You are correct. The notes I have state the following:
Wed 5/6 Housecleaner spoke to both when she was emptying trash at the neighborhood dumpster on Puma Path
Thursday 5/7 SM allegedly went to Scott the bike repair guy in Salida
Friday 5/8 Picked up a pizza in Salida - unconfirmed
Saturday 5/9 Had lunch with BM in Salida - unconfirmed
Sunday 5/10 BM states he left her sleeping at 5:00 a.m. - unconfirmed
I think LE asked for video footage from 5/8 because that was the last confirmed sighting of SM. I think they asked for anything up to 5/12 because they wanted to see what BM was up to in the days following SM’s disappearance, (aside from going through the trash at the Poncha Market on the evening of 5/12).
MOO

Thank you, OldCop. So, SM was last seen (allegedly) on Thurs, 5/7. And BM reportedly called the Indiana contractor that had contracted with him on the Broomfield wall project on that same day, Thurs, 5/7 (I believe that info came from Lauren Scharf, in her investigation about the Broomfield wall project).

But, other than that phone call to the contractor on Thurs, 5/7, we don't know what BM was doing Thurs, 5/7 or Friday, 5/8. The closest we know is that MG reports that he was active at that riverfront site on Friday night, 5/8 and Saturday morning, 5/9.

I'm left with the impression BM likely had more time to work with than is generally accepted.

At this late late date, which would probably be impossible I wonder if LE FBI and CBI checked out an abduction? She could even be alive somewhere! Think Jamie Closs, her abductor outsmarted LE and the FBI.
I’m pretty sure that they have ruled out an abduction

If Suzanne showed up alive & well, it would be a shocking (wonderful) surprise. If she ended up being abducted- I would eat my hat & shoes, then give up my WS membership.

LOL. I can't even imagine why people would think he was looking for her helmet in the normal sized trash can right next to the main door of the store in front of the parking spaces. That speculation perplexed me. Even "if" someone threw a perfectly good bike helmet in the trash it would be grabbed in a heartbeat by the first person who saw it.
Just the fact hes in a trash can is weird !

Exactly! Not only wilderness but in the mountains with thin air. I was last in Colorado in 1958, basic training at Fort Carson. I was in great shape but going uphill was a lot of wheezing and marching downhill gave me shin splints. Trying to traverse forest land involved constant falls and sliding. That is why hunters follow mining roads and Jeep trails. For those of you doing the math, I am 82.
I only follow this case and thanks to COVID have spent 6-8 hours every day on this matter since about May 18, 2020.
I kept copious notes on legal tablets until recently when my wife convinced me to trash an 18” stack of them. I should have kept a database/cross reference on my computer but never imagined it would go on and on.

I have scanned the Colorado terrain, around Salida, using Google Earth. It has been helpful to me in getting a better understanding of the vast wilderness and uninhabited land that surrounds the area. There are so many places someone could hide a body, it is mind boggling. I am afraid the only way Suzanne may be found, if ever, is that a hiker will stumble on her remains by accident.

Wish I had, but no, I didn’t know her. “Suz” is one of my feeble ways of cutting out keystrokes.
I was always under the impression that on Webslueths they want you to use initials? No? jmo or rules?

I don't think it was ever confirmed that he was "going through" trash. I'd have to go back and read the employee's statement. I believe it was Nancy Grace who "implied" that he was going through trash but for me this is inconsequential whether he grabbed something to write on from the trash or he was "digging" in the trash can out front by the door. To me it wasn't particularly suspicious for someone including Barry to be asking stores if they had seen Suzanne 2 days after she disappeared. If anything that would be fairly "normal" behavior even if he turns out to be guilty and it was a "front" of what he perceived as normal behavior.

okay interesting yeah though the um
okay show here here's uh a guy
who goes to a supermarket and
uh he's outside uh we have firsthand
information that he's looking through a
trash can uh and he then knocks on the door of a
supermarket
and uh we have not shared this with
anybody yet till tonight
uh and this kid opens the door
and this individual turns and says
hey i'm looking for a baby blue bicycle
helmet anybody seen one in the trash out here
and the kid goes what and
then the clerk comes over and ends up
getting a note uh about a baby blue helmet
uh wife and uh bicycle clothes

What really stood out to me about that whole thing was, BM showed up there around 8pm ‘People don’t know the truth’: Suzanne Morphew’s husband breaks silence after three months | FOX21 News Colorado and was seen by the young employee digging through the trash can, when the store was actually closed. https://www.ponchamarket.com/ (they close at 6).

So, he wasn't there hoping to talk to folks and share info about SM.
He just used that excuse when he realized he was being watched.

