Why do you suppose there hasn't been any charges brought against him and George for that? Do you think he gave info to LE and switched sides when he was confronted? Maybe he didn't want to go down with the ship on the SS Barry? I have thought that might be the case since he did go radio silent and he wasn't at the PH with his mother and grandmother. Maybe that is what Barry's sister was referring to when she confronted Lauren about (paraphrasing) ruining their family. Could there now be a rift between Trevor and the family?

I think it's just a hard thing to prove. Both men could plausibly have said that they were in fact looking out for Morgan, and not trying to interfere.

I don’t know, but it was a very small town and high school they both attended. LE went to Indiana and interviewed many people. If JL had suddenly gone missing around the same time, news of that would probably make it’s way back “home” ( even though he lived in Michigan). News travels fast on Facebook.

Someone like SO might remember the incidents described in the screenshot below.

After that, LE would definitely have to see if there was a connection.
Perhaps they would find that JL’s business trips and vacations placed him in the same cities at the same time as SM.

I won't be surprised if Suzanne's SECRET bank accounts were a SECRET from Suzanne. Particularly the ones in her name.

He thought he could govern her, vote for her, manage her money for her.

I imagine he was surprised when the Indiana house was closing that he couldn't sign for Suzanne because I'm imagining he always had.

Need confirmation from some sleuthers. This is where Barry's truck is after 02:30 on the 11th through the 15th. I'm guessing that this is where CCSO processes seized vehicles. I can't find any readable signing on the exterior of the building. There are a couple of signs at the gate, but I can't make them out on street view lending to my theory that this is CCSO property. If we can all agree that this is CCSO property, I can stop entering the Parking Light activity into Google Earth.

May 17 Search Press Release - Chaffee County Sheriff
As the investigation into the Suzanne Morphew’s missing person case moves forward, Chaffee County residents are being asked to preserve any and all video footage from devices such as Ring doorbells, security cameras, game cameras, etc., from May 8th thru May 12th.

Citizens are only being asked to preserve the video at this time. Please do not send these videos to the sheriff’s office or call the sheriff’s office. As search areas are identified, investigators will contact residents in those locations to collect any camera footage within that May 8-12 window.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL CHAFFEE COUNTY DISPATCH WITH QUESTIONS.

I agree that Barry finding out that his wife is having sex with another man would make him murderously enraged, blindingly to-hell-with-the-consequences enraged, more than anything else.

But I’m not so sure about the theory that he was plotting to kill her “local lover” in those weeks in April/ May to keep Suzanne. He had been spying on her with video and audio for a year or more and had no evidence that anyone had ever come to the house. He knew she was going on frequent trips far away and he tried to crash them to find out what’s going on. He knew she was always on her phone smiling flirting texting and selfie-ing, ie long distance “emotional affair “ (he hoped).

I still think it’s a big deal that she had cancer twice. That he must have started considering what life would be like without her and thought the cleanest best outcome would be for her to pass away. Then he would have the money, the mansion, the beautiful loyal daughters, and cute girls in Salida.

Suzanne was a buzz kill, was unhappy, was a threat to his ego, was going to split his life in half. When she beat cancer a second time and was about to have her final treatment he had to cleanly make it happen himself.

Only problem is, Barry can’t do anything cleanly, he’s a huge mess.

Always trust a woman's intuition. I believe Suzanne and what she knew about Barry's cheating ways. That includes everything he kept from her over the years of their marriage. I don't condone what Suzanne did, not at all, but damn, she deserved some happiness in her life and she certainly wasn't getting any from Barry. If Jeff made her happy, then good, but I don't like what he did. He's a coward.

This murder wasn't because of an affair Suzanne had. It was premeditated first degree murder. Barry wanted everything including Suzanne's inheritance and he wasn't going to part with any of it. I hope he's broke by the end of the trial and found guilty. Life plus 156 years.

Did any of the three participants record the convo? Provide to LE? If not, easy to imagine MG's stmts to LE and TN's & GD's stmts contradict one another.
Were threats, payment, or promises made? Subtle or explicit? Exactly who said what and when? The more recent stmts of all three to LE may vary slightly or substantially w their own earlier stmts to LE. Was $ withheld from MG for labor she had already provided? Or did they provide $ to her in excess of her legit labor? Perhaps at a later time? In sum, a clustercluck of a swearing contest. Imo, not so cut & dried as some here think.

Is MG willing to appear, take the stand, & to testify?

Does Dist Atty have sufficient evd to prove TN and/or GD committed any one of those three types of offenses?

It blows my mind that the Poncha Market video wasn't retrieved as soon as it was reported BM had been going through that trash bin and it was captured on video!

And it also blows my mind that, after LE had specifically asked that video be retained within a very specific time frame, the owner of that market - knowing that their own video may well be relevant - did not retain it, but allowed it to be overwritten!

They didn’t even send out the Reverse 911 to ask for footage until May 17.


May 17 Search Press Release - Chaffee County Sheriff
As the investigation into the Suzanne Morphew’s missing person case moves forward, Chaffee County residents are being asked to preserve any and all video footage from devices such as Ring doorbells, security cameras, game cameras, etc., from May 8th thru May 12th.

Citizens are only being asked to preserve the video at this time. Please do not send these videos to the sheriff’s office or call the sheriff’s office. As search areas are identified, investigators will contact residents in those locations to collect any camera footage within that May 8-12 window.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL CHAFFEE COUNTY DISPATCH WITH QUESTIONS.

“One of the most helpful ways the community can aid in the search of Suzanne Morphew is by preserving these recordings,” said Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze. “We are aware that some systems override video after several days, and we want to ensure video remains available if needed.”

I blame CCSO for this one. It sounded like they had a pretty good handle on the case and didn’t need anybody calling anything in. They very specifically asked that you don’t call them with questions, just hold all your footage. Um okay. Does everyone here know how to preserve footage? Everybody got a spare card or whatever is necessary to upload onto another device? I think that whoever wrote that release should be kicking themself today. The husband was supposedly cooperating, and wouldn’t the sheriff’s department have an eye on him if they considered him a suspect? I would think that they would have known he was at the Poncha Market, and they would have come calling to take a look at any footage. Heck I would have thought they were filming him themselves.
