I have a few questions:

1. Do you feel that this case in trending up or down in terms of charging a suspect?

2. Does it appear that BM is the prime suspect?

3. Is LE running out of leads?

Thank you for your indulgence!
I think LE is still going through all the electronic devices plus they've said they have received hundreds of tips that they have to go through.

I think it’s definitely trending in a positive direction, but it’s the kind of case that’s going to take many months to build (especially without a body).

Not only do I think BM is a prime suspect, but I think he was a prime suspect almost immediately.

These are still early days, and I think they still have quite a bit of evidence to analyze (cell records, financial records, lab results, surveillance footage, witness statements, etc).

This could take quite a while, but I think they’re on the right track. It’s just impossible to know where the investigation stands at this point.

Not sure about suspects right now. Does appear that the LE has focused on BM. Is LE running out of leads or is LE trying to protect its tourist revune is my question. sorry normaly dont like to answer a question with a question. I have found informtion about wildlife in the area that is making rethink some ideas thoughts that i thought wasnt possiable sorry my opinon is not formed yet. I took a quiz online about moutian Lions . I dont live where they are (checking in to that as well) I failed the quiz when you fail you have to watch videos to get your goal done.Never say Never about a possiable animal attack

Wow - what a great post. Many thoughts arise in my mind after reading this. I'd suspect the results will be termed "inconclusive" until Suzanne is found.

The difficulties you outline are so concerning. Even if scent led them to the South Arkansas and then down toward the dam, it would still be so difficult to locate a body. Summer may change some things, though. Investigators must have to have nerves of steel, this situation would be driving me crazy.
Perhaps this is exactly why LE has stated they will not have future press conferences? They know what happened and now they have to wait...IMO
Also thanks for your tremendous amount of input meant to you and so many others!
Lots of good thought and info being shared in this thread.

Oviedo thank you for this. I added to the 5/15 date. On that presser, Sheriff Spezze said they had found a few more items the previous day 5/14.

After seeing where the bike was located, I highly doubt this was a mountain lion attack. Did the mountain lion move the bike and put it against the tree? Also, Suzanne would have fought have tried to outrun and fight it. There would have been signs of blood nearby.
BM own words the bike was on the ground not leaned againist a tree. LE wont confrim anything why is that i wonder. Is because they dont have any evidence and with a Cat attack it is possiable that She was on the bike and when the Lion pounced from a tree knocked her and the bike back away from origanal spot of contact. These cats get huge so the body wieght of the cat would be the deteriming factor of how far the bike was knocked away

I’m wondering if he was insistent on selling a property and she objected.

This is what I'm wondering as well. Perhaps SM didn't want to sell their home in Indiana. moo

To be fair, it's been almost 26 whole days since she went missing.

26 whole days is way longer than the 26-seconds he devoted to that "Oh, Suzanne" video plea to the mountain lion that abducted her. I'm not exactly sure how much longer. You do the math.

Regardless, it's impressive how long he's held out hope.
The man can't live in limbo forever.
It's been almost an entire month since she's gone missing!

"Life goes on."

For some, anyway.

JMO.

26 days to me seems like a short span of time when comparing how long they were married...maybe what I am saying...if you were just married or only married for 365-750 days--26 days might seem like a long wait.

I'm not saying they were merely covering their bases. If my theory is correct, this was made to look like anything but an assisted suicide. I do believe that LE, after the searches of the house and construction site, came to the conclusion that BM did not commit a Scott Peterson-esque murder.

Are you suggesting that a suicide, assisted or not, was made to look like an accident, abduction or murder? The only reason I can think of is a life insurance policy that does not pay out for suicide.

Ita ! ^^^

Hence the removal of concrete and the sifting (that's what it looked like) of the dirt. :(
My god... they were looking for small pieces of evidence, imo.
Burned, pulverized ... or whatever.
Can you tell my wrath is rising ?
I think LE found some evidence very early on.
They knew. :(

This husband gives me a Scott Peterson vibe of arrogance and conceit.
As in --how dare we question his motives or actions ?
MOO

ITA. It's all so very, very sad. I just want SM to be found. I'm holding on to some faith that perhaps this will still happen. moo

Just doesn't make sense to me. Sure, assisted suicide might be someone's choice....but if so, wouldn't one just announce "Mrs X passed away this day" and not give specific details?

MOO
Colorado is indeed an assisted suicide state but as I have said before no mother especially not SM (knowing what we know of her) would choose to off herself on Mother’s Day weekend. BM picked the wrong time if that’s what he hopes we believe! IMO

Thank you - I’ve been researching like mad since discovering this guardianship proceeding and calling in favors for probate lawyers in my state and IN - not a single one said this could be done so I’m gonna have to break the news they were all wrong thanks to this Judge - it’s shocking to me still
- don’t go missing is my lesson learned at least when owning real property in IN -

AND in Indiana? Wow.

I texted a colleague of mine here in CA who does probate and she thought it was odd just that a missing person’s property could be sold:

Regardless of whether he had anything to do with SM’s disappearance, I suspect his attorney/s advised him to petition for the permanent guardianship. It seems to me that gruesome as it may sound at this stage, it’s probably a practical thing to anticipate. That’s what we pay attorneys for ... to have our backs. Don’t forget he has two daughters that are not yet launched. If he’s cash poor (yes, this could be motive but, either way ...), being able to manage co-owned assets/properties without SM’s signature would be important. JMO
Ditto, ditto, ditto Whether he wanted to start the process or not, at some point, even if innocent, he needs to keep things going, for the daughters. Doesn’t even mean he has given up hope.

Yes...that is the elephant in the room (jmo)...why and how do you legally do that (sell a missing person's property) when nothing has be formally documented by LE or the coroner???

Didn't the family already sell the Arcadia, IN family residence May 2019?

Yes and that’s what every lawyer I asked said too - granted they were in FL but I graduated with a few Folks who went on to be IN lawyers who don’t agree with this Judges ruling either - so we shall see what comes of it if anything - I’d really like to see these pleadings - we can go to the courthouse and pay the copy cost - must be what crimeonline did ? as always appreciate your input and time @gitana1

On Wednesday, Sheriff John Spezze told CBS4 while it’s an open investigation, he would not rule out a criminal investigation. He adds the probability of an animal attack is not very high.
Family: Suzanne Morphew's Husband Offers $100,000 Reward In Disappearance Investigation

Respectfully, LE has consistently said from the beginning, they do NOT think Suzanne was attacked by a mountain lion.

How could LE possibly know what happened when SB's body hasn't been found? There still has to be proof to identify the perp.

Thanks @gitana1 -- we have four attorneys now that find BM's use of the Probate court in such manner while his wife missing: odd, bizarre, weird, and No. We don't like it! Smells very bad.

The last time I remember a husband who wanted to sell off the wifes vehicle and home was Scott Peterson and we know how that one ended he has a cell on death row that overlooks the same Bay his wife washed up on.
As for the lion attack I still cannot get behind that, a lion or bear is not on the hunt for humans to eat in the spring when food is plentiful and from what I saw on the video of BM showing where the bike was found I thought you would be able to easily see the bike from the road but from the video today because of the brush you would have to know where to look, and the bike was found by family the same day she went missing (?)
I have looked and also can't find any tiger king or Carol Baskin type places in the area where she may have been attacked by big cat from something like that. So I just cannot get behind the animal attack story.
And I remember on more than one occasion (because of my gracefulness) when I would wreck on my bike I would have no knee or elbow skin left luckily I am old enough people didn't think I was abused with the amount of band-aids I required as a bike riding speed demon. But there is no evidence that there was small amounts of blood or rock disturbance in the place that she was going so fast her bike ended up that far down the hill? And that is not a ravine. I also cannot get over the fact that according to BM the articles of SM were found in the opposite direction, another set up like the bike if you ask me.
