Oh my bad..i just followed the link from the post chunky was replying to which simply took me to the recent comments from Toni's blog which were talking about the denver online article and more specifically the one detailed comment inder that article(the one which you posted i thought..lol i remember your spidey senses tingling..lol)..anyhow toni replied back to the person speaking of the lone wolf post under the denver article that toni appreciated her letting her know thats what the link posted in tonis comment section was actually to..with toni saying she had erased the comment with the link...

So thats why i posted referencing your post with the spidey link..lol..i quite obviously did not see the comments referencing a controversial forum..lol..someone please do share..lol

No problem SmoothOperator---I can clarify. The comment in question that was very contentious (imo) & not located on WS forum or Mom's blog about M. It was a Denver Post article that someone made a very unusual comment below it. Just to clarify, I didn't post the Denver Post link because those commenters don't have to abide by WS rules and I interpret them in a way that would've made me feel uncomfortable posting them, however others may have felt it okay or may have not read the comment that was very contentious below the Denver Post article. Regarding a poster on Mom's blog, they were just trying to give her a heads up about it I think or perhaps telling her to be more careful about putting up first and last names on her own blog of the people she suspected were involved. That's all.:seeya:

The ground rules:

Here are some ground rules for posting on this unique case:

1)no bashing of the family: THIS INCLUDES THE FORMAT OF THE BLOG
2)no sleuthing of the family
3)discuss the blog posts
4)do not copy and paste blog comments
5)no speculation on mental illness of the family or Morgan (there is nothing in the msm to back this up) If you want to discuss this - you will need links to MSM or LE reports.
6)use the alert button to communicate any posts that you have a question with
7)leave the snark and personal attacks at the door
8)NO sleuthing the parents' property..
9) use initials when posting any possible suspects. As far as sleuthing them yourselves we will stick only to what is in the msm or on the blog itself.

If you have questions or concerns - PM a mod and they will help.

Thanks,

Salem

"Elliott sent me back a text with all his contact information and reminded me if anything happens, and Morgan gets scared she can always call him, or come over to their house where he had showed me where they hide the front door key.* I don’t know why, but I was getting that really strange gut feeling that this somehow sounded wrong"

seems like so many people in that neighborhood are being lebeled as suspicious, as stalkers, as potential murderers... I thinkit is very wrong to accuse or insinuate people are/of such terrible things with no proof of any wrong doing at all.

new things often appear on the blog that seem to answer questions posed. I have grave concerns about the reality of a stalking and serious doubts of any for of murder. I consider myself a fair minded person so cannot get too far on board when only getting a biased accounting and nothing to back it up. I worry about accusing anyone of any crime with nothing to back up the accusations. I am willing to know more but wonder why none of the friends or other family members are making accusations and none of the neighbors noted any of these events.

Thank you for this post. You have distilled my thoughts over this whole thread to the essence. Well-written.

I feel like I'm waiting for the 'a-ha moment'.

Was Morgan bullied at school, namely Aspen High?

Thank you for writing this! Exactly what I was thinking

according to the newest blog post she was followed multiple times (well..a few at least)...and she was told to call 911 and keep driving so they could follow her and catch the person..I wonder if they ever caught the person or at least got a tag number (probably not though....)

I also don't understand why she did not get the color of the vehicle. If she tried loosing them it means she had to at least LOOK to see if they were gone right?

Don't quote me but I believe she was home schooled during most of her high school years....(and I make no judgements on if that is a good or bad thing, of course).

I wonder why they chose to home-school?

I'm going to guess that she may have had to miss quite a bit of school when she was 12 and had to be treated for whatever it was. Sometimes the treatment for a medical problem can make a person feel worse before they get better. They probably started homeschooling and found it to work out well for her.
That's just my best guess.

On the website she clearly states that Morgan went to Aspen high, then to community college where she got an AA degree. She was hoping to transfer to 4- year college, but was taking a little time off to get a yoga cert. and do ballet. I infer based on the wording that she wanted to teach yoga in case she needed to work through college.

Honestly, FB profiles can't help you judge a person's character. They can't. My best friend in the entire world is a major drug addict, she sells drugs, she takes drugs, she is nearly non-functional at this point. Her FB pictures show a gorgeous, beautiful, happy girl, dressed appropriately, arm in arm with her Ken-doll like husband, beaming with confidence, living the American Dream.

<modsnip>.

Like I said, it was JMO. I can see your point, but I, personally, think if someone portrays themselves as "bad" then it's a good chance they are, especially when there are pics of them smoking pot. If I see a clean-cut fb profile, I definitely don't assume they are "good".

Perhaps this is irrelevant, but since reading the blog, I've been thinking a lot about the musician Nick Drake, who died in 1974 as the result of an amitriptyline overdose.

