OK, this is REALLY odd. I was looking at the image of the neighborhood on Google Earth and 2 doors down, in the back yard, the letters PUTU are mowed into the lawn. I noticed a new feature on Google earth where you can look at a historical view of the same location, and that's when I noticed the date of the image, 09/23/2011. The same time as the reported stalking. I've been trying to figure out what the letters mean and why they were there, and most importantly, who lived in that house at the time. PUTU . . . P-U To You? Don't know if this means anything at all, but I did find it odd that the image date was 2 months into the stalking reports. Does anyone else see that image?

Yes and it was discussed in comments on the blog. It is very strange to me. You can also see a trail in the berm behind their house in that google image and that is the trail the family believes was left by a persistent stalker as he or she cased their home.

They also state that the berm was totally mowed down one day, even though in the entire time they had lived there, it had never been mowed (decades?) and that after the mowing, one couldn't see the trails.

There is a curse word in spanish that's very close to PUTU...change the last U into an A or an O, and then look it up on google...not pretty. And yes, I saw it and noted the date and am interested in what happened before that (which is still to come, I'd guess), but have kept the comments to myself...I do think it's deliberate...but I am not sure at whom the writing is directed. LOL...

IIRC, that house is the house where K and B lived during the stalking...

Are you sure? That is very significant to me if correct. I saw PILI, though. Or something similar. Either way, it would be an extreme coincidence that people accused of stalking would mow letters into their backyard like that. What for? Why at that time?

My main issue with this case is that LE stated they had no evidence of stalking (cannot find the article ANYWHERE though it came up on multiple occasions of googling M before this thread and national attention of this case took off, which in the context of this case is now causing me more concern), yet LE had to have had enough evidence/information to classify this case as felony stalking. Mom states on more than one occasion that the case was upgraded to felony stalking, so what needs to take place for that to occur? My point with this post is that it cannot be both ways. Either their was no evidence of stalking, which means that the case would not have been classified as such (AFAIK), or LE does have evidence of stalking but not enough to name anyone as the perp (or just want the case closed). The only other explanation is that the stalking never occurred (but why would LE classify it as felony stalking if it never occurred), or mom is lying about it being upgraded to a felony stalking case. I have no reason to believe that mom would lie about this being classified as a felony stalking case, nor do I believe that LE would classify it as such without solid evidence. Is there a cover-up of some sort?? I am just so confused about this particular issue. According to the blog, the case has not yet (this time last year) been classified as felony stalking, but apparently at some point does. This says to me that there has to be solid proof of stalking taking place before it is classified as stalking....meaning that you can't just say you're being stalked and give reasons that can be easily explained.

Yes, Mom states that, but in Colorado ALL stalking is considered a felony, so maybe she meant upgrade it from harassment to stalking. As for solid proof, that's subjective. They might have considered the family's account as proof enough. But Mom hints that there is a certain event that's the tipping point, so we have to wait and see.

I saw on a video interview that Morgan was actually followed in her car. If so, it seems she would have a better idea of who the stalker was, depending. I am eager to see what else there is. In my opinion, even the most stunning stalker is going to slip up at some point if they continue on for long periods. I want to see what other evidence the Ingrams have.

Id said in thread 1 that id like to know more about the 1st house on the left and the houses on the right as you enter the street,especially the one with something cut into the grass.
I brought this up after the stalker pic and looking at the direction he was travelling..

Just an observation but the roof layout of m's house and K and B's house is identical (mirror image).Perhaps they had an identical floor plan enabling K to know exactly what room was where and perhaps to even practice on the roof and figure out just how much noise he would make walking around on M's roof.

After looking at some of the photos and blogs, 'just wanted to mention what a beautiful, creative young woman M was. IMO, it is so heartbreaking to see a life snuffed so young with so much to offer and share.

I believe her mom blogged somewhere that while M was in 2nd grade, she tested out reading at the college level. Wow---I didn't know that was possible!

I feel so sad for this family. I believe the moms instincts are right on. I can see how some believe it could be hard to believe. But the more we know about Morgan, I just don't see it possible being suicide. I also read she didn't like taking medicine? She does seem like a wellness girl, who would go a more natural root, hence her homemade face creams.

Did we ever hear about the the conversation the dad had with Morgan that night?

I wouldn't be surprise. All the homes look the same. Which takes place a lot when a community like this is built but by the same company.

The home is a ranch style right? Do we know the size? It seems that if the stalker was on the roof he could easily find her room. She has been in that home since she was a child, right???

Nursie, I have a question. I don't understand why we can't sleuth the family. THEY chose to go public, made a blog, and invited comments. Shouldn't they be just as fair game as the Alphabets triplets down the road, who haven't had any say at all?

I mean no disrespect to the family, but there are several points that are glaring at us and we can't discuss them out of fear of offending the family. I think if we were allowed to hash out those issues, perhaps even with their input, we can either lay some of those issues to rest, or find valid points.

I think there can be a happy medium, one where we can bring up issues, inconsistencies and even speculation, as long as it's done respectfully. After all, that whole family will have to deal with worse if this does turn in to a full blown investigation, especially since they've accused LE of incompetence.

Not fully caught up so this may have already been said, as far as the failed stake out is concerned.

If the stalker(s) was one of the friends they probably knew in advance when the stake out would be. If the stalker(s) lived in the neighborhood, or were very familiar with it as most stalkers make themselves, the stalker would have noticed any unfamiliar car(s) of people and held back that night.

For the ones that may not know! There is a media thread on here about this case. It has timelines, photos, and maps of the neighborhood. And it also has all the MSM articles that have been posted on this case. It's a no discussion thread, but it's very helpful if you need to go back and find something quick.

My understanding of he talk was that Morgan kept telling her father she was " done". Her father came to bed crying.

Also re: pills I believe there were 3 pill bottles in the house. 2 with 50 pills and 1 with 12.

I found out how to search in the old archives of the local newspaper. They list all the calls and LE movements in the city.

If you want to search in the archives, just enter you time frame and I always entered the "carbondale" in the search. It gives you all the articles posted in that time frame, but it also gives you the 2 police depts and where/what they responded to in Carbondale.

Interesting from the blog about other stalking incidents. In my experience (only moo) if the stalking is from a creepy "romantic/sexual/control" perp, there will be several others on perp's list simultaneously. In other words, you are not the only one being stalked. It is as if the perp's part time job more or less to stalk. This can and does turn into aggression very rapidly and unexpectedly. I'll see if I can find harmony's link again from yesterday and bring it back.

Werent there vacant homes in Morgans neighborhood in forclosure? Maybe the stalker was living in one of them.
