Excused from the Rule of Sequestration

Is there WiFi available @ the courthouse? They could just watch via laptop from another room but not be in the courtroom until they testify unless the court order says they are to refrain from watching any testimony. Of course, that would require the A's to follow the rules like everyone else in society.

We already know (and now HHJP does too) that they are unable to take NO for an answer, as evidenced by them filing this motion...

Good Point . . . Well said!

If they do, I hope they suffer contempt charges! They are not above the law. mo

ITA! The A clan seems to think that the rules don't apply to them. Neither do the laws. Now, this is just my opinion mind you, but after watching the A's in action for the past 3 years, I think that if they were allowed in to watch the other's testimony, they might try to restrain themselves because it would be important to them to hear everything that everyone else was saying, but then when they were on the stand they might answer a question and refute something that was testified to by someone else. For example, say that LDB asked CA about the smell in the car AFTER having AH testify about the dead squirrel texts. CA could say, "Yes. I stated that it smelled like there had been a dead body in the damn car. And there had been. George pulled 2 dead squirrels out from under the carriage about a week before KC and Caylee left to bond. Yes, he did, Linda! I told you that! you just didn't want to listen." Or, if RM stated that they had slept over on certain dates, CA or GA could come back and try to state something else that had happened that date to try and make that testimony seem untrue. KWIM? I know that the SA would object or ask the judge to instruct them only to answer the questions, but the jury will have heard it and the potential damage will have been done. The A's won't care if they are threatened with perjury or contempt. They are trying to free their little CEO. All bets will be off when they take that stand, and whether HHJP allows them to stay in the courtroom or the A's just stay up all night afterwards watching the coverage on their DVR or Youtube, IMO, they WILL try to change the testimony of each and every person who sits there and says something damning about KC. A leopard can't change his spots. JMO.

Lawyer: Cindy and George Anthony will not attend jury selection

The attorney representing Cindy and George Anthony has told us he does not anticipate the parents of Casey Anthony traveling to wherever a jury is selected for her case.

Interesting ...

I wasn't sure where to post this ... so mods, if it needs to be moved, please do so.

Thanks.

Hey everyone... I follow WESH (channel 2) on Facebook for Casey Anthony case updates, and they just updated around 25 minutes ago with this:

"Multiple sources tell us the defense team will file a motion objecting to letting George & Cindy stay in the courtroom during the trial."

That's crazy! Guess that answers the visitation question too. Hmm...

hahahaha wow. KC doesn't want her parents present.... lol

It's more like telling her parents that "No... you are NOT Caylee's next of kin!!"

She really loves to torture her parents, doesn't she? She was thanking Cindy just a few short weeks ago... even smiled at her... then she stabs them in the heart again. She loves playing the role of the CEO George so graciously gave her.

I said this in the other thread... I really hope that JB has some security at his office tonight. I would not want to be the one to come face to face with Cindy right now.

I suspect that CA will be in her back yard with her hammer tonight......MO

Well, if so, that answers a lot of questions about KC's defense strategy. It sounds like the DEFENSE team not the prosecution is looking to impeach George's and Cindy's testimony.

I guess the defense team doesn't trust George and Cindy to just lie down for their bus to run over. And like there are some really big whoppers George and Cindy told that KC's defense is going to expose.

Oh I hear that bus a comin'
It's rollin round the block
Headed straight for Hopespring - it ain't never gonna stop
She's spewing fulsome venom from OC F-Dorm-L....

(that was probably funnier in my head)

Well, well, well. It looks like Casey is the one "messing with the Anthonys". This is it, isn't it? Should get interesting, to say the least, although I am not looking forward to the Cindy backlash.

This part of the Anthony's attorney's statement is what has me thinking that the Anthony's are in a state of sheer panic at this very moment.

We don't know what Casey wants to do. We don't know how much is Casey and how much of this is the defense for Casey," he said.

Lippman said the couple is aware that they could be put in an adversarial position during their daughter's trial, but the two think they at least deserve an answer to their request.

Not to mention that I think this statement was released before word got out that the defense was objecting to the Anthony's being in the courtroom for the trial.

I also have to wonder if the SA's caller ID reads "Anthony residence" right about now??

Should they Stay or Should they Go? May 5th, 2011 by Richard Hornsby.

http://blog.richardhornsby.com/2011/05/should-they-stay-or-should-they-go/

My guess is because I think ICA does not want her mother and her father to hear all the real details of what she actually did to Caylee, because if they did, they may change their mind and actually testify to the truth.

And yes, I can understand she may have told herself it is because she is "afraid" of them, and they have "abused" her and one of both of them "are responsible, and she couldn't tell them about the "accident" but deep down she knows she's guilty and knows her parents know it too. She is afraid of losing her position of "first" in the eyes of her parents.

Richard Hornsby thinks the parents should and will be allowed in the courtroom. He's found a new slant on the law (he knows more than CJBP?)
I'm going to be brave and say I think he'll be proven wrong on both counts. :innocent:

does this mean it's official that CA and GA cannot attend the trial? I'm at work and jump in when I can. Thank you in advance!!

This could explain why KC had so many visitors at the jail the other day. Big decision.

You know I do hope they are kept out of the Courtroom. They are still going to watch the trial. In fact, I hope they disobey the rules and watch the trial. I want them to hear about EVERY single piece of evidence the SA has against ICA. But I don't want them there to display their facial expressions, sneers, sighs, and gestures for the jury to see and to put more pressure on other witnesses.

Plus also keep this in mind. It will be easier for them to throw Cindy and George under the bus. Because to the jury the lack of her parents not being there to support her will gain more sympathy for ICA. They won't know that her parents aren't there because they're not allowed to be there but just that they aren't, and that it's just ICA alone against the world. And against the mean and abusive parents that she's going to allege actually committed the crime.

The DT doesn't want the A's there in the courtroom just as much as the SA doesn't, but their motives are very different.

ETA: No matter if the A's watch the trial in the Courtroom or at home on TV we all know one thing for certain, they're going to lie. So keeping them out surely isn't going to keep these two from lying or somehow will change their makeup to be honest people. And clearly they aren't afraid to lie under oath, we have already seen them do it. They already know they'll never be charged with perjury. Even though I wish they would someday be held accountable.