His mother found him dead in his bed at home. He was 26. To this day, it's unclear whether his death was a suicide or just a tragic accident.*

Anyway, amitriptyline is less popular now than it was in the '70s for this very reason - it's way, way too easy to suffer a fatal overdose, whether intentional or unintentional.

*It's worth noting that Drake's sister has stated that at this point, she hopes that her brother committed suicide, because that would mean that he died intentionally, not by some awful mistake.

I mean no offense by any of this, just want to point out that there's DEFINITELY precedent for death by amitriptyline. Many "hip" people around Morgan's age are aware of Nick Drake's music - he's certainly much more popular now than he ever was while alive.

I am basing my comment that she was mostly home schooled on information posted on her SIL's social media *public* page. It seems her SIL resents the inaccuracy of people thinking she graduated from Aspen High--but I have to wonder who she should really be mad at? SIL said she was mostly home schooled. DYODD.

Bumping up the rules shortly. Self police your own posts if you think you broke the ground rules please.

Bumping up the rules. Please review.

I ran across this blog, and found it fascinating. You can spend hours reading her entries looking for leads or clues.

"One year ago today Morgan’s stalking started"

The family posts this on August 2nd.

Their daughter was stalked for 4 months, and in Dec of 2011 she died under mysterious circustances. There was no investigation.

The family has been posting events on the one year anniversary of the occurance each day leading up until her death.

So they will be posting every day until December.

Their site apparently is now getting over 40,000 hits a day as more and more people are reading about what they went through, and what little was done by police enforcement to catch the stalker and also to investigate her death.

The blog format is a bit conufusing. After each daily post, there is a separate comment section, and then also you scroll back up and hit 'next'
to read the next days post.

There are a months worth of posts now, and it seems there will be plenty to read in the coming weeks. They have been incredibly responsive to comments and also incredibly appreciative.

I'm curious to everybody's thoughts and insight on this.

May we discuss it?

I agree. If this was a stalking, and if it went down as described, including the tripping of the lights, the window tapping, the figure at the door, and all we have yet to find out, then I just don't see a group of kids doing it. They may be hunters, but they're also kids. I would imaging a lot of giggling and mocking, scrambling sounds, twigs breaking, the whole deal.

If this did happen as reported, it had to have been someone sophisticated in technique, someone trained in stealth, and someone equipped with the materials needed to pull it off, and most importantly, someone with the free time to devote so much time and effort night after night.

Mom posted a picture of a deer outside M's window the night she died. The cameras caught the deer, but not the killer? I'm inclined to think a large number of the incidents were from deer and other animals.

Finally, I am really going back and forth with this case. I can't form a solid opinion. Right now, however, I am having serious problems with the stalking issue for the following reasons:
1. Despite mom's contentions, LE stated they found no evidence of stalking that supported the family's statements. (That they opened an investigation into the felony of stalking does not mean there was evidence other than the family's statements).
2. In 50 calls, no stalker was ever seen by police or caught.
3. Despite motion detectors and cameras, no stalker was ever identified or caught.
4. Despite having dogs in the house, a stalker was able to break in, supposedly, on a few occasions, including the night Morgan died.
5. The stalker was supposedly able to approach the camera and break it, without being recorded at all.
6. No neighbor has been reported to have seen anyone lurking in the neighborhood or around the Ingram's home.
7. Morgan was followed by the stalkert in a vehcile, in braod daylight and though she was close enough to determine there were two people in the car, and the car whizzed past her when she was stationary, she could not identify the people in it or even the make or color of the car!

I do know that some of these are quite possible. But all of them? I mean, how lucky does one creep have to be?

I just don't know what to think here. I think the mom is sincere but that may not be enough to prove something occurred in the way she feels it did.

On the other hand, she claims to have seen footprints, heard loud banging and to have seen one of the suspects running from the house. And, the keylock and the camera were broken by someone.

I don't know what to think![/QUOTE]

Agreeing with all of that, and adding:

All of those rocks thrown at various windows, yet none of them cracked or broke? The only broken things I've read about are the two locks and the cracked gutter.

I would also like to know how many pictures of local wildlife that "hunter cam" took. I saw the baby deer pic from the day M was found, were there others?

I am so :fence: here, trying to figure out if this was, in fact, a stalking that led to murder, or some sort of mass hysteria that led to an accidental or purposeful overdose. I just don't know, and I feel so awful for not automatically believing the former, because I feel for this family.

It's just wait and see and read for now. I would really like to get another person's perspective, who was there, who was "suspicious".

JMO and I swear, no victim bashing here, as I am so sad for them.

^^^ I haven't figured out how to quote portions of posts yet, so I hope y'all can figure it out, and maybe tell me how to do it *blush*
