That is amazing isn’t it.He had absolutely no idea how to act or what to say in being a concerned spouse. No clue.
Nor does he deserve it. Just put him in solitary confinement, like his buddy, Scott Peterson. There was a sob story about incarceration on tv last week, about how "poor SP" only got three showers a week, and 1 hour of outdoor time, in a small yard, covered with barbed wire. Wanh! Prison is so "inhumane". Well, the ones locked up are "inhumane". Suits them.
Do you think he was genuinely “in love” with NK ? Or was it just an act ? Interesting post.
I agree and I think it depends on the people he’s locked up with. If he’s locked up amongst fellow aniahlators and kiddy killers then he will be quite safe but once he’s moved to a more open environment, living amongst the likes of petty criminals, he’s a gonner. It really boils down to opportunity and a careless guard or two IMO.As I have said previously, he killed his babies and his pregnant wife and said exactly all this would happen but I was poo pood by a poster on here(I will not name names because I do not roll like that) saying they do not kill baby killers in prison. Duh??? Oh yes they do and from what I am reading even the prison guards want to do him in.
CW should be a very scared man right now but I do think they will keep him in some kind of isolation for awhile because of the threats on his life, which he will have no matter where he goes. He truly as it stand right now is a Dead Man Walking.
Not love. Addiction. Obsession. Filling his void.Do you think he was genuinely “in love” with NK ? Or was it just an act ? Interesting post.
So had he not aniahlated his family and their affair just carried on, he most likely would have bored of NK eventually.I think it was like an adolescent crush, intense sexual activity, someone who didn't expect CW to act like an adult. Just good times.
That is why men cheat on their wives, they get tired of conversations about money, kids, the house, there is always some sort of problem or issue. A mistress is just sex, fun, romance, like adolescence. You don't go to Costco with a mistress, and have to deal with reality. It can be all fantasy.
Just a thought, people are still wondering if he killed the girls first. IMO he wouldn't take that risk. If something happened, like Shanann decided not to come back that night and came with friends to get her stuff the next day and pick up the girls, his plan would be very much foiled. Their relationship was rocky, despite his pretence that things were going to change for the better. She was the main target and those poor little girls were disposed of afterwards. MOO
But he might find a 'bubba' that likes him instead of hates him.

If it’s not too painful to answer do you have any idea what your ex’s psychological state was when he strangled you? Was he just out of his mind? Did he know what he was doing was clearly wrong? Did he ever apologize? Do you know what became of him? Did he straighten his life out? Or is he a lifetime abuser? Thanks.Long ago in another life, my ex husband strangled me briefly. I was pregnant as well, with small kids in the house. As I tried to fight him off, all I managed was a tiny scratch on his neck and ripped his shirt collar. I don't wallow in this, no need for sympathy. I'm all good now. Shortly after, he violated a restraining order, but I bested him with a bit of pepper spray, and I've been rid of him for a loooonnnng time now. In my incident, I had some red marks on my neck but nothing else. I only bring up my past for two reasons....
1) To relate a personal strangling incident in which "marks" were minimal.
2) To mention that the cops and victims advocate instructed me not to say "choke" instead of "strangle" because it minimizes the severity of the act. Language has power. You choke when something is IN your throat. Strangling is a violent act from without. Up thread someone mentioned that RW said "choked" while talking with CW in the interrogation room. Interesting if so.
CW should have taken notice of NUA's demeanor, pacing around, genuinely distressed, calling people, desperately looking for ways to help, fighting back tears...and at least try to imitate what humans do when they are truly concerned. He didn't. He just stood there playing with his phone. This is the first police cam video ever recorded in the Watts case. Officer Coonrod arrives at the home and speaks with NUA.
Given his thoughts are disturbed it is likely he had some of this thinking. Quite often annihilators think they are doing their families a favor by murdering them. It would not suprise me if somewhere in his disturbed consciousness he thought he was doing the best thing by SW, as she didn't want a divorce and couldn't afford to live on his own with two kids. However the underlying thought and intent behind those thoughts is obviously incredibly self serving, selfish and narcassistic. Eg they need me and can't live without me and I don't want them anymore.
Then add in his absolute need to protect his nice guy image at all costs and bingo there's no way he can abandon a pregnant wife and two kids... A major recipe for disaster
I don’t think he fits the ”They need me and I‘m doing the best thing” type of FA. He was the needy one.
I suppose CW was the kind of guy who was unable to form a healthy relationship with any woman. Love bombing, obsession, fantasy bond... I don’t think it was any different when he met SW - the only difference back then was nobody stood in the way. His new ”symbiotic relationship“ meant NK was not a separate person. If he lost NK, he would lose himself. Fight or flight. He couldn’t let SW “kill“ him, so he killed her first. Premeditation? Yes, once he felt he was trapped. In his panic (perceived death threat), he failed to come up with a sophisticated plan.
He probably developed an unhealthy attachment style in his early childhood. And he was empty to the core. Without symbiosis, he would cease to exist.
@stereopticons Would love to hear your take on this.
Exactly, NK would have wanted marriage and kids eventually, had their relationship lasted. The excitement would have worn off and CW would have had his sights set on a new woman.I have a friend who puts it so eloquently, "Why trade one B for another B? It is just going to cost a lot of money, and the new one changes the minute she has a ring on her finger.". (He has been divorced twice).

Doubtful.
Was it ever disclosed what Rx he was taking in county lockup?
I believe I read on the CO report “inmate Watts reused his meds tonight”.
Totally agree with your last paragraph, I know it sounds heartless but that’s exactly what he was when he murdered his family. It's possible but can you imagine living amongst ALL family annihilators and baby killers? I doubt if they group them all together in prison like that and it would depend on what state the crime is committed or if they move them at a later time.
A prisoner is sent where they are sent and may the best man win. Usually. Good Luck CW.
BBMBut it really doesn't show anything except him backing the truck up. The only thing I see him putting in it is the gas can. It seems odd that he would be doing all that but it shouldn't make him more nervous than LE and SW's friend walking all around the house. He acts soooo strange when they find the phone. Not startled, not so worried that he 'thinks' something has happened to her, just casually scrolling thru her phone. How odd.
