Discussion thread for Jodi Arias Journals

Hi all you journal readers. Have a question: On April 7, 2010, the Mesa Police submitted a report on four of JA’s journals, with an analysis that concluded the journals were, in fact, written by JA.

However, a conclusion in this report caught my eye. Pages 30 & 31 in the final journal (4/13/08 to 7/14/08) were subjected to electrostatic analysis (ESDA). The report noted “some discernible indented writing was developed on page 30 … whose source is unknown.”

Can any of you “journal junkies”:dance: tell us why, given date or content, these pages (30 and 31) might have been tested?

Sources for info:

ESDA
A sensitive technique to identify indented and electrostatic writing impressions on documents caused by other documents having been written whilst resting on top of the document under investigation.

Thanks all! And Happy New Year!!!!

I don't see a thing different on these pages as any other page. I will look again in the morning with fresh eyes but nothing stands out

BINGO!!!!!!

I can't connect CMJA the "Journaling Fool" with CMJA the "Suspect being Interrogated" and CMJA the "Witness on the Stand for 18 Days". I believe her journals are fiction, written for the purpose of having other's read them.

What little there was of Travis' journal, he really did regret the break up with Lisa <----- sounds like she was "the one that got away". He also mentioned that the stolen journal had all his time with Lisa in it.

Also thought it was pretty weird that CMJA wrote in Travis' "substitute for the stolen journal" journal on 4-1-08, and he made no mention about her message..........did she put that in there at a later date?

His missing ring was taken by CMJA, his Ipod disappeared, his roomie's missing camera ended up in the BMW.

Why do the Hughes' have his journals?

Gus Searcy was married and a womanizer according to CMJA via Travis: So much for the mystery woman Searcy refused to reveal on the stand, must have been one of his "girlfriends" his wife didn't know about.

Travis mentioned "drama" and CMJA was connected to it. Wonder if that's why CMJA wrote those dark, suicidal musings, hoping he would read them......and maybe he did?

CMJA definitely had champagne taste on a watered down beer budget, relatively speaking.

CMJA talked the talk but in no way walked the walk.

In the end, it doesn't matter. CMJA murdered Travis. Doesn't matter if she was "normal" or "bat chit crazy", the brutality negates any mitigating factors the defense can make up. Had any of her previous boyfriends had mothers nearby, I'm sure their "psycho" meter would have flipped to the red zone the minute CMJA said anything.

CMJA doesn't ever belong in society. The world would be a better place without her. Anything else I have to say about her would have to be censored.

Do you remember text/email that Travis sent her about his IPod or 500 photos of his being lost or destroyed and his cd player combustioing?

That someone laid something over the journal and wrote on it intentional or not, or is it more like Jodi's tracings?

Pages 30-32 talks about Jodis' claims that Travis is questioning her about her relationships with any other guys. It's the same drivel as every other page. A whole lot of poor me, poor Travis, oh my. Nothing, really nothing new at all

1st BBM
Did you mean her choice of "verbiage" is odd?

2nd BBM
I feel exactly the same way. I think her mother embarrasses her royal highness. And this "verbiage" coming from a high school drop out at that! Remember when her mom was talking to Flores?

SANDRA ARIAS: You know (INAUDIBLE) she gave me a hard time because I never went to college and she kept telling me, Mom, you need to -- you need to read. You need to do this. You need to better your life. And -- I don`t know. I just -- I can`t even imagine (INAUDIBLE) Jodi had a lot of - - a lot of plans for her future. How could she mess it up and do something that you said she did?

Starting laughing when CMJA wrote the word "nay" I was just reading a Jane Austen novel and there was the word.

No, she doesn't. She tries to list 5 things a day she is grateful for. IDK how they made the list! Dated 10/16/07

Oh the irony.

I started reading them. She has "a good feeling about Niagra Falls" because she thought Travis would propose. Oh jeez.

Grr.

Makes me so mad when she says how much she loves Travis but she does not think he feels the same.

WTH did she just not leave? No, instead she uses her loose sexuality as a tool to keep him in.

