MG stated in her LS interview that BM called her on Sunday, Mothers Day (so frustrated the time was not asked or not shared) and asked her to get a crew together and head to Boomfield and she picked up JP and headed that way to fix the retaining wall.

In JP's interview, didn't he state he saw BM on Saturday and he offered him the retaining wall repair job and he would report on Sunday?

This might not even matter at the end of the day.

you mentioned a good point that it sounded like BM wanted JP and MG out of town on the
Broomfield site. But why?
I wonder if he didn't send them out of town was because he had some 'planned' work to do on the Salida site right after dark and during the night. Maybe get rid of something?
I think he needed assurance that that Salida site would be quiet and no one around.
We know he was there at 11:30 pm. What all was he doing?

I don't think that we know for certain it was him at the site that evening. JMO

If the CBI/FBI were on deck I am thinking they probably have the technology to download what they needed quickly. I am basing this on Verizon being able to transfer everything from an old phone to a newly purchased phone.....less than 5 minutes. JMO

The technology is pretty amazing. It takes minutes to download a phone, and the software categorizes all the information (texts, locations, searches, etc).

The cool thing is that it’s also capable of recovering deleted information in many instances.

Yeah, except I can't see any reason why he would have worried about his workers coming by to nose around the Salida site when they weren't working.

So they wouldn't have the opportunity to notice something that had changed at the site? If they were out of town, the slab would be poured before they got back and any changes would be covered by cement? IDK JMO

Yes, and it's worth noting: JP and BM had worked together before, but JP had never worked FOR BM before. He wasn't part of BM's "regular crew", whoever they were. Perhaps BM felt that JP could kind of take charge in a way that perhaps the other two workers couldn't.

I think she was just recounting what she saw, and that event struck her as being strange.

Because of what Andy was told in regards to Suzanne texting her friend that day, I think Suzanne was still alive at that point (up until 12:30 at least).

Something had Barry stressed and worried, and I think it had to do with some sort of conflict between he and Suzanne.

I think the line about going home and making “the wife happy,” shows that all was not well. I think he went home, they argued, and he killed her.

Of course it’s also possible that he had already decided to kill her while he was still at the job site, and that’s what was on his mind.

We don't know if these two mysterious guys were indeed TN and GD. We have a pretty good idea, but what if it's someone else entirely? How many nephews does BM have living out there? We don't know. Or cousins. Or a BIL.

We only have one person's verbal report about this actually happening.

Perhaps, BM did see JP on Saturday and offered him the job and MG just meant by "getting a crew together" - literally picking folks up and driving together - not literally selecting him for the job.

You're right - BM & JP knew each other from a prior job but it was the first time he worked for BM.

I still think it's a bloody mess of a timeline. lol

You're a little vague but I assume you mean the first website-assisted funding effort that shall not be named. How do you know where the money is going? The daughter the sole beneficiary of that fundraising effort so wouldn't she have all the say to how the money is spent?

Looks like LE has had a change of heart they will be helping in the search for Suzanne. I am so glad they are getting on board with AM and supporting him in his efforts to find her. Now if we can just get BM to join in and maybe he can show everyone where they need to be searching that would be great but I don't honestly think that is going to happen.

We know Andy hasn’t received any thus far, despite how much it would aid the planned search in a couple weeks.

Technically she does have a say in how the money is spent, but her father is BM, so I think it’s a good bet that she really does have any say.

The Gimme Fund promised a full record on how the money was spent. I look forward to that.

MG said that on Saturday, BM wanted her to work on the area sloping down toward the river at the east Salida worksite, bringing in and spreading sand so it was less mucky. Then, she claimed that BM declared they were done for the day at 11:00 and she was surprised because she thought they were ending work before the job they were there that day to do was actually complete.

So, what was that all about?

I wonder if the sand was delivered that same morning or the day before and if the entire load was delivered to the east Salida site or if some part of it was delivered to Puma Path.

If the entire load went to the east Salida site (or even if not), I wonder whether some of what was delivered to east Salida was later loaded into a truck bed (thus the sound of heavy machinery near midnight at the east Salida site) and then moved to Puma Path for a middle of the night hardscaping project.

So far, this case and the disclosures of the BM-related people involved produce as many questions as they do answers.

I am hopeful, but I think finding the body is a problem...also, those other individuals may plead the fifth if they get put on the stand, but hopefully, they would turn into states witnesses before then in return for some leniency for any charges for after the fact accessory, which they probably were.

I think the beach area in Salida will play into this in an important way. That sounded like
MG was covering up some tracks near the water.
I hope AM and his crew do a thorough search of the river banks downstream for miles. If he were smart, he'd know how to weight down
a cooler w/concrete or rocks so things might not float to the surface for a long time.

I totally agree.

There was a photo of the beach area that I cannot find right now and there was a bunch of large rocks or boulders placed to the right side before the water.

I want to look under all those rocks as they look like new rocks that were recently placed there during their sand beach work.

If he setup a wood chipper (i know its a scary thought) like we previously talked about and had it physically in the water with the exit chute flying out into the water then unfortunately there may not be much evidence left, but there is always some evidence to be found even if minute.

It may be difficult but if he did anything with her remains in that beach area, there should be something that can be found around that beach area and downstream from it.

My first order of business would be to remove all those new rocks to the right side of the beach looking at the water. And dig underneath the ground which is under those rocks.

Honestly, my first thought about the beach area was covering up a boat launch (raking the sand, etc.) but that doesn't fit the timeline if this job was Saturday morning. IMO

Why in the world would BM have M out at the Salida property raking the beach area neat etc. when the house wasn't built yet and no one was living there. Has she said what it looked like before she started raking, tire tracks, drag marks? Paying her to do that is very peculiar to me.

Maybe so that if there were subsequent alterations to the area, it could be raked out and the employee who originally raked it could say it looked the same as when she left? MOO

I think the most damning thing from the interview is that MG was fired for giving her phone to LE. There has to be a way she can sue for wrongful termination right?

On May 10, 2020 Suzanne Morphew was reported missing from her home near Maysville, Colorado.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office along with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation began an investigation into the disappearance of Suzanne Morphew immediately.

As part of this investigation numerous searches were conducted however Suzanne has yet to be located.

Andrew Moorman, brother of Suzanne Morphew, is organizing an independent search in the area of Suzanne’s disappearance. This effort will begin on September 24th and continue for the next several days. Andrew will be leading several hundred volunteer searchers from various towns and states in his effort to find his sister.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation want to support this effort. Although our team is unable to coordinate and lead this effort due to liability issues we want to support this effort in several different ways. We certainly appreciate this huge undertaking and want to offer support to facilitate their efforts.

We will be staffing our command post with liaison personnel to assist Moorman search members. Our SAR units will be on hand to assist with Moorman search team accountability and other search team coordination issues. Our crime scene team will be available to document and collect any evidence if found. We will have both Chaffee County and CBI case Agents on hand in this endeavor as well.

As with any major undertaking it takes many different resources to complete a task and we once again appreciate the Moorman Search effort and its many volunteers.
