I read one comment that said it was a woman wearing oversized shoes as a diversion 😂 I would bet all the money in the world that it's a dude. There's a couple of cases (like Missy Bevers) were people are obsessed with the suspect being a woman, when the evidence and stats will clearly prove otherwise. For reasons I cannot fathom right now, it's almost as if they WANT it to be a woman.
The motive is probably obvious: rape and murder. So it's strange that they see a woman, just by logical thinking.

Yeah, I understand thinking outside of the box but I never agreed with the speculation that it's a woman here. A woman overpowering Jennifer, murdering her and successfully hiding her body? A woman having motive to kill her to begin with? I just don't see it. Man for sure.

She was a very pretty young woman, who knows what creep noticed her and decided to target her. :(

Yes, I do think J attracted quite a bit of attention. She was young, beautiful, vivacious and friendly, from all accounts. I'm sure she was noticed by many, many men. And, as we know, she definitely attracted attention at her building. Apparently, the workers would often stop/be silent when she walked by. She was very uncomfortable around them.

I think this will be one of those cases where the answer is obvious, at least it's obvious to me that it was done by construction workers.

I know this isn’t a popular opinion but I agree. The sort of forward leaning,as well as the overall shape. Even the hair.
The dogs also tracked the scent of Jennifer all the way back to her apartment complex from where her car was parked. IMO that is because the suspect had her scent on him. Why would the suspect go back to the complex if they didn't live or work there? They wouldn't.

trying to picture someone assaulting or kidnapping her, where her car becomes involved and she (or her body) ends up inside it, but preferably isn't super high risk, attention-grabbing behavior...

i think one of these seems likely:
- someone assaults her as she's getting into the car. if conspicuously, the perp then gets them both out of there quickly.
- someone assaults her on her way to her car, without being too conspicuous. e.g., pulls a gun and says "shut up and get in the car".
- the initial encounter and maybe also entering the car together was voluntary. believable if it's someone she knew. then things turned bad later. planned or not.

what doesn't seem likely to me:
- someone assaults her outside her apartment, conspicuously and for an extended period of time
- someone assaults her inside her apartment and then moves her or her body to her car
- someone assaults her in or near her apartment, disposes of her body on site, and then moves her car for some reason
I don’t believe she was in the car once she was kidnapped due to the condition the car was found and it didn’t seem to be throughly cleaned due to the dust on it plus they admitted there were over a hundred finger prints inside it. I will attach the pics of the car as found. I think the items would have been knocked off the area between the seats if there would have been a struggle. You can also see dust particles all over the console so that tells me the car wasn’t cleaned that well. For years they stated only one print was found inside her vehicle suggesting a thorough cleaning but on a recent show the detective admitted there a lot of prints found inside. This leads me to believe that Jennifer made it to her car safely at some point and drove to wherever she was attacked. I don’t believe she was killed at Mosaic since it seems the car didn’t go directly from Mosaic to HOTG.
