Katerz -- your insights are so valuable.
Do you think in the moment of extraordinary stress, if RW and MW refused to help TJ load the bodies in the truck and try to dissociate themselves from the murder that TJ would have shot them? Suppose RW and MW were just unknowing innocent bystanders, surprised by how fast TJ's temper escalated to murder, might they have had no choice but to follow TJ's orders?

This is what I’m thinking their attorney will have in mind.

*Arraignment Hearing (Nuisance #5411) (@ 8:30am ET) - FL – Damion Allen Tillman (23), Keven Michael Springfield (30) & Brandon Cyril Rollins (27) (July 17, 2020, Frostproof). Only for *Tony Lee J. “TJ” Wiggins, Jr. (26) aka John L. Wiggins arrested (7/21/20) & charged (7/23/20) with 3 counts of 1st degree capital murder, tampering with evidence (F3), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (F-2) & possession of ammunition by a convicted felon (F-2). Plead not guilty. Held without bond.

7/30/20: Written plea of not guilty. Arraignment hearing on 8/26/20. Arraignment was cancelled. Status hearing on 9/10/20. 9/10/20 Update: Filed on 9/9/20 Motion to withdraw from counsel. Hearing was cancelled due to attorney ethical conflict. 9/10/20 Update: No info for murder charge. Firearms next pretrial conference hearing on 10/27/20. No update as of 9/18 for murder & still on 9/10/20.
*Arrested & charged (3/14/20) & arraigned (6/5/20) with 2nd degree aggravated battery (person uses a deadly weapon) & 3rd degree aggravated assault (deadly weapon w/o intent to kill). Plead not guilty. Bond $6K. Bonded out on 3/16/20. Bond was cancelled (7/22/20).

8/5/20/20 Update: Case will be consolidated with murder charge case. Arraignment hearing on 8/26/20. And next for assault case a pretrial conference hearing on 9/15/20 @ 8:30am. 8/26/20 Update: Arraignment hearing was cancelled. 9/15/20 Update: Next hearing on 10/27/20 @ 8:30am.
*Charged (8/17/20) 2 counts of nuisance injurious to health.
Misdemeanor case for the living conditions.
8/25/20 Update: Arraignment hearing 9/24/20 @ 8:30am.
*Charged (8/13/20) with 2 counts maintaining hazardous waste without permit, 2 counts of nuisance injurious to health. 2 counts of illegally possessing a shopping cart, 1 count of refusal to sign citation.
8/31/20 Update: Pretrial conference hearing on 10/6/20 @ 2:30pm.
*Charged (4/17/20) with nuisance injurious to health, unpermitted storage of waste tires, prohibited open burning & open unpermitted landfill.
8/26/20 Update: Misdemeanor case the hazardous waste, open unpermitted landfill, prohibited open burning and unpermitted storage of waste tires. Has a pretrial hearing on 9/22/20 at 8:30am. No update as of 9/23
*Charged (4/17/20) with prohibited open burning, open unpermitted landfill, nuisance injurious to health & unpermitted storage of waste tires.
4/17/20 Update: Misdemeanor case the hazardous waste, open unpermitted landfill, prohibited open burning and unpermitted storage of waste tires. Has a pretrial hearing on 12/2/20 at 8:30am.
*Mary Clare Whittemore (27) – Pretrial conference hearing on 10/27/20.
*William Robert Wiggins (21) – Grand Jury on 9/30/20. Pretrial conference hearing on 10/27/20.

From what I know.. I would say no. That whole family is all about backing one another up. Mary is no innocent bystander. She's been in her fair share of problems, a lot of my friends have known her since she was a child, and they all say the same thing.. she was trouble. I don't personally feel Robert or Mary were innocent. They all knew TJ had a temper and he was violent. TJ tried to choke out Robert's baby mama last year when she was pregnant with her 2nd child. It's just a sad situation.

Undoubtedly LE doesn’t have anything to prove that Robert or Mary knew of the intentions that TJ had as they went to the lake or they likely would have been charged as such. TJ may not have known what he was about to do but he had the weapon and let anger take control. I agree, the whole thing is sad.

I'm fearing she might walk on perceived innocence, but both you and the Sheriff have painted a picture of Mary that clearly indicates she's not an upstanding citizen.

Interestingly enough, while we are not tracking Wm Robert Wiggins misdemeanor cases, he actually has an upcoming trial for those nuisance charges. It is strange that they would take Tony and Robert to trial for all the lessor charges, instead of absorbing them into the murder trial, or handling them afterward.
FYI but no need to track. Just thought it was interesting.

I don’t think it’s necessary. We just have to keep in mind that the hearing dates are interspersed and know which ones to ignore. If the media makes mention of them at all that is.

If I recall correctly, the nuisance charges were citations issued to all of the residents of the compound, and when they were ignored, they were escalated to warrants. I don't think it's necessary to track how they lived with raw sewage surrounding them. MOO

The only case I see online for Mary is the accessory to murder one. Maybe nothing else escalated previously or maybe there is something in a neighboring county. I haven’t bothered to look.

Honestly I don't know her. I've met her once and that one time she was talking about kicking someone's butt. When this went down, and Grady Judd released the names to the public, everyone local to me on my facebook that I'm friends with was saying that they weren't surprised, that she was always in trouble, had a reputation around town (here in highlands county). I personally don't know of anything she has done. I may have come in contact with her before and just never knew it, but I try to avoid the drama. LOL I have too much going on in my life to do drama that's not my own.

I searched highlands county and Mary only has 2 cases. Nothing major it looks like. She just may not have gotten caught.

I remember the Sheriff saying that she was mean but that doesn’t automatically suggest a long criminal history. Considering that she was with TJ, judgement may not be her strong suit but I still say that she has some cards left to play with this situation if she will tell the truth. Who knows, she may stay loyal and try to protect the guy, people choose some strange hills to die on sometimes.
