I'm not sure what you took from Josh’s response other than it being indeed responsible. I interpreted Josh’s response as indicating he’s not convinced Wendi was directly involved, though he believes she was likely aware. That’s been my position from the start, and I’m surprised that, based on publicly available information, so many following this case have an unwavering belief that she was directly involved in this plot. I don’t think Josh would have been so reluctant to respond if he believed beyond a reasonable doubt that Wendi was directly involved. The case against Wendi is complex, and I have issues with how it’s argued and presented on social media. That’s likely why I found Josh’s comments and response to the million-dollar question so refreshing.

I believe that all parties worked to preserve plausible deniability for Wendi. As in: "Don't tell me about it. I don't want to know about it." When everyone knew that Dan was to be killed and that Wendi might be asked for critical information or cooperation as long as it was done with some cover story like a TV repair. In short, Wendi may not have had specific knowledge, but she knew that a plan was in motion. As the date approached, she was given enough hints to reach correct inferences. Which is why Charlie was so upset at her drive by the crime scene.

Not just directly involved in the plot but that she is the mastermind of the whole thing. That she expertly manipulated Donna and Charlie and put the thought into their heads.

I thought Josh was measured and responsible in his commentary. I took from it that he was saying, hey, lets be careful about accusing people of murder. I think it's significant that he didn't say "lock her up!"

To me, there's NO WAY she didn't know. But the psychology of this family makes pretty clear to me how this Shakespearean tragedy came to be. So I've had my sights on Donna the whole time. Someone else had the insight that people hate Wendi more because it feels like she "won." She got everything; the kids, the money and the lifestyle she wanted. And she gets to be free forever?!! That is what feels like a greater injustice to some. To me the greatest tragedy here is how Donna destroyed not only all her children's and grandchildren's lives but Danny's and the Markels lives as well

Prosecutor Georgia Cappleman said the Markel family, who lives in Canada, will be appearing via Zoom. Markel’s parents, Ruth and Phil, both addressed the court in person just minutes after the guilty verdict was announced back on September 4.

Defense attorney Jackie Fulford says Donna Adelson “will likely make a statement” at today’s sentencing hearing and there may be several other family members and friends who will speak on her behalf.
