Excused from the Rule of Sequestration

I do not believe for a second that the Anthony's really love their daughter or even really support her... it is all an act. Think about it... before all this happened, we have heard that Casey and her mother were constantly at each others throats. Cindy called ICA a psychopath, and unfit mother, and no telling what else. George certainly didn't think too highly of ICA, either.

After all of this.. bam.. they are all of a sudden a loving family and think Casey is the most wonderful thing since sliced bread and they have proclaimed their undying support for her, even at the expense of sweet little Caylee. Why??? Because ALL Cindy and George care about are APPEARANCES. They will NEVER accept the fact that they raised a MURDERESS... it just looks too bad on them. The sad irony of it all is, if they would have supported their granddaughter instead of their murderess spawn, people would not think as negatively of them. They have brought their own worst fear upon themselves, by their actions.

These people, George and Cindy -- they each only love ONE person in the world. Cindy loves HERSELF. George loves HIMSELF. All else be damned. They don't give a rat's patoody about Casey -- and I'm not saying they should -- I just find it baffling how far they will go to SAVE FACE. In my opinion, these two don't know how to love anyone but themselves. That is why they were so easily able to forget Caylee, to just sweep her memory under the rug. I don't believe they ever really loved her, either. People, to them, are just objects -- things to stroke their own egos. Just to be clear, I don't think Cindy & George's behaviour/personality/whatever in any way excuses what Casey has done. People come from homes even more dysfunctional than the Anthony's and don't go around murdering people, much less their own children. Well, this is all just my opinion, of course.

To keep this more on topic, I'm just going to say that i really hope His Honor keeps these nasty, evil people OUT of the courtroom. They come off like petulant, spoiled little children. If there is even a remote chance that their little outbursts (both verbal and non) will cause a mistrial.. OUT. In fact, I'd go so far as to hope that they can't be in the courtroom even AFTER their testimony is done. JMO.

Here is what I emailed a good friend who follows the case:
I think they are out till they testify and have a 88.79% chance of getting kicked out after they testify, unless they hold the "blow up" till the end of the trial. I would not put it past them (and we know GA testified he will do anything to protect KC) to yell out in court and try to cause a mistrial.
If they sit in - jury will hate them, IMHO. Their vileness glows even after their makeovers.
If they sit out - they will watch it live on a tv anywhere in Orlando. So the intent of sequestration is moot really.

When I dream --------> it goes like this............
Judge Perry has hereby ordered and declared that GA, CA and LA must each stay in a different Motel 8 for the duration of the trial and can only watch the channels the jury can and past episodes of Sponge Bob and One Tree Hill.

I had no idea that it was even legal to allow witnesses, including indirect wtnesses, to sit in and listen at all. This sure is news to me!

I think if it is alright with the Pros that the witnesses stay in the courtroom then the judge will honor that. Weren't Laci Peterson's parents allowed to stay in the courtroom before they testified? I know that the parents can also be the first to testify so that they can stay in the courtroom too. My guess is that they will be the first to testify or let to stay in the courtroom until they testify. I hope they are kept out though!

I hope they follow normal procedures with CA & GA. If they make an exception for them then they have to make it for everyone else that comes after the As.

I did see an exception in the Westerfield case. The court allowed both Damon and Brenda to sit through the entire trial of their murdered daughter. For that I was glad. I was glad they got to see that murderer shake from his Parkinson's and sweat bullets everytime a witness was on the stand. The judge even allowed them to wear their buttons and favourite colors. I don't think it clouded the jurors one bit, and they sat there with dignity (well, except for one time when the DT said he was a security risk).

Wonder how the slime is doing on death row (with Scott Peterson) @ San Quentin.

MOO

I believe the judge stated at one of the hearings they could attend after they have testified. On those grounds I'll assume the trial will follow the same rules, they will just then be hoping they are called up early. I'm hopeful that the gravity of the situation will temper their actions/reactions however I'm not holding out much hope that it will come to fruition.

I refuse to get upset with it either way,(trying to calm myself for the trial it is going to be a tough one.) I'm trying to see the upcoming days as Caylees chance to tell her story. I believe she loved CA and her Papa Joe with all her heart and would not object to their presence or hold their actions against them. Even if those actions include trying to save KC as CAYLEES STORY is going to be told regardless and JUSTICE is coming..

Caylees voice will be louder than any antics as she has truth on her side and many people fighting for her. All of you here on WS have kept Caylees voice strong and allowed her spirit to soar through your hearts.. We are in the home stretch now and Caylee will be heard, loved and remembered.

ICA will be drowned out by truth, hated and forgotten...

JUSTICE...

