So if they are still being secretive, the case must not be so open and shut. I wonder if they are trying to locate the supplier to prosecute. I hope they are. Most likely they stopped somewhere along the way to buy or consume, and police probably are trying to put a case together. I wonder what could be the cause of death for the one without drugs in the system? Of course the final tox might show both had them. If someone is dying of an OD could they do harm to someone else? Perhaps they called their supplier for help and he drove up there and killed the living one to shut that person up. Sorry for my wild speculation, but i wish more pushers would be prosecuted for murder.

The vehicle was pulled off the side of the road far enough to not get hit and the hazards were turned on shows presence of mind when the car was pulled off the road. May have stopped to consume or help another person.

The only thing about consuming there to me is, they were very close to being home. Within 20-30 mins they would have been in Ormond. Also there is a hwy that runs from Sanford to Daytona I often take instead of I-4. Seems there would be lots of places to pull off if you might want to consume that would hardly be noticed. I do agree the distance pulled off might mean another vehicle was there...but if i were pulling over on the interstate, I might move over to the grass too just for safety. I am thinking whatever happened, the police think there is more to it.

Perhaps they met their dealer on the side of the road and decided to take some right away? Just thinking out loud. I just find it so odd to pull over to get high if close to home.

The news reports said no drugs were found in the vehicle. That might have changed and we haven't been told. I wonder if one of them got real sick and pulled over. Perhaps they called their dealer back in sanford who was also a friend. Just speculating. I have noone in mind. Maybe the dealer came to assist and found at least one dead or near death. Maybe this dealer took the drugs and left. Maybe he even did something to the living one. Just a thought.

I bet they consumed a Molly from the drug dealer and because the the first effect wears off quickly, they'll take another one.

This following is a good description of what it is and how other things could be mixed in with it. Combined with marijuana it is dangerous.

And, I bet they are looking for the drug dealer.

Does anyone know where their phone last pinged or if it was in their possession, who they called last or when the last call was made?

Which is why I think they had already taken or injested something and it hit them real hard while driving. I dont think it was a needle type thing.
I am guessing they took something before they headded out and the effects of it hit them at the point they had to stop.

The only thing with that theory is trying to think of what it could have been. Methodone was one thought I have been wondering about. There is a liquid form of methodone and when it is drank in too large of quantities it can be lethal. Especially if someone is trying to take too much on purpose to get a buzz or especially if mixed with alcohol it can have a nasty reaction.

"Deaths have been reported during initiation of methadone treatment for opioid dependence. In some cases, drug interactions with other drugs, both licit and illicit, have been suspected. However, in other cases, deaths appear to have occurred due to the respiratory or cardiac effects of methadone and too-rapid titration without appreciation for the accumulation of methadone over time. re ^bbm I understand some dealers are friends/acquaintances of buyer/users, but it never occurred to me that drug dealers would offer 'roadside assistance' for ppl having bad reactions or OD'ing. Maybe some dealers emulate AAA Club? IDK, could be. Seems more likely that if dealer went to them, motivation was to remove drugs, like mrseeker posted. JM2cts.

Those unfortunate little boys. Sad, sad, sad.

Had to chuckle at the roadside assistance my thoughts are more of a perp with a guise lure type

One other drug I suspect could be the culprit in this case is Fentanyl. More and more we are hearing stories of dealers putting Fentanyl in with other substances to make the buyer think they got a real good deal.

It is powerful and very deadly if too much fentanyl is used.

People in the drug dealing business are sneaky and what sometimes happens is if they have access to Fentanyl then they will buy some heroine for dealing and keep most of it for themselves and then spike the rest with Fentanyl to sell. It gives their buyers a powerful high and then they get to keep the real stuff.

The problem with that drug though is just a little bit of it can kill you and that is what LE is seeing happening all over the place.

this could lead them to the drug dealer too -- I think? Although I dont really know how much that matters their deceased.

Maybe that is the reason we are getting no info maybe they are going for a big bust??

I was in the doctor's office this evening and the news out of Orlando said that drugs were found "inside one of the bodies".

This is from the station I was watching. On second glance it looks like they meant in the system. http://www.clickorlando.com/news/au...ents-found-dead-near-car-with-children-inside

Thus article states they were positive for drugs: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/breaking-news/os-dead-parents-drug-positive-20170105-story.html

It seems like one story is reporting only 1 parent tested positive but the other said both did. Interesting.

They do a horrid job with that a lot of foster care folks only want to add one. Cost raising a kid matters here too

Far more than anyone wants to know a lot are in that system for the money tho but all of a sudden having two kids is quite a deal

How would they test positive for drugs already? I thought toxs took awhile? I know for my sons father took two months or so.

I guess they did a quick test (urine?) to check for the usual culprits.

kind think the idea that they may have swallowed a bunch cause a cop u turned is good.

The cop said she had been in that area, (and sounds like she was doing small circles - no LESS than 30 min) might have spooked em

they apparently have had some DCF problems in the past, the kids were in the car. The city they live in is tiny- so I do not think car mechanic was busy.

They may have been dealing for money - they just moved that costs money.

If the dealing angle is bought in - that also could explain why no info -- LE is busy with trying to get a bust done.

Quincy has 7900 people (google ) and has a lot of rehab centers!! Fair conclusion that the area has some drug issues!

I would think new years is a drug dealers black friday!

All speculation tho

Seems molly is issue in area
