Another thing I've done is take the Zimmerman 911 call AND some info from the "Captain's" father and condense it into pertinent info about what we have AFTER Trayvon allegedly started running.

He’s running. [2:08] (Gets Out of Truck)

911 dispatcher:

He’s running? Which way is he running?

Zimmerman:

Down toward the other entrance of the neighborhood.

911 dispatcher:

OK, which entrance is that he’s headed towards?

Zimmerman:

The back entrance.

911 dispatcher:

Are you following him?

Zimmerman:

Yeah.

911 dispatcher:

OK. We don’t need you to do that.

Zimmerman:

OK.

911 dispatcher:

Alright, what address are you parked in front of?

Zimmerman:

I don’t know. It’s a cut-through so I don’t know the address.

Robert Zimmerman:

Police told George not to follow Martin, and asked him where he was. However, because he was behind the town homes he could not see the nearest address.

This is why, Robert Zimmerman claims, his son decided to keep following Martin, so he could obtain an address to give to police.

Robert Zimmerman:

“George went to the next street, realized where he was and was walking to his vehicle”

Now that I've got a good timeline from CSZiggy, I'll work on plotting there various points on an image with timeline info and see if they tell us anything.

Thanks - and that shows how you can get "tunnel vision" - I never thought about noises from the dispatcher's end of the recording. Even though I have heard keyboard clicks on other recordings of dispatcher recordings!
Not sure which tape it was but I could hear other dispatchers talking too on the recording.

(I apologize if I'm "behind" as I'm still catching up)

Deadly force, as defined by the United States Armed Forces, is the force which a person uses, causing—or that a person knows, or should know, would create a substantial risk of causing—death or serious bodily harm.

But wouldn't the fear be based on the person? So people freak out and panic much more than others. Very sticky law. lol

Just like what happened to you. You could have gone all "Ruth Buzzy" on him and beat him with your purse but your children were there and your concern was to protect them first and get them away and get help. That is a normal reaction. jmo

I noticed that too. I can also hear the loud rushing noise wind makes against a mic, I have heard that on a cell phone and videos I have taken outside. That loud rushing noise stops though and I think that is when he is between the homes out of the wind.

That may be why I am having trouble defining some of the sounds - I have very little experience listening to cell phone calls. We get no signal on much of our farm and just don't go places often enough to use a cell much.

I do have videos taken with lots of wind so I was sure about that sound.

Thanks! :seeya:

I know some kids like that too... (none that got arrested so far)

But I'm guessing that you knew something about them that made you nervous, other than that they were white.

It does not appear that GZ knew anything about TM to make him nervous other than that he was black and out in his his neighborhood.

It is the circumstances that arouse suspicions. One white kid made me nervous at school because he wore the stereotypical trench coat even on very hot days. In Trayvons case, GZ saw a teen in a hoodie at night walking in the rain and looking around, according to him. Maybe he thought TM was casing the place.

And how much is a watchman going to know about someone they see walking in the apt. complex at night. If they had to know about them before they were suspicious nobody would ever be caught breaking and entering.

And him being a black teen did have something to do with it. We can claim that is racist, but the reality is that the last break ins that were solved were committed by black perps. We are going to look at Muslims when we search the airport lines, and at Hispanics when we look at people entering our borders. And at white men for pedophilia. That is reality. We can call it racial profiling, but it is what it is.

On the recording from the Sanford site, the sounds are kind of metallic at least to me. Maybe he had 'taps' on his shoes - do people still do that? (showing my age here!)

As I listen to this...I'm realizing that the dispatcher asks GZ if he is following TM IMMEDIATELY after the alleged f***in c***s remark. Wondering if the dispatcher hearing that phrase -- raised his awareness -- deciding that it was time to try to defuse the situation. It will be intereresting to hear the dispatcher's testimony, when and if it goes to trial.

Me too, I would have stayed i my car with doors locked.
But we do NOT know that GZ used any deadly force.
We do know that something did happen and a boy is dead.
That is all we really know.

Just as you can imagine that maybe GZ used deadly force.
I can also imagine that maybe TM got smart and testy and caused this.
But do I know for sure? ... No I don’t know anything and neither do you.
:moo:

Do you believe that if someone gets smart and testy with you that you have the right to shoot them?

Also, unless I'm confused, when you listen to the 911 call, it sounds to me like it's around 2:10 when GZ can be heard getting out of the car. He's told around 2:26 not to follow. Then he's on the phone with 911 til 4:04. He also says that Trayvon was out by the back entrance.

He should have been back to his car before he even hung up with 911, no?

I don't buy for a second that GZ was attacked on his way back to his car.

So GZ must have been walking back on the cut through path when he spotted TM and TM spotted him. TM asks 'why are you following me' and GZ returns with what are you doing here?

Yes, on the call for GZ, I don't hear a lot of background chatter from other dispatchers but with the fight and the gunshot calls must have picked up because on the later 911 calls, I do hear other dispatchers.

How is that possible when all teens wear them and in particular in the rain when it's 60 degrees outside? lol I can't help but think that GZ would have been suspicious if GZ walked in the rain and didn't put his hood up. If it's raining why wouldn't someone want to keep their head from getting wet. I think that is a thought that NEVER entered Mr. Z's mind. jmo

I think the problem was that there were not a lot of teens outside walking around in hoodies or not. So he sees someone walking and he has never seen him before so he is going to check him out. Again, he is in his mind, a neighborhood watchman, so in his feeble mind, he is doing what he is supposed to do. I do not agree with his actions at all. I think he should have been arrested.

But to blame him for being suspicious of black teens is kind of unfair, imo. And my kids are both half black. But I am not going to pretend that there is no reason to be suspicious of a 6 ft 3 black kid walking at night in the neighborhood. There is a prominent and out of control 🤬🤬🤬🤬 culture which makes it seem cool to burglarize and jack cars and carry guns. And until these gangs are under control the people are going to be 'suspicious' of teens in hoodies.

What would the yeah sound in there be?

Zimmerman said yeah about something to the dispatcher. As best I can remember the dispatcher did not ask him a question, we just have a yeah there for some reason.

Snipped for space.
This still makes no sense to me.
This is not a huge area. He's lived there for over two years. He's made dozens of 911 calls and responded to residents' concerns in his role as the NW captain.
If after all this he could walk between the houses and not know exactly where he was he's got something wrong with him.

BBM: Only if he turned to go back to his car immediately. He could have stopped following him on foot and stood in the area for all we know so he could give a visual account of where TM was. :moo:

I still can't clearly hear if he says "c**n", and like I said in a previous post, up until this incident,I haven't heard anyone refer to a black with that term in like 30 years. Its something from my parents generation. I have no idea if GZ uses Urban language, but could this be what he says?

A man who evokes a certain indescribable feeling of creepiness and douchebag-ity.

Ooohhhh excellent point, TonyGatto!
Sure would be nice if it went to a trial so this all could be figured out! Although, they'd have to arrest GZ first....:waiting::waiting::waiting:
