine and appropriately lol.
Well, it can't be helped, can't have it both ways, to absolve him, one has to run her down and that's exactly what's happened here for the last 41 threads. Not having made up one's mind does not mean anyone feels SW needs to be "taken down a notch."
Even for those who have doubts that he murdered his girls, by covering everything up, he was perfectly willing to let his own family go through hell worrying about what could have happened to Shanann, Bella and Cece if they remained missing. And I'll bet he would've been fine letting them spend their savings looking for his family and worrying forever after, while he cashed in on the house and moved on happily with his life. MOO
I didn't say it was horrendous. And that's a question for CW, but often people are more willing and able to overlook things in the beginning of a relationship more than later. So perhaps he could tolerate her criticisms of his style better than she could tolerate his style. So if their first date was so horrendous, because she was so rude and offensive and critical, why did he pursue her so vigorously?
Whatever was going on in his head, I consider it a Herculean feat for CW to be able to speak his children’s name that were supposedly unexpectedly just killed by hos wife with zero emotion. No grief bubbling up from anywhere within him. Shock? Void of emotion ? or in such self preservation mode that his well being is the priority and does that speak to his ability to detach and murder his children?Agreed. However, I do believe he could have tearfully read just a brief prepared statement. This assumes of course that he was in mourning for his family. But since I am convinced he was not (IMO), he clearly thought he could fool the public with 3 media interviews. Experts say that took arrogance and great confidence in his own ability to lie. He did have amazing eye contact, I will give him that. IMO
Thank you! Yes, Puerto Vallarta. We both slipped up! Just found it...it is from a year ago so probably a Mexico trip...
Shanann Watts
When I say “you”, I mean “one”.
I think it would have taken a Herculean effort for him to show emotion there. The stakes couldn’t have been higher, and he still couldn’t do it.Whatever was going on in his head, I consider it a Herculean feat for CW to be able to speak his children’s name that were supposedly unexpectedly just killed by hos wife with zero emotion. It is her valuation of him. She thinks he is inferior so she has to praise him all of the time to meet her standards.
Being thought to be inferior is not OK, is it?
Point being I've had a lot of education, training and experience with emotion coaching, empathy training, and working with troubled and "at-risk" young children, so that's likely to inform and influence my outlook and perspective. Because I truly know and appreciate the vitality of children having ownership of their bodies.
I think it was the tone and delivery more than the literal act of praising?
Did CW look at his children as real people? It's a rhetorical question.Exactly. Years of training to look at children as real live people with their needs , boundaries.
I know. We can't wrap our brains around it, it is so foreign. As he said, "It's vanished." Twice. They were no longer his children, IMO. Detached. Things to dump. Can't be shock...he is too well-functioning, IMO. All I see is someone with a little nervousness from public speaking and some adrenaline rushing because he couldn't finish his set up/cover up so he has a bigger fear of getting caught than he anticipated he would, IMO.Whatever was going on in his head, I consider it a Herculean feat for CW to be able to speak his children’s name that were supposedly unexpectedly just killed by hos wife with zero emotion.