I call this phony-baloney. Mommy dearest has visions of worldwide media coverage dancing in her head. Movie deals, interviews and books, OH MY! She ‘s ready for her close up Mr. DeMille. And Papa Joe? Don’t even get me started. He wants to be there. He needs to be there. Oh wait, staying away is option too.

This isn’t about KC and supporting her. This is the work of two twisted manipulative people who are drama addicted. I can’t imagine their cold turkey program was their idea and now they see the biggest drama pushers all lining up and they need their fix.

What a frackin’ travesty.

You really hit on a good point with the drama angle. Cindy has already begun te preliminary groundwork of nonsense and immaturity. She was complaining about the court seating or something and how they were not respectful of the family, as if they have some right to be there. It's going to be crazy. I really wish HHJP would keep the Anthonys and a certain blogger OUT of the courtroom. News reports are saying they may "miss out" on the trial...but that is rubbish. They can watch everything online or on tv. They don't NEED to be there for any reason.

I hope they are allowed in, so we can watch them get tossed out. :great:

:floorlaugh: Post.of.the.week!

It's so incredibly offensive how the anthony's use Caylee only when it's beneficial to them. They should be ashamed and disgusted with themselves... however, I don't think they know what shame is. Nor do I think they have ever felt true love for another person, especially not Caylee. The only love they have ever felt is for themselves. It's utterly disgusting.

I have a hard time understanding why it is so crucial for the Anthony's to be in the courtroom for every single moment of the case. Can anyone here put themselves in the A's shoes-for just a second, I promise-and tell me why this would be so important? Other than to intimidate, influence or just hear one another. Don't they pretty much know what the other witnesses have to say by now?

Well---fersur the Judge dont want the jury to be like pop-tarts---so he may send them out while he cleans out the court room (the As) and then e-thang will be ok---I trust him----once the trial starts then the game is on and yes---I will enjoy the whole thang---I have waited and wadded thru all the crap and I want to see for myself---want to see e-thang.

I do have a ? tho---does the Judge have a monitor on his desk so he can look at the room like we do? One day the camera was still on and the camera guy was disconnectin something by the Judge's desk.

Odd how "the hammer" and "the hose" fit CA and GA so well...

I don't envy the judge this decision but I think that he will give the A's whatever rights the law allows. Then if they act up he will warn them and then toss them on a second violation.

I'm so impressed with HHJP! Just think how different the OJ Simpson trial would have been with HHJP in charge. The mind boggles! He is truly fair, totally in control and about as unflappable as a judge can be under what have got to be the most aggravating circumstances. He really knows his stuff so I am certain that whatever ruling he makes will not be open to challenge in the future.

-----------------------

LA I agree with you. I should think there is a good chance they will be one of the first to testify. Their problem is they are loose cannons, CA. with her hammer and GA. with his hose. I believe HHJP. will crack down, they'll never make it through the whole trial. Think of Lacis mom there is a woman with dignity. The A's do need to hear it all. They will never admit to the truth even if it slaps them in the face.If they had sense they'd behave.Kc. will be looked upon as a reflection of their anger. They'll never make it.. Yes Caylee will know it all. Bless her little heart. :seeya:

This is why they shouldn't be in front of the jury -

I never got the impression GA/CA wanted to be in the courtroom for Caylee. I always thought they wanted to be in there to see KC. In fact, I have never heard or read that they did want to be there for Caylee. Go figure.

Isn't passing notes to the defense as if you are their human fact-check a little bit of a no-no?
I thought the A's got attys. Maybe the notes should go through them. If CA wants to correct the record, she can try to do it on the stand. And when she does, as we have seen, JB and the state will both shut her down. She does not seem to understand what goes into building a case/defense and that every little detail may not be necessary, relevant or helpful. There have been occasions when she felt it was her place to be a "helper" to JB, and he has had to tell her to cut it, not what he asked.
SHE IS NOT A LAWYER, and has no educated understanding as to what goes into their long thought out questioning. She seems to think she needs to tell a saga every stinking time. I am waiting for the state to take JohnM/Mitnik's tact of "Yes or No, just the way you like it !?!"
On the occasions when she does get shut down on the stand, she becomes sassy. When she literally can't be on the stand because it's not her turn, she is like a know-it-all mime in the audience-I am waiting for a paper airplane with her notes on it to zoom past JB's head if she cannot get his attention. She should consider a diaper, cause it's like she's gonna pee her pants if she can't yap/communicate.
As AZLawyer pointed out, when her clients pass notes to her, it is never helpful to their case. I'm guessing CA's aren't either-Hasn't her note passing ended in a fail when JB actually entertained it?

I don't think so. Neither were Brent and Amy. IIRC. Sharon was called very early on though. Her father and step-father did not testify that I remember.

