There is something about the Christopher Marlowe piece that troubles me but I cant quite put my finger on what it is. Weird I know but thats how it feels just now.Perhaps it is the forceful style of the article for it is bordering on brutal IMO.Im not trying to denigrate it because it is very well written; no typos and near perfect grammar.
Im no English expert but Marlowes work is of ready to publish standard and you dont encounter that on the net everyday of the week.Is anyone aware of him posting a follow up?
About the photos showing the POI. When I first saw these I got the impression the POI was striding purposefully. There is one second between the two photos so the speed of walking can be calculated. The time on the photos is 1300 hours but I read somewhere where it said to deduct one hour from the time shown on the photo.
With this deduction these photos are still some four hours after the estimated time of the alleged assault.
Would this time frame be normal for this type of crime?
Im wondering if this POI is actually a suspect.
Mystery64, here is my take on Marlowe's post: No the poster never came back to the original site where he posted. The site deleted his post, so no wonder he never came back. The site is a message boar created for the Kesse family by a friend and the admin there doesn't allow anything like this to be posted there. However, just a day or so ago, admin did allow a link to Marlowe's post at another site to be posted there.
Here is my take on Christopher Marlowe's post:
If you have ever read :
JOURNEY INTO DARKNESS, written by John Douglas,
one of the FBI's Premier Investigators, as depicted on the cover of his book, which also states
Penetrates the Minds and Motives of the Most Terrifying Serial Killers,
You would not be surprised by his post and this might explain it. imo if
The poster follows what one would be taught if taking courses at QUANTICO, the FBI Academy, studying profiling and criminal investigative analysis.
Page 12. Douglas states--We work on the principle that behavior reflects personality and generally divide the profiling process into 7 steps.
1. Evaluation of the criminal act itself.
2. Comprehensive evaulation of the specifics of the crime or scenes.
3. Comprehensive analysis of the victim or victims.
4. Evaulation of premilinary police reports.
5. Evaluation of the medical examiner's autopsy.
6. Development of the profile with critical offender characteristics.
7. Investigative suggestions predicted on construction of the profile.
What the poster was doing was following John Douglas's 7 Steps and two categories of murderers, which he puts in 2 categorial types. Which the poster sited in his post as being 'organized'.
1. organized
&
2. disorganized
I have 3 of John Douglas's books sitting here and one by Candace DeLong. They use the same theories. It is what they are taught when attending the FBI Academy.
In rereading the poster's post again, it appears to me this poster has read John Douglas's books and others. Poster has an interest in learning what makes these perpetrators tick and has been able to do an analysis of what has been learned so far with Jennifer's disappearance.
And he did a great job! imo
It could be right on, it is eerie and scarry, but seems to me, Marlowe followed the Master, John Douglas's outline when analyzing this case!
I became interested in reading John Douglas's books during the trial of Westerfield. Gad, I forget his first name, that's OK, he is pathetic!
Also during the Westerfield trial, there was a poster here called Ned, learned a lot from him, and he was the one who iniated my reason for purchasing JD's books and others.
Anyway when re-reading his post, I had a flashback of JD's method of working a case, and dug the books out.