I'm right there with you. I'm sure that she would be delighted to know that her husband has sold everything that hasn't been nailed down, though...

We all get posts removed from time to time and it’s usually just because we made a mistake. You don’t want to go into the world of crime discussions where every little bit of gossip and rumor are strung out ad nauseum. They can ruin people’s lives and interfere with investigations.
The terms here can be frustrating at times, but they sure do lead to intelligent and informed discussions based on facts not rumor.

Maybe not. Chris McDonough, mused there may be 'chain of custody' issues with some of the evidence in this case. If COC is lacking, key pieces may be tossed out in court, thereby compromising some aspects. It's an interesting possibility.

Oh no, i missed that. @Knox, when did Chris discuss that? I need to catch up.

I agree with you on this. I feel like her best friend would know if it really wasn’t Suzanne? There is no way my husband and we’ve been married for a really long time LOL, but he would not be able to pull off the type of texting I do with my close friends friends.
With that said though I’m still open to the fact that he could’ve killed her on Friday night. I really really think it was Saturday night but I could be wrong
Moo
Ita.
And LE also asked for people to save their ring doorbell camera or other security footage from the 8th.
That has always interested me !
Imo.

Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze - July 9, 2020 “Until we determine what happened to Suzanne, we can’t discount any scenario or formally eliminate anyone from suspicion.”

Are we confident that LE knows what happened?

Has anyone figured out what PE meant a few months back around the time of Andy’s search when they mentioned “5”? Even spoke into the camera directly at BM I believe, about the “5” while holding up their hand. They pushed that alot but I never heard if anyone figured out what they were referring to.

No, but I believe it was CM who said more than once, "we have not left the house (yet)." What did he mean by that?

What the sheriff said is 100% LE Speak. We, the sleuthing public, know that they, LE, can't really give any indication in a public message, which way the evidence is leading them, or even IF the evidence does lead a certain way. So until they have enough for an arrest warrant they have to use super generic language like this. And to be honest, I'm glad they do it this way. Keeping the integrity of the investigation tightly protected, and everyone else on a need-to-know basis until all the t's have been crossed and the i's dotted. And the warrant(s) issued.

In this case, I'm definitely confident in Sheriff Spezze's LE background, experience and dedication to the job - and to his community - 38 years worth About Sheriff John Spezze - Chaffee County Sheriff
As well as the expertise and professionalism of everyone from the FBI evidence recovery teams, the CBI, and every other local, state, federal, etc., team that's been involved in this case. These men and women know what they're doing and I do think 100%, we'll see justice for Suzanne.

Yes, but was it just that it was 2:30 when the texts stopped coming from her phone? It’s still possible that BM tried to impersonate her on Saturday morning if she actually died Friday night.
I’m still on the fence about whether SM died Friday night or Saturday. However, if it is proven that SM was definitely communicating with someone in some way, shape, or form until 2:30 on Saturday afternoon, then I think this may have been a premeditated murder. Why was BM such a wreck on Saturday morning at the waterfront job site with MG? Why did he break off work early? Why was he in town shopping? It was on Saturday afternoon that he bumped into JP in Salida and asked him if he was available to work the Broomfield job. Alibi set up?
I suppose he could have left work early on Saturday, went home and got into an argument and killed her then, but it doesn’t explain his behavior that morning. Why was he working at the job site Friday night? We all watched the FBI sift through dirt at the concrete slab at that site. Did we ever see them near or examining the “beach” area? Did LE dig up that concrete slab because his GPS led them there and they knew he did the prep work for that slab? Did BM get incredibly lucky? MOO

I never saw the tweet until I posted it here. I recall Andy saying she was communicating with her friend at 9 pm on 5/9. That was shortly changed to 8:30 am, 2:30 pm on Saturday, I think. Was Suzanne seen in Salida on Saturday afternoon? If she was, then she was still alive on Friday. I'm also on the fence.

BM's behavior on Saturday morning leads me to believe Suzanne was already dead. Infact, his behavior that entire weekend tells me he's good for it. JMO

I wish LE dug up the entire slab at the beach site. I wonder why they dug up just that small piece. Did cadaver dogs alert just at that one spot or did they not use dogs there at the concrete?

Yes, BM is incredibly lucky. So far.

You're making me think @OldCop! :)

In my opinion it very difficult to text like "someone else" with no immediate detection, so it will be interesting to see if the speculation about Barry texting on "behalf" of Suzanne becomes fact.
Not to mention, if BM was successfully impersonating Suzanne on Saturday morning, why would he suddenly stop? Surely he'd try to keep the impersonation going throughout Saturday so that his Sunday alibi actually meant something.
