George is a like an onion. He is a hard nut to crack and his true life story would make for very interesting psychological research and studies. On one hand he seems weak, spineless, the patsy and scapegoat but what motivates him to play or to stay in this role is a mystery. Does Cindy or someone else hold something from the past over his head? Is he lazy and looking for the free ride or has he just been beaten down so long that he just accepts his fate as the whipping boy?
Some people actually like being dominated and do have moments of clarity where they lash out. Others realize, often when they think it is too late, that they are in a position that they hate. They are married to or involved with someone who benefits even derives pleasure from appearing as if they "have to be" in control. Afterall, the worse Georgie comes off or the more he is made to appear as the F@#$ up the better the partner appears.
If a person is labeled a f@#$ up too many times and that person is too scared or too weak to directly stand up to his accusers then he might passive aggressively lash out...like "visiting" a woman with questionable character who is definitely "not a ten" and gambling away the family funds, etc.
George Anthony would be quite the interesting case study and it seems no one is certain what motivates him to behave in any of the ways he has in any of the situations where he is a participant.
