My favorite, "But that was an old conversation" lie. Let's not forget that the Medical Board were quoted as saying they had no reports. In fact, they were vehement about it.
Delaware needs to do a little shake up with that "Society", IMO.
Unfortunately it isn't just Delaware IMO. The medical society is made up of doctors, doctors who fear being charged with malpractice or inappropriate behavior with their own patients (even if they hadn't done anything wrong). So they will bend over backward to avoid holding another responsible, just in case they might be wrong.
But in the case of molestation, that is a criminal act, and one they are required to report which would give them more evidence for or against the doctor. So failing to report it is especially heinous as well as illegal for themselves. Since they failed to report the allegations could they be held responsible as an accessory, as they in effect covered for the doctor by failing to report?