She's not the first insecure young woman who thought the way to a mans heart is through his .. well nevermind. You'd think after a couple of thousand years of evolution women would have learnt this lesson by now. Maybe it's a form of natural selection for women like Jodi not to get it.

I think just hearing this that I feel bad for Jodi's dad the most. (Besides Travis, obviously ) Because she seems to demonize every man in her life.

I cannot stress this enough. Women have been doing this for thousands of years, and continue It thousands of times every single day. The difference is thankfully most women are not narcissistic sociopaths who completely lose themselves in their grandiosity plans. Unfortunately for Travis, jodi chose him to lose herself in. She had invested literally everything into that relationship, and the investment failed. She no longer was a person without Travis, she saw literally no life outside of him it was all or nothing. I do not believe to this day, she regrets killing him

Who's this Sam guy (lived in Tucson) that was interested in Jodi? (May 08)

Does she babble in journal as she does in interview/testimony?

IMO she does but instead of seeing her mouth moving, you see it in writing. She wrote a lot about PPL, her love of God, Jesus Christ, Mormon church, her family and Travis.
It seems she wrote all those things to impress, manipulate, and entice Travis to marry her.
I wouldn't be surprised if she read each of her entries to Travis regularly.
When there was no chance in hell he would marry her, she killed him and grinded Ryan next.

I'm guessing it was a guy who once said hi to her which meant to her, he wanted to date her as in the same way Travis boning her meant he was close to marrying her. See?

Or some poor guy she was trying to use to get Travis to feel an inkling of jealousy towards her, thereby making him get down on bended knee upon realising she was indeed 'the one' ...

Honestly im not convinced she didn't then or currently believe her delusions as her reality. While to normal people you'd think this was a plan to simply make TA jealous I believe things like that she invented in her head to make herself feel more superior. A true narcissistic sociopaths can lie so well because it's their version of the truth, and the only person important in their life is themselves.

I think silly Jodi just believed manipulations would work because they do on TV and in Jane Austen novels.

I agree she frequently mirrored emotions, mimicking scripts from TV shows but only did it because she knew from early on she didn't fit into societies normality. she lacked personal depth, insight, forethought nearly her entire life so like all humans do we adapt and that she did. It leads me to believe her mental and emotional shortcomings are definitely psychological. This is why she became so entirely lost in Travis, not only to entangle herself into his life but because she literally wanted to be him. Her psychological makeup would've never allowed her to lead any sense of a normal life whether or not she had met Travis. She is seriously one for psychologists to study for many years to come

In response to Lambchops question about the episodes....she only references a few directly...🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 in parking lot comes to mind...mostly thought they are oblique, dreamy too good to tell you about secrets. She does talk about "doing the deed" or "going all the way". I haven't seen a mention of anal sex. No mention at all of masturbation or 🤬🤬🤬🤬 of any sort. Tootsie rolls get mentioned.

January the twenty fourth;

He`s so hard to say no to. We totally made out afterward. But he was so sweet and kind and attentive the entire rest of the night. It was a long drive back from Las Vegas. Travis was being extremely impatient, but eventually he got over it. So I raced home, freshened up, and headed over there with tootsy pops. He makes me want to be so naughty. And naughty we were. We went all the way again. It was different this time. He was different. He was tender and sweet and loving. He said he had been planning and hoping for this. He said he wanted to savor the moment and make it last as long as possible. He asked me if I felt guilty and I said yes. Then he told me he wanted this because he wanted us to always have something special. Perhaps it was like closure for both of us.

The other all the way sex was when travis according to Jodi and is mentioned in the May 12 phone call, is the rose petals and candles were down the hall to his bathroom and all around the bathtub. She said he made her feel like a goddess. That was also the time she talked about sex underwater not counting.

I'm 29 and very close to the age of what Jodi was at the time of this journal. I've not referenced sex as "all the way" since high school. I do believe they probably did have vaginal sex twice since Deanna and Travis had sex too but I highly doubt the details she gives on either of the accounts surrounding them. With Jodi, there is always a whole lotta BS built upon a tiny sliver of truth.
