from PE:

AM and crew are headed to colorado, from indiana, in a caravan on sept 22 (about 35 people). he plans to get with the sheriff and CBI first thing.

mark johnson's (lawyer, CEO of Visual Labs) company specializes in forensic documentation and forensic visualization, showing accurately a crime scene, or a disaster scene, using digital tools and interfacing with LE groups, as well as search and rescue. they use drone technology with thermal-based sensors to detect activity and disturbances and clandestine graves, things not apparent to the naked eye. they have new software developed to coordinate on the ground, so as to not waste resources and/or time. since it's such a remote area, they also have access to image libraries, both aerial satellite- based and terrestrial photo-dimetric imaging, so it's possible to go into the historical record and see if they can find any useful info. he's going to be pulling some of the aerials, from mother's day, to identify potential areas to make available for the search teams! wow! (mark also helped with the daybell case.)

per andy, they have collected EVI (electric vehicle information). the cell phone info has been kept very private by the investigators, and AM feels there must be a reason behind that, so he's not questioning it. he is hoping once he gets to colorado, they will give him and his crew suspect areas to search.

mike asks andy to share with the viewers (and mark, the guest) the change that has happened in the last 4-5 weeks since he went public with his pleas for help. andy replies, "LS from fox21 did some really interesting interviews that i would beg you to watch. if you thought some things were sinister before, when you watch those, you're really gonna think that. i know i do. my sole mission is to find my sister. i'm not a judge, a jury, or the police. they can deal with the rest. i just need to find suzanne. that's my goal. my only goal."
Wow!!!!!!
Bam!!

Me too - I’ve been through too many hurricanes that included loss of power - turning my phone into a hotspot and having battery powered devices To plug laptop in helped my sanity for sure - stay safe
I download e-books from the state public library before every forecasted major storm. I make sure they work on all the devices I own (so I have plenty of battery time). I'd recommend some sleuthing books, forensics, Anne Rule! If you can, for brilliant LE interrogations, download Scott & Bailey episodes ; these are BAM!
Anyone have ideas for downloadable books relevant to the Morphew case to while away a storm? How searches are conducted? How lidar is used? Body decomposition? Bleach traces? How to tell if someone is lying?
Maybe you can get someone to text you if there's an arrest?
Mostly, stay safe, all you who are in hurricane paths!
Apologies if I've expanded on an off-topic topic, but when WS is down, you gotta do what you gotta do to stay on top of "your" case, IMO.

Thank you!

I will be taking plenty of photos and keep our fellow WS'ers in the loop! Cross your fingers, say a prayer or do whatever it is that works for you and send them our way. We want to help this poor family... #justicefotrsuzanne

Someone upthread gave a link that said the 2003 Rover would not have GPS. I say "Rover" because I searched just this thread and found both Land Rover and Range Rover.

In order to check whether GPS was standard on a 2003 model, we'd need to know which one it is (I know there was discussion about window shapes, etc - so someone knows).
IIRC, both models—Range Rover and Land Rover— are made by Rover, a British car company, and they're expensive. Would they not both have GPS? Even in 2003? They're "rugged outdoors" kind of vehicles, just the kind that might have been "early adopters" for tech like installed GPS.

Ha! Loved Scott & Bailey! Happy Valley is great too! All of Sally Wainwright’s work really.

In your opinion, why?

Another BM mind-game to distance himself and produce confusion, perhaps?

I certainly had to think through who might have been calling SM "Aunt Suzanne" and BM "her husband", instead of "Uncle Barry" or "my uncle"...

MOO

Very interesting program, the whole thing. AM sounded a bit defeated, saying IIRC that the search would probably not result in anything.

AM did say he is exhausted. DH and I watched and we could tell he was close to tears at times. He has a family, and is a business owner plus is worried about his dad. We know Andy and my DH has signed up to go to Colorado. AM was already at his dad's this morning when DH texted him which is likely a six hour drive. I cannot even begin to imagine what he is going through. MOO

Just so you remember to watch for this little bit of body language in these interviews....when a person is lying they look up and to the right. When they are telling the truth, they look to their left. The only people who can lie looking straight at you are psychopaths.
That's really interesting, will check it out. H'mm, so if BM does show for his promised sit-down interview with LS I reckon he'll have a Covid mask, dark sunglasses and a hat on, to complete the look. MOO

Excellent, thank you! I’ll be really interested to see what the suggested search areas are.

Me and my husband are signed up and going.
Looking forward to reports from our boots on the ground WS'ers!!! Hopefully those participating will be on separate teams, so we'll get different perspectives.

Im hopeful the search will result in something positive and maybe open the door for LE to coordinate with qualified members of social media in the future

His arrogance may get the better of him. I hope it does.

lol Im sure BM might use that excuse, but Im not buying it because its clear from his previous interactions with the media hes not consulting an attorney (thoughts and prayers to whomever that ends up being). But honestly, from a PR perspective, i think a defense attorney would encourage his to go because it looks BAD if hes not at SMs big search event and 2. he promised a reported he would go and changing his mind shows hes not a man of his word, being untrustworthy is not a good way to kick off a defense, JMO

edit: sorry guys i meant vigil, but i still think a defense attorney would encourage him to at least appear to help with the search for the cameras, it could support his claims of innocence and help repair his image to appear to care (not that i would buy it and when sentencing comes around it could show the judge some sort of remorse)

Actually he said he would attend the vigil. BM said nothing about taking part in the search...
