Not a stupid question at all!
It is MOO, that the state sees the futile attempt at Cross exam by JS as rehashing and repeating the same testimony during the states direct. JS just pushes the repeat button...over and over. I imagine it is not lost on the jury also. The judge certainly called his cross the "Ground has been plowed". The state will object to harmful cross and obvious sly techniques, but will otherwise let him go and continue 'plowing'. The state is watching him sink his own ship.

MOO
Not to mention the numerous time the Judge said this is a waste of time.

Where the heck was PG during "Lunch" on the 24th?? LOL......JS seemed to be poking him...like they know he was somewhere he should not have been (but its totally unrelated to this case) - anyone else get that vibe? Terrible way to get "caught" doing something you should not be doing....I dunno - thats the vibe I got.

I missed most of this afternoon but it sounds like all of the rest JS's crosses this whole trial - he just rehashes the State. I believe he thought he had a gotcha when he said PG never paid for the DIRT BIKE. Feels like it backfired - PG did the transaction pretty much with Dulos -
MT claimed to never see the money - and we all know how truthful she is
Why not put Michelle on the stand to talk about it ? Guess he won't open that door
Sorry JS you should have not mentioned that IMO -you made your client look bad
Just IMO
And JS thought he made a big win with portraying PG as a lying lawbreaker, saying it’s not a dirt bike, it’s a “moto-cross” motorcycle - unregistered!

So funny…

Imo defence was operating with a deficit of credibility and this just flushed them down the sewer drain on Albany!

How could such a stupid mistake be made over a $1500 item and direct tie to client integrity and honesty.

Defence should have never brought this up but state should have brought it up first to show what MT did!

State probably figured it wasn’t worth it. But they clearly had the receipts. Kudos to Mcguinnis.

Grifters are going to grift.

I do wonder if the Police officer at Farmington was KM best buddy? That would be icing on this cupcake of a total face plant by Defence Counsel!

I’m shook that today we effectively heard MT testify and it was to steal a $1500 dirt bike from someone who she knew paid for it.

Being a curious type of person, I do wonder if FD gave the PG cash to MT? And did MT return the bike FD bought her to the Dulos estate? Or, did she double dip and kept that dirt bike too?

Case closed.

MOO
I’m responding to myself on this on.

The way this was described in court, “esteemed defence counsel” went with MT to the parking lot where PG delivered the dirt bike it seems.

Did he not check out his clients story about the payment for the bike? What good atty would participate in supporting a grift by their client? Honestly, MT was horrible here but having her atty add his “bark and bite” to the threats to PG is horrible too!

IDK this seems like Defence Counsel participated in a strong arming of PG to return the bike that he paid for to PG imo!

Where was Atty Urso?

If the State has the texts between FD and PG they should give them to atty urso and PG and they should try to get the bike back WIth its title or compensation for the loss of the bike.

What a scam!

What a day!

I hope “esteemed defence counsel” finds his notebook so there aren’t too many days like today.

In honour of making it through trial today I just saw the below item on social media that I wanted to share but with amendment to state 4 years and not 3 years!
That’s a photo of JS jumping the Jefferson Crossing cul-de-sac

He said he called his attorney about it. My guess is he didn't have a bill of sale and since he didn't have the title, it was her word against his. And he didn't know about her interview where she said she sold him the bike.

So many things bothered me today. But the biggest thing was when JS kept hammering away at his internet searches after JFd disappeared.
He kept trying to infer that PG was concerned about HIS implication in the crime. Not that he was just searching for answers like all of us.
How dare he do this to this solid citizen who never wanted to be dragged into this dreadful saga.
Shame on him.
Try as he might to rattle his testimony today, he failed miserably.
He was up against a man of conscience.
A new, upstanding American citizen.Kudos to PG.

I was thinking that MT still owed money in it, and never paid it off so she couldn’t transfer title til she was full owner. If there had been no murder, then it would have eventually been sorted (or else MT claim it stolen or some other grift with PG unaware). Or PG just an easy sale and FD probably hiked the price on it too …

In the end, she was broke, no place to live and legal bills and she still owed on the bike …. Though I still wonder if the dirt bike was part of a version of the Gone Girl strategy at some point …

Another screw up by the defense was showing the photo of PG with a shaved head, just like Dulos.
I was looking for a 2019 side by side of these 2 for comparison but couldn’t find a PG, and lucky we got a circa 2019 JG today

Maybe....Jon Shoehorn just 'bought' himself a new Moto-bike, as 'payment' for his services to defend MT. Maybe....JS is secretly riding the trails in CT, stones and all....

If anyone I knew, went missing, I would be googling all day. Esp a mom of 5, whose X was my employer! If he didn’t google, that would be a worry because it meant he knew where she was ….

JS made me so angry today. I needed the last hour to decompress.

His inane narrative -- suggesting PG was suddenly trying to sell his truck, had no alibi for the afternoon of 5/24, was searching for information any the investigation and looking to flee the country. Farcical.

State refuted each point with ease.

I need someone to pair JS's spectacular paper shuffling with a funeral dirge.

I am so done with him.

I can say this --- he is well suited to his client.

And that's not saying much.

Yes, that is what I figured. Also, FD didnt have right to sell bike as it belonged to MT. But if PG had texts and proof of cash withdrawal etc he might have been able to keep bike or get money back from the broke socialite grifter.

But, I am incensed that Defence Counsel actually went with his client on the strong arm missing to get the bike and didn’t check out the facts.

What a total putz….to act without all the information.

Hard to tell really, but from testimony and evidence IMO defendant did not seem credible on the dirt bike. Also IMO $1500 (amount PG said he and FD agreed to, from earlier proposal of $1800 by FD) might be reasonable. But it depends on the make and year. I thought I heard it was a Honda and also thought I heard Yamaha. So that is also unclear and might affect value too. Appears to be -250 cc but I could be wrong, maybe smaller or larger.

One thing is clear….. at one point recently it was in PG‘s possession, so that speaks much in terms of who had it or owned it at that time. Seems defendant and FD slow walked presenting the title for it to the ‘buyer’. Probably best that PG did simply return it; but I am hoping he is not out the monies to FD / MT. MOO

Did the family weigh in at the end of the day?

I liked how McGuinness handled his re-direct. Short, to the point knocking all those insinuations one by one that JS tried and failed on his cross. He kept it short and to the point so JS couldn’t come back with more on his re-cross.

McGuinness knew that PG had enough and wanted to get him off the stand.

Correct, and maybe FD didn’t have the full authority or ownership to deal on it - but let’s not forget that at some point FD and/or MT ‘gave’ the bike to PG. That IMO speaks volumes as to who had it and the supposed sale. And I thought I heard some testimony yesterday or somewhere recently that maybe some of PG wages were taken for payment / partial payment? MOO
