With Florida's new laws in place for cracking down on the pain mgmt. clinics (which imo should be mandatory for all states) within the next 10 yrs. or so I see the man. min. sentences for drug trafficking to be re-done with less time and a lot of sentences commuted, including Misty's.

It sounds selfish, but this reminds me of how happy I had been to have forgotten about these people.

At least (Casey Anthony's defense attorney) Jose Baez keeps coming up with things for us to laugh about. Can't wait to see him at her trial. I hear he's going to try to juggle two cats and a bowling ball.

I, too, believe all the players' sentences will be commuted at some point. I do not think any of them will actually serve their minimums. Hopefully, all will be treated equally in that regard, and hopefully they will still be subjected to the 85% rule.

While I am glad that all these players are in jail and off the streets, to me there is no justice for Haleigh as these players wake up everyday and can tell themselves they are in jail for drugs.

While I can understand the reasons behind Misty's sentence, this is still a letdown for me.

Maybe what LE should do now is put their money where their mouth is and charge Misty for all the inconsistencies and lies they have alleged she has told.

How about it, LE? Misty's the key, Misty's witholding evidence, Misty knows more than she is telling, blah, blah, blah. Is there evidence to back it up? If so, charge her with giving false statements, and charge her with obstruction of an investigation. Then all the details of the investigation can be released to the public, and maybe somewhere, someone will actually have a conscience to get a little guilty and give you some new info, or get someone to talk. It may not help, but at this point, can it really hurt anything anymore?

I agree, if there is evidence to charge anyone, do it. And do it sooner rather than later, before the statute of limitations runs out. The only potential charge without a statute of limitations is murder. Other charges such as obstruction, etc., will not remain available forever.

Did they all have the same prosecutor? And if so, I don't see Misty getting this loophole, as her crimes did take place over 2 counties.

You're right. I am so disgusted. There has been no evidence reported...after all that has happened for 2 whole years, all the money spent, man hours spent by those working to give Haleigh some justice, fussing and fighting by family members, obvious lies and cover-ups, very little, if any evidence mentioned by LE, no arrests, nothing! That tells me everything I need to know about Putnam Co. and what they think of justice. Makes me sick!

Even though in the past I have had some negative thoughts about Fields I do agree with him on this.

He is correct, Haleigh's demise is a sad matter that is still unresolved, just like the events surrounding Jon Benet's death. At least she has a proper resting place. I am not convinced Haleigh is no longer among the living. In a way I hope she is but not if she is being tortured every day by her captor. I can't let go of the theory she was traded for drugs or a drug debt like Shaniya Davis and Ron and Misty are aware of it.

I want to see what happens next, with Tommy. no way, is he gonna do his time quietly, & since LE had the nerve to call him & him alone a suspect, what next? And I'm hoping no one forgets about it or allows LE to forget about it...It no longers even matters to me IF LE in Putnam county is stupid as HELL, totally enept or corrupt as HELL... Haleigh deserves for the TRUTH to be revealed...JMHO

This is off topic somewhat but I am posting it here because it came about on tonights JVM show when Chelsea appeared by phone.

Chelsea was asked how she felt about Misty's sentencing today, and she said she is very happy that things went well for Misty. She was still on the line while AH was talking, and he mentioned that JO has stated he stayed at TC/CC's home that night, and that it was them that had driven the van that night.

JVM went back to Chelsea for comment about JO's claim, and Chelsea totally evaded the question. She came out with something about having passed the LDT and how nothing would make her happier than Haleigh being found. But never actually addressed JVM's question about JO's claim that he was not the one who drove the van--TC and CC were.

Now, this could have been jumbled a bit on Chelsea's end since she was on the phone and may not have heard the question properly. But as it played, Chelsea sounded evasive to me.

How sad that we will never know what happened to this child, and that she will never get justice. I can only hope that Haleigh has forgiven those who harmed her as well as those who failed to protect her.
