At the time that NK suggested that CW pawn the ring, she thought SW was out of the picture. CW told her SW no longer wanted the marriage, she up and left, took the kids with her, and left her ring behind. NK thought SW no longer wanted the ring or the marriage, and CW was having financial problems and could use the money.

If you're encouraging someone to work on their marriage, would you discuss long-term plans and agree on what your future together would look like?

Pg 509 (Discovery pg 576) From NK's 8/16 interview:

CHRIS and NICHOL had discussed long term plans. She asked him if he did not have the big house what would his house look like. CHRIS said he would have a smaller ranch house. They agreed to have more of a simple life.

I agree she‘s not a likeable person and her main focus is on covering her . But she‘s getting more hate than she deserves IMO. When everything she says or does or how she talks has to fit that narrative of a slutty homewrecker who pushed CW into despair, I‘m appalled by that. Just like I was appalled by comments in earlier threads making SW look like a bossy control freak who pushed poor CW. There‘s a lot of grey between black and white. It was CW who created this mess. Not SW or NK.

It's just analyzing the evidence and examining motives. Obviously opinions are going to come into play, it is not possible to have a thought about what happened here without judgments on the characters and looking deeply at what influences x had on y.

I get a bit peeved by folk who don't agree with a view and try to block discussion by being more 'moral'. It's not the same thing at all as blaming the victim for her own murder or making unfounded accusations against the victim.

Don’t throw tomatoes at me but would the discovery docs be laid out to clear her of suspicion? I‘d think the DA would just include stuff that was relevant to making his case. NK was not on trial.

All her communications to and about CW would've been included. I guess she could've said something like that verbally. I actually think she did. In a petulantly challenging way.

I am learning that now with this case. And here I thought it was all like Dragnet, just the facts ma'am.

Mama always said you catch more flies with honey..that technique worked on CW and NK like a charm. This case could have dragged on for YEARS (think Scott and Drew Peterson's cases) multiple murders in Drew's case..

The CO police...got their man quickly and irrefutably. No reasonable doubt, no someone else, no it wasn't me, they got him dead to rights.

You’ve got to keep in mind that CW lied to NK about everything throughout their relationship. There’s no evidence to prove that NK knew about the baby. I don’t think she did. I don’t see any reason for her to lie about it. Don’t you think there’d be texts about it if she knew?

1. What woman would ever go out twice with a guy that paid for the meals with a gift card? IMHO, NK has no self esteem whatsoever for a girl so seemingly obnoxious and full of herself.

2. What woman would believe a man in the late stages of divorce had to hid having a meal by using gift cards??

3. What woman would allow a man to use gift cards and not inquire about WHAT you don't have your own separate account, that you can provide our meals with...in late stages of divorce. Or his own separate account in general.

What woman? ONLY a woman who knows her lover is 100% married.

In the first interview (haven’t listened to 2nd yet) she mentioned the gift cards KNOWING he was using them deceptively. She knew his situation!!!!!!! Her actions and words tell us that. Sure she says other things to contradict the actions and other statements, but too late.

Just like LE told CW there are 2 Chris’ .........there are 2 Nichol’s as well. And out of these 4 characters, they are all no good.

She told both her friend, Charlotte and the detective she wasn’t sure how she felt about CW. Looking at wedding dresses online doesn’t necessarily mean she was selecting the dress for her wedding to CW, I look at wedding dresses all the time, and I’m not getting married. They’re beautiful, I love the fashion, the fabrics, the craftsmanship, the intricate details. I have friends who love looking at them, too. Could have been a “some day” type of thing for NK.

What about "marrying your mistress" how does that fit in?

I say, yes, you can have those conversations, and I say it because my husband and I did, long before we seriously discussed marriage, in an off hand fantasizing kind of way. We talked about what our dreams were. A lot. He wasn’t married, but I can see where she advised him to work on his marriage before he left for N.C. I don’t think she claimed any ownership of him. They weren’t committed. I don’t see NK falling apart in her interviews because she lost her fiancé, the love of her life, like you would expect her to if she’d given her heart to him.

My thoughts exactly. Thank you, cybrevampira! It is appalling. And "bashing" her (or anyone else)(except maybe CW) achieves nothing, in the end.
