She probably was miserable! That poor little girl. No one should have to endure as much crap with the toileting issues as JonBenet did, and here Patsy's saying it's no big deal and making plans for pageant after pageant, with a child who can't even stay dry and needs rashes treated on a regular basis. She really had her priorities way out of whack.

And people try to say Patsy never displayed any signs of mental imbalance...dying the hair of a 5 year old child to win a meaningless cheap and tawdry crown is pretty sick and twisted. Forcing a child that age to take piano, violin, French, singing and dancing lessons and gymnastics all at the same time for those ridiculous pageants was abuse, and definitely the product of unhealthy mind.

My son thinks she is totally whacko. Just from seeing the documentary "Living Dolls' and the fact that she put JonBenet in that.

And I agree.

That makes absolute total sense. I think that you are 100 percent correct about that. She was pissed off because they were accused of sexual abuse...and she knew that it wasn't true....not, about being accused of killing her child...because she knew that it WAS true.

Right Ames. She was infuriated and used it.

Good. I am glad that we brought you over to the "other side"...LOL I think that alot of people that saw that video, were convinced that JB had been sexually abused/molested by a family member....so, of course, when she was scratching with the saxaphone, I guess that some people just assumed that she was masterbating. Geraldo Rivera (it was HIS show that I saw the tape on), even thought that. I guess, in a way, it DID look that way. BUT...I just don't think that was the case. I think that she had been performing long enough, to know to stick to the routine...and to be able to refrain from masterbating in front of a bunch of people...but, everyone knows .....when you have an itch....you HAVE to scratch. She was probably miserable.....poor kid.

was it ever said if she used a powder on her to try and keep her dry and soothe the rashes? I was thinking if she used a cornstarch based one, then that could have brought on yeast infections, since they thrive on it b/c it's a food product.so that could have made the problem even worse.

I always found it very suspicious that when PR was told about the sexual abuse, she became angry at the investigator! Not at the thought that something like that had been done to her daughter, but at the person who said that it had! "Show me where it says that!" in an angry and accusatory tone was PR's reply to the investigator who told her that there was evidence that JBR had been sexually assaulted.
An innocent parent would have reacted with shock and grief having heard that her strangled child had also suffered another horror. Not anger. Not by being insulted that someone had said it.

The fact that she was constantly damp, as Patsy admitted to a friend, is enough to keep the rash going and to keep it extremely painful. She said she used Desitin ointment.

I can't understand why Patsy didn't take JonBenet to a pediatric urologist. There may have been a medical issue that sketchy Dr Beuf didn't diagnose. I know he kept telling her JB was fine, but needing to apply Desitin to an ongoing rash on a child who can't stay dry during the day or night is not fine. JonBenet could not have possibly enjoyed having to endure all of that. How was that "no big deal" to Patsy?

Ugh, I bet if Patsy had had to deal with wetness that caused a rash requiring the steady and continued application of ointment on herself, she'd have gotten right up and seen whatever specialist she thought was best. I bet if the wetness/rashes had prevented JonBenet from winning pageant crowns and trophies, Patsy would have thought it was a bigger deal than she claimed to.

At this point, I bet JonBenet was spoiled and hard to handle re bedwetting and damp underwear, etc. and Patsy did not know how to handle it except with rage and John's saying he never saw Patsy get angry is absurd. What is all the screaming going on every day in the bathroom then, a tea party?

I really suspect DR Beuf knew something was amiss, but this was a wealthy family he was friends with,so he looked the other way. That's what he was being paid to do.A frantic PR calls him 3x within a short time in dec 06,and yet she still fails to take JB to a specialist.Something was wrong, and I think Dr B knew it.After all,why did he refuse to speak to LE,and hide her medical records? He also sided with JR on him saying PR wasnt able to come down to police HQ and give a statement about the events on the day of the murder.I used to work in healthcare and I know that's the wrong thing to do..it would have empowered her to feel like she was able to help at that point(IF she was innocent).Instead,he encourages her to whine and avoid police.Something wasn't right, and he knew it.

Exactly, JMO. Dr Beuf behaves like a man who has a reason to help the Rs cover something up. The whole thing with hiding the medical records and dodging police is really odd. The fact that he gave JonBenet 5 or 6 vaginal exams between the ages of 3 and 6 and doesn't think that's unusual or indicative of anything outside of normal at all is odd. The way he dismissed JonBenet's toileting issues as normal and average when her situation wasn't normal or average at all is odd.

He was at the Fernie's the evening of the 26th - I know he attended the same church as the Rs, but who has a pediatrician who comes to handfeed Valium to the parents of one of his patients who was murdered? Apparently the Ramseys do.

Beuf is one of the people JR credits as having advised him to retain legal counsel by 7 pm on the 26th.

Personally, I think it seems like Beuf was a little to invested on a personal level with the Rs, and I find him to be rather suspicious. I think he's hiding something he should have reported.

That's what just about everyone I ask says.

Nope. No stun gun.

Yes, but Detective Haney says "prior" sexual abuse. So I could see her getting angry about that because he is implying that someone in her family did it; namely, John.

I could buy that if not for them claiming they didn't know about it, even AFTER this interview.

But isn't that what you would expect them to say?

right, and why wasn't he there to tend to JB in case she was found injured?I've never once read that's why he was called. Why weren't JR and PR both calling for him when JB was 'found'?

Jayelles. I knew I had watched that on TV at some point.

While I have your attention Jayelles, I'd just like to say thank you for being here. I really enjoy reading your posts and I think you are a very intellegent person. I appreciate you and your work on this case. You keep me interested. So... thanks for being here.

Ditto Jayelles. I always learn so much from your posts. Can you answer this, does a stun gun or taser make a lot of noise when it is used?

I can answer it, because I own one. It makes a he** of a lot of noise! Not to mention the screaming.

No - I've read the facts and I'm not convinced

Thanks SD - so, it's okay to assume that if one was used inside the Ramsey's house, it would be heard by everyone in the home that night. I don't think I've seen any testimony that either parent heard the sound of a taser in the still of the night. JMO
