No. I was merely wondering if she is a witness for the prosecution or the defence. And my other thought was that the defence would love what she has to say.

Yeah I wondered the same as you and one for the def team to tick. I am sure a lot of people will be called saying similar as that looks like the way Gerard wants to try to get out of it.

Like its not bad enough that he killed her but wants to make out she killed herself and left her darling little girls without a mother when it was HIM.

Why have we still not heard anything about the identification of the woman who approached GBC in anger earlier? Surely one of the journos would have taken the trouble to approach her or find out who she is?

Ali or somneone . Is it possible that if the magistrate hears enough to send GBC to to trial he can in effect say " I've heard enough " and cut the hearing short or do all witnesses have to be heard . In other words can the magistrate rule when he is certain GBC should be tried , without going the 6 days

The magistrate will hear out the whole of the prosecutions case.

Constable's statement was drafted 3 weeks after the event. He was 1 of 2 officers first attending house April 20. @abcnews #BadenClay

Three WEEKS after the event?? Somehow I knew Qld Police would eff this up.

Some parts of Const. Kieron Ash statement come from recollections of conversations with Gerard #BadenClay not in his notebook. @abcnews

And yet he drafted his statement 3 weeks later...That's quite a long gap to remember specific words. Wasn't he the one who quoted that apparently damning statement about what the children were told that none of us could quite believe?

Witnesses are asked by police to give statements on what they know, regardless of if it supports the police case or not. Some witnesses would say things that support one side or other or even a bit of both. It is important they tell the truth then it is up to the prosecution to use what they can to prove their case ultimately before a jury. The defence will use what they can to cast doubt on the prosecutions case.

I don't know. If I was a judge, the screams heard from various people would be enough for me to call a trial. It's only half way through Day 2, lets not get too dejected yet.

All these witnesses that heard the 'blood curling' screams and did nothing about it. It's such a shame, and one I bet they wish they did something about every day of their life. (Much with the witnesses of Daniel Morcombe)

I have mentioned before, but I regret not stopping at the bridge after my feeling and looking. Allison could have been found days earlier.

I could only imagine how regretful they feel about not calling the police :(

Constable Kieron Ash said #BadenClay told him Allison was very angry and didn't trust him because of his affair. @9NewsBrisbane

Not Effed up yet . He is only one of many and sure the prosecution has plenty of good stuff . Is it just me or do others think we have heard enough that the magistrate would be thinking there are so many inconsistinces in what gbc has said and done that he should at least stand trial.

I'd also be interested in knowing if the interior car light was adjusted to OFF (when the doors are opened) when the police inspected the car on the morning.

I doubt he would have left them on if he was about to move Allison's body.

I know sometimes when I turn the interior light off (for reasons other than moving a body) I often forget to turn it back on.

Although that may have been three weeks after the call-out, it was only 10 days after Allison had been found and the case turned into a murder case.

But I agree that the statement should have been prepared earlier. Like later that same morning....
