This clip says, " Jennifer Soto expected to be a " crucial" witness for the prosecution in both trials". ( interesting, considering she says she didn't know anything)

That's interesting. I've not seen any other media outlet reporting this and you'd think it would be big news. I wonder what Vinnie's source is.

Thats what I am wondering. I played it again, what does "expected " really mean? Is it just an assumption b/c she hasn't been charged?

Couple of things.... First off, the bathroom that SS would use is out of this frame. It would be before the dressers on the lower right. Also, it was said in the 896 pg data dump that 3 white crocs were found by the window. A pair of larger sized crocs (JS's), and one croc that matched the one found in the dumpster.

Also keep in mind that SS accidentally woke JS up and said "I was going to take the dog out" (or however it was worded). I think he said that because he was past the bathroom door, nearer to the bed IMO, as he might have been going for the missing croc. As you can see there's a shoe shelf near the bedroom window.

Pg 101: I located 3 white Croc shoes near the window. One pair of women's size 8, and a single left shoe size 5-7, which matched the right size 5-7 located in the trash

Pg 32: . I asked what time she had woken up on February 26, 2024, to which she stated she believed sometime between 0800 and 0815 hours because Stephan had gone into the room to put the leash on the dog. JS got up to assist Stephan with placing the leash on the dog because she did not want him to pee on the bed.

Ok, and add to that:
In an interview with Jenn Soto and the ( really nice ) detective . on feb 27, 2024, he tells Jenn they're bringing the dogs back for another try. The detective asked Jenn if Maddie had any dirty laundry and about keeping the area free for the dogs. , Jenn replies, "Her last dirty laundry is on my bathroom floor and we haven't touched it; we walked around it"
why? Why would you feel the need to walk around Maddi's clothes on your bathroom floor? Is that weird? It's not like an intruder broke into their home and kidnapped her.
Not that it matters but her last laundry should have been her blue birthday dress that I believe from the crime scene photos it was spotted in a hamper in her room. The point is why are you tip toeing around the laundry ? feels like another seed planting, to imply that she is so helpful in the investigation.
Does Jenn have a bathroom in her room or is it outside?

Im just checking on a source and then l will post it

I think her party dress would have been 2nd to the last of what she wore. She had to have changed into something when she got home. Either lounging clothes, or pajamas. So, there could be 2 sets of clothing more recently worn than her party dress IMO. The PJ's being the most important for DNA. Did they find 'stuff' on them?

yes, pyjamas would be more recent than the dress but she showered the night before ( allegedly), according to Slithery Sterns.
Im more questioning why they tiptoed around anything in the house . As far as Jenn was concerned, ( at that time ) she thought maddi was " taken" after she left the house,

This was most likely part of JS's proffer when offered limited immunity. JMO

Florida does not seem to have a separate criminal offense for "child endangerment" but only criminal charges defined as abuse and/or neglect. IMO, there is nothing reasonable about sending your 13-year-old daughter to sleep alone with your boyfriend, a 37-year-old man, in a locked bedroom.

[..]

(e) “Neglect of a child” means:
1. A caregiver’s failure or omission to provide a child with the care, supervision, and services necessary to maintain the child’s physical and mental health, including, but not limited to, food, nutrition, clothing, shelter, supervision, medicine, and medical services that a prudent person would consider essential for the well-being of the child; or
2. A caregiver’s failure to make a reasonable effort to protect a child from abuse, neglect, or exploitation by another person.
Except as otherwise provided in this section, neglect of a child may be based on repeated conduct or on a single incident or omission that results in, or could reasonably be expected to result in, serious physical or mental injury, or a substantial risk of death, to a child.
(2) OFFENSES.—
(a) A person who commits aggravated child abuse commits a felony of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
(b) A person who willfully or by culpable negligence neglects a child and in so doing causes great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement to the child commits a felony of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
(c) A person who knowingly or willfully abuses a child without causing great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement to the child commits a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
(d) A person who willfully or by culpable negligence neglects a child without causing great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement to the child commits a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.

#2 That's how she is dodging it. They need to prove she was aware of the abuse, right? So she denies knowing anything ( so how can she possibly be a witness?) How does willful ignorance or blindness factor in?

Today, I listened to two police interviews, one with SS and one with JS, both on February 27. They had completely different stories.
In a nutshell, she basically says she got up at 9 and left at 930, and he called her at 1015 to apologize for not answering her calls (because he left his phone at home, and when he got home, he noticed the missed her calls. that call was at 1015 while she was at her blood appt.
Stephans version was :
after he left maddi and left the vspe shop the first time,
he drove straight home stayed there for about an hour, and hung out with jenn, b/c Jenn was home the whole time. Then when she wanted to have another Nap, he decided to go run arrands.
He COMPLETELY skipped over everything that happened between 830 and noon. or.... 10 and noon)
I bet those cops. had them at jump.

Snipped for focus

IIRC, JS repeated this story a couple of times, but SS has never said a word about trying to leash the dog.

The whole point is : her responses to questions, were so indicitative of covering his a$$ or hers, not sure. Think of yourself in that sitiation, praying to god your kid is found, if the cops. asked me questions about thngs I had no idea about, I'd be open to listening. She waves all of that off.

  • #474
Yeah, AFAIK she never asked what the cops were doing to find Maddie.

Not. Once.

exactly if anyting It felt like she was almost dissuasive. even on the first night. She is very incongruent in her reactions

This! JS "helped the investigation" already, when she couldn't have known, that her daughter wouldn't be found at school many hours later. Don't touch the clothing, because later on I (JS) have to tell LE, that my daughter probably has been kidnapped. JS has clairvoyant abilities, it seems. MOO

Pretty sure her first-floor BR is “the owner’s / primary BR” with en suite. There was a Zillow listing with lots of photos a number of threads back. OMO.

If she has immunity I can not understand why, from what I've seen they have a lot of solid evidence. Immunity annoys me, seen it used in Tylee & JJ's case for a few people and personally I don't think those people's testimonials help secure a conviction.

That is correct. This is the Zillow info:
