UK Eliza & Henrietta Huszti, sisters both 32, CCTV captures them near a river at 2am, Aberdeen, 7 Jan 2025.

I had assumed the Charlotte St image was captured relatively near to where they live? When reported missing, I think police would check cameras closest to home to see when they left. That area has lots of flats and this is presumably the image that is most clear.

The CCTV is Tuesday early morning. The news of their disappearance broke on Friday. So we can assume someone reported them missing maybe Wed or Thurs. I am not sure of how seriously police would initially take reports of 2 adult women as missing (e.g if one had not turned up for work, surely this would take a day or 2 before it was of significant concern?).

As always, I am sure the police have more info than is in the public domain.
Thanks for posting when they were reported missing - do we know by whom? It seems they were missing all of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and then presumably some of Friday before someone noticed them missing. Or did LE give them a day or two to reappear before listing them as missing? Did that mean they didn't have full time jobs? Or even casual/part time jobs that had regular hours? Would they have been able to maintain a rental without either having a full time job? It seems like they don't live with anyone else, or at least anyone who was around enough to notice them gone. Did they take time off work sometime around Tuesday?
Again, I have many questions.....

Has it been mentioned whether they live alone (i.e just the two of them) or whether they have housemates? Rent everywhere has been going up and up, especially in cities, and Costa/cleaning jobs are usually at or near minimum wage. It was probably possible to afford with the two of them but it's also true that a lot of immigrants (mostly men but sometimes women too) live in HMOs (houses of multiple occupation). If they have a housemate that would explain them being reported missing quickly, if they had let their housemate know they were going out at that time (or they had seen them leave) they would be alarmed that they were not back in the morning.

If it's been mentioned somewhere that they lived somewhere with just the two of them, then please ignore me!
This report from The Independent on Saturday states they were reported missing from their home, but it doesn't say who by or if they live with anybody else:

The search for two sisters who were last seen more than four days ago in Aberdeen has been extended to the coast, police have said. Police Scotland is appealing for help in finding 32-year-old triplets Eliza and Henrietta Huszti after they were reported missing from their home in Aberdeen city centre.

Having double checked, their story was in the news on Friday - but Police Scotland added them on their web site at 6.10pm on Thursday evening. Therefore this really only 2 full days of them being missing. They were seen on camera Tuesday morning, so around 66 hours later.

I do wonder if they had a flatmate or neighbour who was aware they left in the early hours, which coupled with them then not returning raised concern. Again, I assume leaving in the early morning was out of character or unusual for them. All just my opinion.

Police Scotland web site:

There was a case quite a few years ago early to mid 2000s in the UK of 2 sister possibly twins who were acting strangely attacked possibly killed a bf/husband of one of the sisters moved about quite abit was stopped by the police walking if i remember down a motorway was bearly speaking to the police before running in front of a lorry (big rig) one survived and lived a completely normal life after one of the sisters had mental health issues what the other sister developed when in contact with the other cant remember the full details as it was a long time ago but I wonder if something similar has happened here

It was first reported by The Daily Record on Thursday at 18.55:

We are continuing to speak to people who know Eliza and Henrietta and we urge anyone who has seen them or who has any information regarding their whereabouts to please contact 101 quoting incident number 0735 of Tuesday, 7 January, 2025.

Does 0735 of Tuesday 7 January 2025 refer to the time the sisters were reported missing?

Searches have been focusing on the river Dee as police said there is no evidence of the missing women leaving the immediate area.

They are set to continue in the same area on Monday.

No, 0735 is the police incident number

Family say thank you:

The family said the Scottish authorities were "doing their job", adding: "The family is not in a position to give separate information to everyone. Thank you all for being with us at this difficult time."

Chief Inspector Darren Bruce said: "Eliza and Henrietta's family are understandably extremely worried about them and we are working tirelessly to find them.
We are seriously concerned about them and have significant resources dedicated to the enquiry."

What we know - feel free to add but this is basically it as far as I can tell.
  • Reported missing January ___ I will fill this in when confirmed reported date
  • Last seen on camera 2:12am January 7 confirmed last seen - may have been more recent and we don’t have anyone who has confirmed that yet
  • Believed to have crossed bridge and turned right toward boat club.
My personal considerations:
  • There has been 0 info reported about additional cameras reviewed. A Google search shows the boat club does have cameras, we can assume they are functional. Have they been cleared, area there areas they don’t cover?
  • They have urged businesses to review footage but haven’t outride said they have reviewed footage and she’s no where to be found, just that they believe they never left the path.
  • I hope they are not operating on an assumption that they never left and rather have actual footage from all areas that show they never left.
  • I want to know if/who was seen on that boat club review.
  • I’d also like to know if anyone was seen behind them, that hasn’t been reported as far as I can tell.
  • We’ve seen nothing about phone records, pings or anything else. So they either have that, aren’t reporting it or aren’t permitted to get it (I don’t know laws here)
  • I don’t feel we can rely on this being out of the ordinary for them unless we hear that from a room mate or someone who actually knew more than just what occurred on phone calls.
IMO they were either
  1. going to the boat club. Something occurred there or before they got there
  2. using the path to cut through to somewhere else
  3. Using the path to lose someone behind them

Someone posted a great google map back a few pages. I’m wondering if we know the area of their home and could add that to the map

Thanks for clarifying that! It does say 'of Tuesday 7 January 2025' so is that referencing the date they were first reported missing? Or is it referring to the date they were last seen?

Tuesday 7th will be the date it was reported. Someone phoned the police to report them missing and a 'log' was created. That log would have the date and a random number, in this case 0735. If members of the public phone in with information they quote the 0735 number so the call taker can quickly find the log it's referring to.
7th of January is definitely the date the call was made to report them missing even though they may have been missing a few days prior.

Thanks for the info @sleuth777.

They were last seen on CCTV at 2.12AM on Tuesday 7 January, so someone reported them as missing later on the same day.

I believe they were reported the 11, that’s what I’m seeing everywhere. Can someone link where it says they were reported the 7th?

Edited to add - I just want to edit my timeline to reflect accurately and I’m realizing that the 11th doesn’t make sense because of this post but that’s what’s being reported, I’m not sure the 7th makes sense either unless they didn’t meet someone and there was cause for concern that fast

Morgan’s Fuels are open 24hours apparently, well according to google. And are located on the path the girls were walking down. Possibly going there to meet someone or collect something…imo
Morgan’s Fuels is no longer there. On Google maps it shows several buildings behind the path, these have been demolished and there is just empty land.

See this picture I posted earlier in the thread from the news at the weekend.

When were they reported missing?
Eliza and Henrietta were reported missing to Police Scotland six days ago on Tuesday, January 11.

As in my earlier post, it was reported here on 9 January at 18.55:

“We are continuing to speak to people who know Eliza and Henrietta and we urge anyone who has seen them or who has any information regarding their whereabouts to please contact 101 quoting incident number 0735 of Tuesday, 7 January, 2025.”

They were first reported missing on Tuesday 7 January.

The first reports in MSM were on 9 January.
