It is said that in domestic violence cases, you need a plan. I think she had one. I think the plan was to go to the wedding, see her father, and possibly not return to CO. Maybe he found out.

She had a maintenance chemo appointment scheduled for May 11th. She was texting with her friend on May 8th & they were talking about the wedding, which was being held May 9th. The friend never heard from her again after their texting session, which abruptly ended. SM's daughters were coming home from camping on May 10th. I don't see that SM had any plan to travel to go to the wedding, and miss her chemo appointment.

... considering her family’s extensive assets they may have wanted someone other than BM to act as guardian or trustee... Regardless I still think the financial aspect is suspect... If the eldest daughter is 21 or recently/ currently approaching that age the possibility exists that she too may have inherited land and/or money from the Moorman Family. Would Barry be a guardian or trustee on that if Suzanne were missing or incapacitated? ...

IN ct appt'ed BM as G'dn for SM, to handle her prop, assets, accts, etc.
AFAIK, we do not know if SM's fam created any trusts. If SM's Father GM (or her Mother, now deceased) created a trust or trusts and if under terms of trust doc, Gr-Dau#1 is to receive $ at age 21, then the trustee is obligated to distribute $ to her, regardless of who the tt'ee is. Ditto, for other distributions, per the trust. Possible that GM is the tt'ee, or AM, another relative, or SM. What about BM? Is BM a tt'ee now or could he become tt'ee in the future? Yes, but only if grantor named him in trust doc as a successor tt'ee.

W regard to any trust (hypothetically estab'ed by Father GM or by now-deceased Mother), I doubt SM's disappearance or incapacity has any affect whether BM would be a trustee for that trust.** He's either named or not named in trust doc.

OK folks...follow along. Is it probable that the reason the actor got so vocal about LE destroying the evidence, was because it was staged? He needed LE to find it to make his lie into a truth? Again, how would the actor know if evidence had been destroyed, unless he knew where it was? I'm at 98% that deceptive evidence was staged in the opposite direction from the "event" to entice LE and potentially SAR to look somewhere else while he was keeping an eye on the real areaof concern. If someone else told him that LE had destroyed evidence, I would want to know how that person knew where the evidence was. My BS and Red Flag meters are pegged. Tracker, what is opposite of the potentially fabricated LKP you ask? Why the countryside back behind the Puma Path property! I am thinking the other sites were potentially smaller bits of evidence that were evaluated by LE because of cell phone hits that placed the actor in those areas for a period of time on or around the time of the "event". Now the actor would want to keep an eye on his little plot of horror to ensure no one had found it, and what better way than a trail cam? So after SAR (who were looking for a body laying on the ground) and LE (who were looking for a body or a suspicious dirt pile) and tramped through the area, there must have been a warm and fuzzy feeling and a green light to move forward with the planned agenda. So what is interesting about the LKP you may ask? It's a quick, short drive from the house to go stage and right back to the house again. No need to cross the highway with potentially more witnesses driving past. What's so interesting about the acres behind the house? My, my, my....about the best place in the world to dispose of remains without them floating down river, popping up in a lake, being discovered in a drum located in a storage locker or any number of other scenarios that could come back and bite him years later. Deep enough to keep the wildlife from digging up, wrapped up well enough to keep any decomp gasses from escaping and remote enough that even on the off chance someone was hiking the area, it would not be discovered. Just MOO

I like your theory a lot. The mountainous forest land to the south is not going to be developed. It is not a part of the Monarch trail system. It's steep ruggedness discourages human activity.

I think that if the area was explored by BM, say hunting antlers, he never met another human up there. It could be his go-to place for concealment.

Right? Plus TD's description of him being wet when he saw BM in the truck. I didn't know much about this search group before this case, but looking at their history and successes makes me feel very hopeful that they are on to something here...fingers crossed.

In case they didn’t find Suzanne, at least we will know she isn’t there. Indeed a lot of us are still wondering what BM did all wet when TD encountered him.

Just jumping off your post - I mentioned this just lately and no one commented - about something that was going to be used in this case regarding satellite imagery - ? Vislaw or something to look for disturbed ground, etc. What ever came of this? Did I imagine this? Or maybe the wrong case? Anybody? TIA

I am confused by this as well and I don't believe @vislaw has been back to WS since the PE interview. I love the work Vislaw does and I am very interested in the possibilities this technology holds. I hope everything is ok with them. Curious if they are working behind the scenes and have been asked to keep quiet. Jmo

Thanks for this @SeattleStew. <modsnip> It’s been so cold and snowing in Colorado so I wonder if that will that effect their search? Hopefully they are experienced with diving in these conditions and prepared for the cold.

We just spent another long night with yet another hurricane bringing strong winds and heavy rain. Zeta took down some more trees and there are a lot of power outages and lots of flooding in MS and LA. Hopefully that is the last one because all of us on the Gulf Coast are over this hurricane season! I have been wanting to watch A River Runs Through it again ever since we talked about it on this thread so I decided to watch it on the laptop last night to keep my mind off the storm. But apparently I had confused it with Legends of the Fall! Brad Pitt is so handsome in both movies but I said he was at his absolute hottest in A River Runs Through It so I would like to correct that to Legends of the Fall. But Montana looks just as beautiful as Colorado and they are both great movies!

Hoping & praying Adventures with a Purpose has a safe and prosperous search! Suzanne needs to be found and her killer arrested! When is that Chaffee County D.A. election in November? Is it on the ballot on November 2nd?

There was an implication that LEAs across the country are aware of the group and ask them to come out to assist in searches.

Is that the case here, I wonder?

What is particularly interesting to me is the reference to dealing with, "the mine shaft," as opposed to "mine shafts" plural or even the general description of "a mine shaft."

"The" mine shaft would seem to indicate there's a specific mine of interest that has been identified.

Also, it's really good to hear that BM's hunting grounds are going to be a target of searches.

I thought the same when I read “the” mine shaft.

Didn’t AM mention something about trying to search a certain mine shaft during his search last month? If I remember correctly, AM said he had a flashlight with him and described how dangerous it was trying to get down in that mine to be able to search it. Hmmm, wonder if this is the same mine shaft the AWP team member is referring to in the article, and if so, the reason that this particular mine holds interest. Very intriguing indeed.
Sorry, I can’t locate the source for the AM mine shaft comment, but I remember hearing or reading about it somewhere.

So glad this AWP team is going out to search, fingers crossed they’re successful and there’s a resolution soon!

I know we've been over this a million times... but if a person drove a diesel truck down to a shoreline, that had conveniently and recently been raked smooth, providing a nice solid surface to drive on, how loud would that truck be, say across land and water? A truck such as that was loud enough for MG to hear and identify... what if a truck such as that were used primarily as a light source, for swapping attachments? An oddly timed mechanical thing..... how long would that take? Not stealing, trading.

I kind of got the impression that they do what they do, based on donations from subscribers to their YT channel. IOW, if the resources are there, they go and do what they do.

In any case, I do hope they're welcomed by the CCSO.
Most importantly, I hope they find SM.

Oh, and yes, BM must be absolutely delighted that these guys are coming to assist in the search for his beloved wife. I mean, whatever it takes, eh? No questions asked. I wonder if he'll be available to consult with them when they get there?

Good question.

Underwater body location and recovery is a completely different ball game than looking for sunken "stuff". I'm not hopeful here and doubt LE has requested this resource (I'll gladly eat my words). I know, I know....Debbie Downer here
