IMO the airborne aspect speaks to being in close contact as somebody coughs/sneezes in your immediate space. Based on science I have followed.

Is the stay in place order defined as stay inside? It seems like that would be too restrictive if so.
I have plenty of friends who are out biking, walking, hiking. They do it alone of course. My oldest went up the river and went fossiling. Yesterday she timed her self walking over the big local bridge and back. Getting out and doing something is healthy as long as you’re not congregating.
I’m dumbfounded that people are still going to the beach here in FL. The electronic signs on I-75 even say the beaches are closed.

I was hoping this would be seasonal at first, but honestly maybe it’s better if it’s not? Maybe it’s better if it continues into the summer and we are able to combat it in a continuous timeline (and kick it’s butt!) instead of it disappearing over the summer and we just wait for it to return? I don’t really know.

Welcome Maryland! There are 27 other States that enacted the "stay-at-home" order. This is my 11th day, at least 30 more to go.

I thought beaches in Florida were closed?!? Are they not under a stay at home order like the other 28 States??

Yes, we are.
We have our first positive case today. That means we have 100s of unknown cases.
Our local physicians have tested about 20 total. They've been great to give news interviews and help prepare us.
Were are small town, hit by job loss due to NAFTA. Most had to start new careers. This is a blessing.

Some of us aren't really sure how this is any different from before. We were already being urged to stay at home and only go out for essential grocery/medical needs/supplies, non-essential businesses and schools were already closed, etc. ...

My parents' beach in Siesta Key (Sarasota) isn't...
The Navy ship Comfort has 1,000 beds,12 operating rooms, 1,200 doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists, x-ray technicians, orderlies, and other medical staff.
The President describe it as "a 70,000 ton of hope and solidarity."

Sounds like the same policy they re-enacted in NJ/NY the other day. Nothing changed.

I don't know which would be better, either. I was hoping it would die down during summer so people on front lines could recharge and hopefully by fall, we would have a vaccination or something that would combat it!
Saw this posted earlier. Don't try this at home.

The ship will house non-coronavirus patients from hospitals around the NYC area in order to free up hospital space for those that are sick from the virus.

Yes, of course it was... I remain eager to hear what is going on and where it is going on....it helps put so many things in perspective. Vigilante group in Maine, dozens of cruise ships all over the coast of Florida (just found this out today!) and blissfully rejecting directions in rural states is going to influence us all. In the end...we are ONE country, and I hope we can convince larger folks in minimally populated areas to realize this.