With all due respect, HHJP may care, but the A's don't give one flip about how much money this is going cost or anything else but freeing their murderess princess daughter. All it takes is one them yelling out they did it in court, or doing something so outrageous that jury can't ignore it, and we've got a mistrial. Their lawyers will not be able to control them, and HHJP will not be able to control them. Grant it, he will throw them out after one outburst, but one outburst can be all it takes. That's the problem. These people care about nothing but saving Casey. They don't give a crap about the law, about court room decorum, or about justice for Caylee. They literally have nothing else to lose here but their daughter's life. That means they will stoop to doing anything in that courtroom to affect this trial. They should not get even ONE opportunity to do so.

I have mad respect for HHJP, but no matter how tightly he pulls the reins, one outburst is all it will take to get a mistrial and the A's KNOW this. It won't be a small outburst, it'll be a grand, huge, explosive, unforgettable one. It's happened in other cases, and it can happened in this one. I've seen how these people are, and the outrageous lengths they go to to lie and make scenes on television and at their home, all for princess CEO Casey. They are not to be trusted. They will not sit silently in that courtroom, and fortunately HHJP knows this too. IMO, let them watch it from home where they can only do damage to their own property.

Outstanding post and I totally agree! :)

A thought that crossed my mind..............from the Anthony's perspective, they may not want this trial to proceed in front of this judge with the current defense team.

Back in the beginning of this case, I remember Lee questioning Casey about JB during one of the jailhouse visits. He asked if she felt she had a good attorney, and it appeared that Lee was dubious about JB. I'm sure the Anthony's know of HHMP's reputation as a tough, no-nonsense, judge who has given the death penalty in other cases. So the Anthonys may have misgivings about both ICA's defense team and the judge.

As you've stated, they will stop at nothing to save princess Casey. If they were to make some sort of outrageous outburst that caused a mistrial, there's an excellent chance that JB would not continue as ICA's attorney for a second trial as he's not getting paid and has to beg for every dollar spent for ICA's defense. Because of trial schedules, it's very possible that a second trial would be assigned to another judge.

The Anthonys might see a mistrial as their chance to get a better attorney and another judge that's not so tough.

A good post I can agree with Law. I vote Cindy to be the first to throw a tantrum in open court.
jmo

Thanks, AZ. I also think Cindy just might be the first one out if allowed in.

*I really want George and Cindy to have to sit there and listen to all of the evidence and not be able to open their mouths in denial or even shake their heads negatively.

:seeya:

but remember Brent Rocha got into twuble when he talked to Juror #5?

The juror, an airport screener, was seen on a media pool camera chatting briefly with Brent Rocha, Laci Peterson's brother, as they passed through a metal detector. "Could lose today," the man, identified as Juror No. 5, reportedly said to Rocha, who smiled in response.

Something about a baseball game, if I'm not mistaken.

Goodnight - given Cindy's record, she'll be gabbin to all the jurors!

MOO of course!

If they so loved their precious grandaughter, they would have the decency to sit on the side of the State. Because they choose to sit on the side of the DT, they get no mercy from me!

My day would have been complete if this motion had been denied as well.

I think we will see a motion right back at the Anthonys from the state by tomorrow or Friday. I don't think that HHJP is going to allow the Anthonys in the courtroom, even after they testify. Maybe they can go sit in the room with all the excess media and watch the big screen there, unless they really want to be there and cause trouble...they should have no problem with that...heck, that way they can even see their princess close up and personal from the front (camera) view of her.

I haven't read what everyone else has said in this thread, I'm still reading the book submitted by the Anthonys' attorney - why they shouldn't be banned from the courtroom...

I do believe the attorney was so busy gathering case citations he forgot to proofread his document:

Page 2, #3, he refers to the Defendant as Caylee Marie Anthony.

Interesting how this poor child is both victim and murderer.

In appears to me that neither the Anthonys nor their attorney can be bothered with the LAW.

Since Cindy insists Caylee isn't deceased, and is living in The Bronx, how can she claim to be kin of the unknown victim? hmmm?

Everyone talks about this guy like he's so tough on folks in his courtroom and won't put up with nonsense. I'm just not seeing that same person everyone else seems to be seeing. He threatens JoseB but has not once followed through with his threats... he sets time limits but then let's 'em slide when they aren't met. He talks tough but has NO follow through!

I admit I'd like to see him smack down JB at every turn. JB's smirk is something that needs to be smacked into the outer limits. Judge Zoe here would be tapping her gavel so often, I'd need a new one everyday. I do see Judge Perry a bit stricter than Judge Strickland, but I do wish he were more like Judge Roy Bean, or at least like Bean's legend, or Judge Isaac Parker.

:fence: But I'll be patient and wait for the trial. After all, we've only seen him at hearings, not trial.

I would like to see JB shaking in his britches :rocker: when he enters the courtroom every day rather than seeing his smirk. :jester:
