I predict: Lonna will move in with WRE's parents unless she gets a better offer. He's her man. She gave up a lot to be with him & she's sticking by him. If the dead toddler's mom supports him, it will be harder to convict.

why she still (I guess still) would have custody of her daughter. The children were
in a dangerous situation, drugs, dealers, unknown characters in and out to purchase
the narcotics.

Maybe Lonna is trying to get information about where her son is. Maybe LE is directing that contact because she could possibly talk WRE into giving up where he dumped her baby or where he sold him.

Maybe she feels compassion for the parents of a man who probably took her son's life because they are about to lose him to life in prison and it's not their fault he turned into a lying baby killer criminal. Maybe she genuinely likes them.

Florida DCF is investigating her and will determine if she is a fit mother and where her daughter should live.

The Department of Children and Families is investigating to determine what is best for Barton’s daughter. Officials with DCF said they know this is a difficult time for the family, and they want to be respectful and keep in mind that the girl could have lost a sibling.

There's an article somewhere in this thread that said Lonna's daughter was staying with a family member just a few days after Lonzie disappeared and IIRC Lonna was not living at that place, but I can't find it. That could indicate that her daughter was placed with the family member, that Lonna was not allowed to live there until a DCF investigation was concluded. However, DCF traditionally does not divulge their findings due to the child's privacy rights, so if they have taken away the daughter and/or who she has been placed with, we aren't likely to find any reports of that finding.

And, for what it's worth, has anyone considered that Lonna L. Barton has been absent from the public because she might have gone into rehab after tragically losing her son to a situation she feels responsible for? If we are going to speculate about what she's done and why, perhaps giving her the benefit of the doubt is in order unless or until LE says otherwise?

ETA: I can't find any reports that Ebron and LL were dealing drugs either, so not sure where you got that from. Link please? That's news to me. I know they were caught with a variety of drugs a couple months ago, but that doesn't mean he or she were dealing.

It was reported Lonna 's daughter was staying with the grandmother, I assume it was Lonna's mother.

I also wondered if DCF placed her there till things was more clear as to what happened to Lonzie.

I know this is OT but I wondered if anyone could start a new thread for another child who thankfully is alive but was beaten, raped and run over by a bicycle. She is 8 years old and was pulled into the woods of Jacksonville. She is currently in PICU after 3 hours of surgery. Neighbors who found her didn't even recognize her. Indeed he is! That is the best part about this case, he is exactly where he needs to be. Investigators will continue to methodically put all the pieces together to support the impending murder case against him.

Oh! The poor darling. I wouldn't know 'where' to start this thread, so whomever does, please provide a link here for us.

Above, there is talk of Lonzie possibly having been sold. I personally don't think that is the case. During the interview with the chief, he explained that a lot of the searches previously performed were strategic, and he hinted that they were based on information they received from Lonzie's sister. I think Ebron was running around disposing of Lonzie's items in different locations. I would assume one of those items was Lonzie himself.

Did I miss a map of all of the search locations? I think it would be very interesting to see a visual mapping of the loop Ebron took during those missing hours from 8:00 pm - 2:30 am, (especially for trying to determine where he was when his phone was off for two hours) and including the midnight-ish laundrymat run.

The chief also stated that he's 99% certain Lonzie is deceased, which was also hinted as being based on information gleaned from the sister. The chief then noted that she would basically need intensive therapy to cope with what she had witnessed. None of that sounds like Lonzie was sold, but instead killed and disposed of.

My impression was she was living with her husband & children when she hooked up with Ebron.

Yes she was and apparently there were "custody issues" according to an earlier article. Unless someone has proof that she was the sole guardian then that is an incorrect and misleading statement

I only see only one comment by her under CB's name but she says its her. The other comment i think was him thanking people for their help.

The commentary on the FB page. The guy RB's comments, and no denial about it that i have seen if CB is on there which i believe he has been because he wanted the "Find Lonzie" page taken down, and they changed the name of it to "Missing Children in Florida", and now its back to its original name of "Find Lonzie Barton".

This is partly why I believe also she is covering something up. Jax sheriffs can say all they want that shes cooperating. I am not buying it. I understand she isnt a "suspect" yet so no one should mudsling at her. However knowing what we know about what "Ebron" did to little Lonzie, what mother will still show support for him and love him? UNLESS she is covering up something. Maybe in the end we are all being played as fools, maybe she did something and hes getting blamed and covering up. Who knows.. time will tell.

Edited to say.. that is IF Ebrons mother is telling the truth about this.
