Can someone post what amounts Of amitriptyline were present in Morgans blood that was tested within 5 hours of her passing
Going from memory here, but it was just over 7900 for the ami, and something along the lines of 2900 for the nortrip (the active metabolite of ami). The units described were in nanograms, not milligrams.

Hope that helps.

Thanks to AToH and 21M7 on the point of stretching theories and suggestions to the limits in our search for answers. I say this with the greatest of respect for the feelings of the Ingrams, but certain scenarios put forward get so convoluted and involved it's hard to see the wood for the trees. Right now, for me at least, it's hard to compute that not only is the stalker some kind of super-stealth operative able to walk silently at will through locked doors and windows without disturbing a hyper-aware family but he's also a super-techno wiz able to clone and hack phones and install listening devices, a skilled pharmacologist with access to unlimited quantities and varieties of drugs and an adept medical practitioner able to deliver those drugs by force or stealth without leaving a mark. I'm a great believer that often the simplest explanations provide the answers we're looking for.

I think it was 7900 for ami and that was from peripheral blood. I'll look it up and link it.

Well, despite years of science classes, I am totally over my head with the drug stuff- so I will leave the hard questions to other posters.

So, are we thinking that the drugs were most likely either
-injected
-ingested liquid form

If that is the case, how much needed to be ingested if it was liquid form? Are we talking a couple of milliliters?

Did Morgan have her own bathroom with medicine cabinet? Were any bottles/cups around that were just Morgan's that night? I am wondering if someone spiked cough medicine or a bottle of tea or something.
Herding Cats mentioned that it is supposed to be very badly flavored...I wonder if anything strong (coffee, cold medicine) would disguise it. Obviously it would be something that only Morgan would have had access to.

I am leaning towards injection. I think it could be done very swiftly before a struggle would take place. Whereas forcing someone to drink would take time to grab victim, then struggle> noise producing. Plus there would be evidence of food/drink in her stomach, right??

Also, Morgan's father stated that he and his wife adjusted the cameras multiple times over the course of the stalking. So that leads me to believe that the cameras weren't covering the entirety of the perimeter...otherwise why keep adjusting them?
It must be that they still had indications of stalking yet were only getting blurs or missing the stalker entirely. I suppose we will hear more about this later.

If there are no other images of an unidentified person on the surveillance than Id go thru it all again and note who is on there I know. Possibly someone who knew the family and frequented them they trusted could be the perp. Its the only thing that makes sense altho may be hard for them to believe.

I'm finding all this drug talk fascinating, loving the experts here bouncing ideas and questions off each other.
snipped for emphasis.
This reminds me :)

If Morgan took the drugs would she have had time to put everything away and go to bed before it kicked in? If it were a syringe it should be in the trash regardless. Orally, there probably would have been a glass in the sink perhaps where she mixed it in a drink to get it down.

Yep, she did. Like I said, I should know better than to post before my first cuppa. LOL. Thanks for catching that; I've corrected my post (and am hanging my head in shame. LOL).

Oh please, no shame. It's just luck that I remembered 7900 and did the blog search, with no coffee yet. ;) :D The blog actually said 7,900 (note the comma) and I went thru an "am I crazy? I know I read that" kerfluzzle...

.0079 milligrams is what was found in blood?does that sound right?..i must be missing something about how it breaks down from huge milligrams to such a minute amount .0079 milligrams?

Does anyone know the street name for ami? I did some searching, and got a bunch of names associated with Ecstacy...but I don't think X is the same thing at all.

Good morning all...here's hoping we have a productive day for the Ingrams!

Yes, the street name for Amitriptyline is Elavil (from a quick random google search).

See, that's what happens before my first cuppa coffee. Thanks, Jbean. I've corrected my post. I meant 7900, have no clue how the 7 turned into a 2. LOL.

I actually thought "7" is not even close to a "2" on most keyboards (rite hand, left hand, not even if a one-finger typer)...and then I remembered that we all are just humans, me included. Most of us, anyway. ;)

I wonder if we will find out later as the story progresses that a hand or just the camera was moved therefore the I's had to readjust the camera angles because that perp was moving them.

I did a search the other day and found a LOT of links with people asking if that drug is suitable for "recreational" use. There are loads of links with people wanting to know if you can get "high" and what the "high/buzz" is like for whatever drug. :( Sadly, I think there are a lot of young people (older ones, too) who experiment or for whatever reason, underestimate the danger of drugs, even prescription drugs (just a general observation and opinion, definitely not implying anything about Morgan).

He had to enter the property to get to the cams tho. He should be on there unless he had some long arms or the dude is showing on the property but they know him and never thought anything about it.

Yes. I was researching dog meds this morning. Mainly tramadol and rimadyl that my dogs have. My hubby also has tramadol. There were many questions wondering if they (the human) could take the dog's meds.:what: Especially the rimadyl. All I kept thinking about was those big, chewable, liver-flavored tablets that my dogs have.:floorlaugh:
