So what on earth was the point of first announcing that she will go to New Beginnings, then refusing to disclose the facility, then announcing that she will go to New Beginnings?

wow - thanks, I did not realize this :blushing:
and he's the "family spokesperson" this side of Dolan
I guess my main reason for posting was seeing Jahi referred to as 'the body'. Machine or not, as long as she is breathing and has a heartbeat, she is a person. And they are being insensitive to the family by saying 'the body'.
SNIPPED for space
It's okay if we disagree. I just think until the plug has been pulled, she shouldn't be called 'the body'.
But at least stop calling her 'the body'.)
Thanks to Uncle Omar's big mouth, we now know the amount demanded in damages for the Violation of Privacy / Religious Beliefs lawsuit filed in federal court on Friday.
How much is Dolan think he is entitled to of that $30 million, over and above his fees. Isn't it usually at least 50%?
Didn't watch this before though maybe most did.
Take note 5.11 the mother says Jahi is like a really big "asset" to the family.
Yes, that is what most heartbroken mothers would say about the death of their child.....their child was a really big "asset" to the family.

Honestly that video was worse than everything I have read to date. Way worse than I could have imagined and my imagination is pretty extreme.
Her heart still beats, her body is not decomposing. The family believes there is a chance she will spontaneously recover, and I support them.
And until that point, she should not be referred to as "a body"!!

It's just that I believe that however much we'd like to, we can't decide to keep anyone alive if they are already deceased. The only thing we can do at that point is to prolong their decay.
Jahi was referred to as "Mama Jahi" 'cause she took such great care of the younger kids I recall in her Mom's interviews
You think that is why the mother used the term "asset"?
I do not. That woman would NEVER use that term unless she was coached, she likely never used it before in her entire life.
Karmady or any other legal speaking poster:
I don't understand the difference between Dolan signing/filing whatever it was in federal court versus the person who did. What is the significance of that? TIA
Thanks was not enough
Dolan wants paid by CHO - who's in this for $$$$$$$$/compensation ?!

Breach as defined at the website does not make it okay for any rep of CHO to speak to the media. The definition of exceptions is very clear. I am not sure what I am incorrect about.
Cue filing for an open-ended TRO while New Beginnings finishes building their facility.
Their FB page says nothing about this so far.
I highly doubt the millions they are hoping to get would go towards the facility.
This family is nothing but a bunch of grifters.
I thought he was talking about his perception of the hospital's motives in wanting to shut Jahi's ventilator down. 250.000 dollars is chump change to them but they wouldn't want to pay millions.
Does dragging this out make any difference to the lawsuit aspect at this point? She was already a coroner's case when this video was made, from the mother's comments. So I don't really see how disconnecting the ventilator or not disconnecting it would make any difference as to the amount of money there is at stake. As long as there is a legal death certificate the child is dead in the eyes of the courts, isn't she? She won't be considered alive just because the family chooses to keep her on a ventilator indefinitely.
