Conrad Murray Trial - Day Twenty One

  • #221
White isn't into pharmacokinetics. It's one place Shafer has him one-upped. Apparently, Flannagan dug someone up at the last minute to do the graphs. I wonder if Walgren will mention the +-50% on the results.

If Shafer is called back on rebuttal, I'm thinking he would be asked to do those calculations himself to see what he came up with.

From what I heard on HLN, the jury has pretty much given up on taking notes on the cross. Is it that they are surprised at White's testimony or they are tired of the topic?

Probably because of Dr. White's half-answers and evasiveness. In contrast, Dr. Shafer happily answered every question directly and clearly under cross-examination. Dr. White's roundabout testimony doesn't lend itself to good note-taking.

Puh-leeeeze.

Yes or no.

Black or white.

On or off.

Up or down.

Can he not deal with a simple binary condition? :banghead:

Hopefully, it's because they've already made up their minds & maybe because this topic isn't relevent to MJ's death.

IMO, Walgren has shown that Dr White lies, changes his testimony, isn't very credible, & throws inappropriate comments into his answers.

If so, why take notes?

ETA: Sorry for the double-post.

These are the graphs his assistant made and he brought to court with the defense. Walgren just asked him if he could take any credit in making these graphs or doing the simulation. Witness got a deer caught in the headlights look.

These are not Dr. Shaffer's graphs.

I know the graphs are from an alleged expert in pharmacokinetics that Flanagan introduced to him, but how can he testify to them when apparently he doesn't even understand them?

I am totally lost now..........

Don't feel bad. So is Dr. White.

Raise your hand if you want Walgren to be your new doctor!!:seeya:

I believe that is exactly what Walgren is pointing out, over and over. He has said "that you testified to" many times now. Pointing this fact out. Hopefully the jury caught it too.

I've been at the ironing board listening and watching. Gread comments, everyone! Now, he's getting a taste of his own articles. Gotta love it.

Yes! This is a great example of "Garbage in, garbage out," with White's direct testimony being the GI part.... And now McSteamy is trying to deal with the GO that's all over the floor of the courtroom.

Relentless. What goes around, comes around.

Just swimming in it. Mmmmm. Bad.

White seems to be having trouble with the 122 hearbeats weak and thready. NOW, he doesn't believe Conrad Murray? :banghead:

Says that it could be Murray feeling his own weak and thready pulse?

BINGO!

The only conclusion I can come up with re: White's testimony is that he is NOT testifying based on the science but on Dr. Murray's conversation with him period. I usually am pretty good at following this stuff - but I don't think he knows what he is talking about and that is why I am confused. He even admitted he did not analyze the data . because he is not a pharmacokinetist.

On with the rebuttal -- I am sick of this guy.

Thank you for saying that because that is exactly what is is. Garbage in; garbage out!!

BINGO!

I bet CM's pulse was about 166 beats per minute when he found that he had killed Michael Jackson, the King of Pop!

  • #234
Dr. White is now trying to say that CM was feeling his own pulse, not MJ's, because if he was feeling MJ's pulse, that doesn't square with Dr. White's testimony that MJ died instantly.

I'd like him for my atty when I need one....

but I'd play doctor with him any day!

The Lorazepam graph that Dr. White testified to has some problems. The original gastric content number .0013 is incorrect, Dr. White has no idea where it came from. The femoral blood level is also incorrect and Dr. White has no idea of its origin.

The graph also assumes 10mg per day prior to June 25th, Dr. White acknowledges is a guess/assumption.

  • #237
The model witness testified to about Lorazapam, witness does not know where the numbers came from.

Witness sounds pretty humble right now.

Judge looks like he is just done with this.

Witness: Well she did the simulation so you could take into account he was taking Lorazapam on the day of his death.

This is laughable. Defense hung their case on this crap.

Dr. Arnalas graphs are going down, down, down... White can't explain them and need to talk to Dr. Arnalas. I love When Walgren said he could do so if Mr. Flannagan said he should. This is disgraceful.

  • #239
"...the time Mr. Jackson was found dead". Hmm, his version seems contrary to what CM was saying and doing on 6/25/09.

  • #240
Poor pathetic Dr White. Walgren just called him Dr Shafer for the 2nd or 3rd time.

I think everyone wishes it were Dr Shafer up there doing the explaining.
