What she was given was derivative use immunity, not a blanket, or total immunity, which is vastly different. In her case it means that the statements made in that particular interview cannot be used against her in court, BUT, she could still face prosecution if other evidence of a crime is discovered (outside of the interview where she was granted derivative use immunity). Most importantly, her immunity that was granted is not total, and she could still be charged if other independent evidence arises. If she has immunity I can not understand why, from what I've seen they have a lot of solid evidence. Immunity annoys me, seen it used in Tylee & JJ's case for a few people and personally I don't think those people's testimonials help secure a conviction.

Big difference IMO. Thank goodness. With all that said... it would be nice to get more info on JS's whereabouts the past year, what she's been up to, and where LE are in this case in regards to JS. Will evidence against her be forthcoming? And soon? One can sure hope so.
