I wondered this also. What about pheromones attracting and/ or throwing off ferals as well as trained?!
If that were true, then they wouldn't be able to use dogs in landfills. And they do. So I think the dogs are probably very well trained.

I first read the Chaffee County volunteer firefighter application last May and after reading the physical agility test (PAT) volunteers had to pass, I immediately thought of her husband packing out petite, SM to some untraceable location.

Not once did I think SM was the victim of a wildlife attack. Plausible, yes; probable, no.

MOO
I too have been thinking about the volunteer firemen's physical fitness requirements.

What comes to mind is the "Fireman's Carry".

No, you’d always use a saw.

Well, some people might. But if so, I'd think there'd be very little skull/skin/flesh. You'd saw them off at the base of the antler, not come home with a chunk of skull attached.

IMO.

Unless one didn't know what they were doing?

My husband used to pack out 100+ lb deer by making a sling with their feet tied in front of him, and with the rack off to the back as not to catch branches. He walked for miles with those deer, because he himself was an upright animal that didn't have to drag a prey. And because the food preparation/eating site was back at the cabin.

Muscle man Barry could easily have carried her off, with little sign. He could have done that before she was dead, sadly, which would have stymied the dogs.

My dad and uncles did this too. But they were built very differently than BM.

I have absolutely no confidence in his grasp of hunting logistics nor his ability to choose the proper tool for a trophy-gathering activity. One of the trophies in their living room is pictured in the MLS listing before they bought the house. I believe all of them were purchased - it's just a hunch, although I can't remember now if there were Indiana deer amongst the trophies (don't think so).

The bobcat on display in the Morphew living room in the Christmas photo may or may not be found in either Indiana or Colorado, but for some reason - I can't say exactly why - I doubt BM bagged that cat himself.

I guess it's his overall presentation of self (or lack thereof where it counts). He hasn't humanized himself or Suzanne by providing the kinds of details that make him sound like a real person, and I have my theories about that. The most likely reason is that he's hiding something. And not just one thing, but a pattern of things.

Just a FYI. I passed the Police PAT. It's not that hard. I was in damn good shape but was also coming off a 12 hour bartending shift. I'm sure they're similar. I had to drag a 300 lb bag 50 yards, which was timed. Not easy but doable. Plus lots of other tests that took 8 hours.
Don't give him credit where credit isn't due. (Not saying you did, I'm just out for blood tonight!):p
PS. You know I love you, Seattle1!
Darn girl, you did great! And coming off a 12 hour bar tending shift.

Congratulations!

You and I are on the same page. I don't have any faith in BM's competency to do much of anything (reviewing the aerial photographs of his hardscaping, I had a lot of questions; I don't trust his self-report on the push-up contest; he hasn't managed Suzanne's disappearance with any leadership; his youtube was fluff; his boastfulness/hyperbole when he does talk; maybe something else I can't describe...)

Anyway, I am very dubious about BM and his specific competencies. I'm not saying that he's incapable of planning a crime or of controlling both people and narratives - that's probably his strong suit).

But I just don't think he knew what he was doing when he closed his businesses in Indiana, moved to Colorado and embarked on whatever this phase of his life is. I think he uses money to solve problems and will indeed continue to make financial decisions that are, at best, questionable. He's got an excuse for almost anything at this point, in terms of disposing of shared assets.

And I predict he hasn't managed assets well in the past, either.

I have no idea what you're talking about?!!

Are you talking about the 15% service fee by the GET that was posted earlier?

Has this proven to be untrue, and the donor can decide how much should be allocated for the service fee?

What gets added back if you donate at the PE site?

TIA.
Lol sorry @Seattle1 for any confusion. Yes I saw the discussion about paying the 15% service fee or “tip” for the 🤬🤬🤬 site that was set up on PE’s website for AM. Every time I type Go Fund Me using initials it posts as “***” for some reason. Anyway I wanted to make sure marylamby and others knew there was a box where you have the option to change the amount before you make your donation. If you type in “0” instead of the default amount of 15% it won’t add a service fee to your donation. It is optional although they make it easy to miss that little detail. :D

LOL, I was 22 or 23 and worked out everyday. I am petite, too.
I didn't know I'd pass the written with flying colors, didn't even study the material. My sister didn't, nah nah.
In the end, I bowed out. It would've been me or a perp. I pictured being in front of a dunkin' donuts:
"NO DON'T SHOOT, you don't want to throw your life away!" Bang, I was dead. Yeah, it wasn't for me.
That and all of the stories I heard of what they subjected rookies to. This was a long time ago, folks.
From what I understand, it's a whole new ball game now, thankfully.
PS. I only took the test to appease my LE Dad. Had no idea I'd do well.
Even my investigative Lieutenant said to me, "Why are you here?!". LOL!

Wait there’s actually a bobcat on display in their living room in the Christmas picture?!! Are you kidding me right now? How did I miss that? Very ironic foreshadowing don’t cha think?! ;) (as I go to look...)

BBM
Which can be quite frustrating for a mate. Might very well cause some disagreements. jmo

IMO, no.

Handlers will use animal remains as a training distraction, it doesn’t matter. It’s like lawn furniture, it’s just there. The odor emitted is just different, animal vs. human. It’s awesome to see a seasoned, well trained dog in action.

Again, IMO.

Not only are dogs our best friends often, some trained dogs are brilliant.:)
Would love info about these great dogs in the 'soon to be' arrest.
Nothing was well hidden, I would imagine.
MOO.

Guess, I'll go back to my loved, untrained dog, who only knows 'walk'.

I'm tired after walking round a suburban block!o_O

BM. with his free gym membership, goes to show off his muscles, which he exposes whenever he can, as in the first interview with PD.
