Where did I insult anyone? Just merely stated a fact; Ashton co-authored his book. Seeing how quickly after the trial the book was finished, I, as a tax paying Floridian, am glad he had had some one co-author it. My mind is at ease that he didn't devote trial time to guaranteeing him future income, that he was devoted 100% to getting Casey Anthony convicted. By the way, how did that work out for him?

LOL, it's working out far better for Jeff than it is for FCA. Jeff can go out in public without wearing a disquise, Jeff has money, Jeff is admired, Jeff has a successful career and most importantly Jeff wanted justice for CAYLEE. Name one person on the DT team that gave one rat's arse about Caylee?

I cannot wait for this . . . I think Mason's running down a rabbit hole & should retire NOW. He should leave his profession with a little credibility (IMHO, of course)

I doubt Perry will do the right thing (why start now?) if he has any say in the matter.

... just my humble opinion here, but...

keep your eyes and ears open peeps - this smells like the DTs patented "look over there!" distraction technique. Wonder what's brewin'?
Yep, right there with you...something's coming...just a nagging feeling I have.

If I'm reading #2 of the motion correctly, it doesn't sound like FCA or her DT has a hope in the hot place of winning this motion.

I love this. Christmas has arrived.
They are squirming, and the question is why?

My gut is that it is about money.

Do the Dr.'s depos contradrict EXACTLY what Cheney is trying to sell in his book and the interview FCA is shopping around?

Could the the publishers be yelling and screaming after paying out a hefty fee up front? Is this a credibility thing on CM's part?

So many questions, but IMO it is ALL about the money.

I SO have to agree on that... :seeya:

He never should have said he did not read JA's book. I can see him opening his mailbox on Saturday and 20 of JA's books falling out. Merry Christmas. lol

Maybe OCA is Offender Casey Anthony, since she has been convicted of some criminal offenses

Really enjoying the comments on this thread!

Yes, that is "meaning" I use when I type OCA... :seeya:

It's too bad Chief Judge Belvin Perry won't be able to give us all a very Merry Christmas present by forcing Ashton to explain his unethical behavior using info that was sealed by deciding this before the 25th. Imagine how up in arms every one would be if JB had written a "tell all" book using that information. As far as CM writing a book, when and if he does, it will be written by him, not co-authored.

Nothing wrong with what he did. Nice try though. Do you like defending Casey or something?

Anthony's defense says Ashton violated the court's order "strictly for profit."

I know that there was a motion for the DT not to profit from the case, but all parties ? don't know (going to sleuth)

He is saying he DID it for profit, not that he Can't do it for profit. )

ETA, the judge ruled that he could use his notes and recollections and that's EXACTLY what he did.

From JA's FB page:
"There have been questions about Mason's motion to have me held in contempt. Fear not my friends just another desperate attempt by Mason to get noticed and throw some mud. My actions as always were above reproach. Rita and I are taking the kids on a trip after christmas. Have a happy holiday everyone. Stay tuned for big news after the new year , See you then"

Sure we want to go there? If I recall, Mr. Ashton had announced his retirement prior to the Anthony case, thought about it, realized win or lose, it would be a cash cow case for his retirement, and changed his mind. At 54, I am sure he could have had a few more good years putting away the bad people of Florida.

on an aside, it makes me think "hmmm" that none of these defense team members have stepped up to help any other poor clients in Florida. There are plenty of cases that need pro-bono attys. why aren't they continuing their good works?
